welcome to Boon picking Stadium Still Water Oklahoma home to the Cowboys of Oklahoma State Pistol Pete ready to start firing those pistols for the battle we have in store we are in full on stripe out mode as the fans doing their part to try to distort the vision of the visitors as we'll see a squad from the Big 12 the boyy State Broncos taking on the 21st ranked team of the land the Oklahoma State Cowboys 4A sports college football I'm Rees Davis David poock and Jesse Palmer with me guys it's time to get it going the Broncos will put it away to start the game and he'll just take a knee and this drive will start at the 25 so the Oklahoma State Cowboys offense will take the first swing of the game when this guy comes onto the field David he seems to bring the it factor with him so much fun as a play caller to have a guy you depend on you trust you know Palmer you're going to get the best out of this young man he's also one of those guys David who just elevates everybody else around him right all 10 guys in that puddle offensively just seem to play better knowing they've got confidence in this guy off play action on first down throws to the wide out got it in the middle it's Presley boy did he look as if he was going to go gets it down to the 37 and I really really like when offenses attack over the middle of the field between the linebackers and the safeties there's usually a soft area that you can usually have some success and really nice job by this offense taking advantage of those areas halfway there on first down it's second and five wide out in motion they'll go to the ground keeps the legs moving he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple if they can convert here that type of play can really get give you a shot of momentum on Third and long he's going to have to throw for it and the heat gets home they knock him down back at the 45 and you don't want to see this trend continue last week he was sacked four times the offensive line This offense as a whole needs to get in better situations get rid of the football faster and not keep getting their quarterback hit the Cowboys will call on their punt team you ought to be able to use this first punt to pin him deep maybe one notch of adrenaline too much on the punt there it hits about a yard Deep In The End Zone it'll come out to the 20 so the boisey State Broncos offense has its first opportunity of the day as we take a look at our impact players for this one what are you looking for Jesse for a guy to make an impact well these are simply put the leaders of this football team and generally games go how these guys play if they they make plays and they've got a shot to win this one no doubt they got to show up these are the team leaders these guys have to play well if they're going to win the football you can barely hear yourself thinking here as they're trying to get this defense off to a good start and maybe a wise move not to even try the pitch as he's knocked down in the back field better find the earplugged here comes the noise backing this defense on third down quick strike complete and they wrap him up but not before he gets enough on the catch for the first down the Broncos come to the line with a new set of downs going to run it it's Genty they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one lost one on that last one it's second and 11 he's looking to throw that pass is incomplete and they might be fortunate it wasn't knock free for a fumble it'll be third down looking downfield it's Nelson coming after [Applause] it and the Broncos decide to punt it away bringing it back it's pressling they'll put that return to a stop at the 33 but the offense set up in pretty good field position and now the offense will come onto the field again they'll give it to the back able to SC three yds out of that one somehow it's second and seven tried to pound it on first down now back to the line they'll keep it on the ground just sort of a Relentless run getting everything that was available to him and they'll Mark him down at the 40 to the ground to try to move the chains brought to the ground but not before getting it up for the first down the offense setting up shop at the 46 first and 10 pulls and throws off the RPO and they pick up just a few on that completion picked up some yardage on the ground now here comes second [Applause] down hand off to the single running back they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here they go to the draw they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one and the Cowboys will punt it away on fourth down this will be the second time they've had to kick it away a fairly short distance here toward the sidelines not his best work boisey state has it back ready to go to work on offense that last Drive won't go on the Highlight Reel after ending in a punt they'd like to be more productive this time David and I think this offense has to be a little bit more balanced find a little balance between the Run Jesse and working in that pass and I think too David it's just going to take a spark it just takes one play to get this thing picked up and going and he's brought down but a flag is also down we'll repeat the previous down but this time the offense has 10 more yards it has to cover back to throw it's Nelson fir one high and deep and they want it at all on that incomplete pass instead they're looking at third down they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one it's complete to the left and sure tackling there to keep him from getting to the first down marker the Broncos will send out the punt unit this will be the second time they've had to kick it away looking for a block it's Presley everybody body stays in their Lan well enough and they stop him at the 31 yd line line gets set first down from the gun they'll give it on the inside pushes ahead for a couple they'll mark it at the 33 picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down from the gun the ground game really nice stop there from this Seas senior leader coming to the line of scrimmage on third down from the gun wants to pass makes the grab good job running that route to get past the sticks because he got nothing after the catch the hand off from the gun makes his man miss they pick up half of it it'll be second and five as they get set to snaping just about to reach the end of the quarter trying play action right down the middle it's caught and he's brought down after a nice game it has been all defense all the time in the early going as we wrap up the first quarter and the stats certainly reflect that let's see if the offenses can find a little Rhythm here in the second the Cowboys look to keep this drive humming to the air it's Bowman and this senior quarterback a little too bold there and he's lucky he didn't get picked off throwing into double coverage keeping it on the ground with the single back they make the stop but this running game moves the change as they get the first down and the Cowboys come to the line with a fresh set of downs they'll ride the hot hand nice move to keep running and he Wales in for the score touchdown Oklahoma State and that's three touchdowns in two games just continuing to find the end zone continuing to make plays this guy is on Pace for a great season he's put the college football World on notice [Music] lining up to tack one more onto that lead and the P makes it 7 nothing let's go to the studio now and check in with Kevin Connors Kevin what do you got terrific Showdown this week guys let's take a look at what's going on Oregon state is currently trailing in this one but it feels like the tide may be turning these beaves have picked themselves up before and they're capable of it again today it's a touchdown game they're trailing by seven to Arizona we'll Circle back if anything big happens you should know about and how about that one Kevin will be keeping an eye on everything going on elsewhere after a big Gainer on that first play now they can really go for it on First and 10 the give to the back you'll take this every time five yards on the first down play after a good pick up on the run it's second down he's looking to throw and the quarterback is snowed under and this has been a struggle for this offense protecting their quarterback it's priorities mission number one right every single game you go into last week I think a lot of reason they lost was because they gave up so many sacks and hits on their quarterback [Music] Here Comes This Home crowd as the defense tries to get off the field on third down back to pass it's Nelson all kinds of room to throw that one in there he got loose almost housed it finally dragged down at the 32 That's What's So Scary About This offense they've got guys in the perimeter that can change the game in one single single play and you saw it right there too much speed on the perimeter to create that explosive play not much there on the line he gets one to the 31 didn't get much on first down it's second and nine and the runner is down and so is a [Applause] flag that penalty moves the ball back 10 yds will replay the down quarterback hands alone all wide receivers he wants to throw here on second down zings it complete to the right they bring him down but a solid pick up to put them in position to pick up a first down on third down he drops to throw and the incomplete pass will bring up fourth down here comes the field goal unit as they'll try to get the three this will be a 50yd field goal attemp and he'll have to curl it in from the right side never a doubt well that kid just showed off his hammer for a leg 50 plus and he did it with ease [Applause] so after putting three on the board the kickoff team is out there ready to boot it away here he comes from inside his own five not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 Oklahoma State hoping to get the pistols firing on offense from the gun they'll try to impose their running game they knock him down after a gain of three to the 23 after the three yd pickup they come to the line second and seven quarterback on the keeper One Step WRA Two Step squeeze this junior knows how to get him on the ground now facing a third and long dropping back it's Bowman makes the grab on the left solid work in execution there they'll have a first down as they mark it as the 40 here's his offense with a fresh set of downs the give to the tail back that mfield he's got room and he found plenty of Running Room on that one before the defense was finally able to get him down they're going to ride this running back they finally get him on the ground with a big running play moves to change for the first down the Cowboys come to the line with a new set of downs it'll be a draw and they'll stop him just a short of the first down just inches away from moving the steps out of the shotgun they go to the ground they knock him down right there Ball's at the 27 it's third and short can they avoid making that fourth down decision to the ground to try to pick up the first got some room headed to the goal line and he'll step into the end zone down Cowboys and I love the bounce back for this offense we lost a week ago let's put that in the rear VI Mir that game's gone let's improve let's get better so far in this first half they've done just [Music] that now they'll line up for what they hope is automatic and the extra point makes it 143 they marched 79 yds on the drive and he capped it off with a 27 yd touchdown run he'll bring it back from inside to SP not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 the Bronco offense back out there ready to give it another spin looking for a man it's Nelson flips it out in the flat and a good job in coverage there as they stop it after just a few now after the short completion it's second down out of the gun they'll run it inside not a lot of room and found his way ahead for two out to the 26 now looking for that first down on Third and short from the 26 from the gun wants to pass caught near the sticks it's Genty and the gives him a fresh set of downs and keeps this drive moving with a first down they'll snap it from the 32 from the gun running back gets to give got behind those pads and picked up three out to the 35 got three on first down it's second and seven the give to the running back from the shotgun tackle was made after the first down and the Broncos are on the move off the play fake on first down fires on the move going to throw it to the right he's got his man he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense looking to move it through the air good job to toss that ball out of bounds and avoid the loss they'll try again on second down after the incompletion he's looking to throw finds a tight end they make the stop but this passing game does some damage and they move the sticks with the first down he's going to pass pressure coming got rid of it just in time and that one's too high out of bounds incomplete couldn't make the play last time now it's second and 10 from the 30 he'll just keep slinging it it's caught downfield and he ran away from the crowd and he'll take it in touchdown boyy State this coaching staff was trying to identify Playmakers on offense early this year how about the start of the season this guy has had scored in their first game he scored early in this one defenses up to this point don't have any answers for this guy now they'll line up for what they hope is automatic and it's up and good as they draw Just a Touch closer foul kick so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty the kickoff team out there to boot it away in 15 yds farther up the field after the roughing the kicker penalty first down here for the [Music] [Applause] offense he's looking to throw it the quick out and he'll step across the sidelines after making a good gain on that one so much for Jumbo sets they'll go five wide on second and two back to pass it's Bowman he's going for it all and it's incomplete good play downfield by the DB couldn't pick it up on second down now they need to couple on third down they'll try to get the first through the air another incompletion on third down and the Cowboys will line up to punt it [Applause] away they'll get down and put a stop for the return at about the 28 yd line boyy State ready to send out that offense to the air on first down got it behind the line it's Genty there's a timeout called as this offense tries to find a way to draw a little closer on second down he's looking down field and it'll be incomplete this is some physical pass defense it'll take some work to get to the sticks it's third and long from the 30 trying to burn this defensive back snags it on the right hit the gas kid wide open the head and he Motors into the end zone tdch down Broncos if I'm a play caller nowadays man I want more guys like this just versatility you can see he can catch it out of the back field like a wide receiver or he can run it nice job catching the football with his hands using his speed to do the rest and get into the end zone [Applause] lining up to add another kick and the extra point puts them up by a field goal and let's check in with Kevin Connor's in the studio Kevin top 15 teams colliding today in a huge matchup and it's now a final Old Miss came through with a lunch pale hard hat performance and the end result is an eye opening Road Victory and I guess it's not so much that they won it's more how they won and the fact this wasn't ever really in question got his man quickly iron sharpens iron and you just know a top 15 match up like this is going to go a long way in telling the story of each of these team Seasons Kevin thanks a lot for that one sounds as if they had a good one there he's right on target we got a timeout here late in the first half and they'll trying to get more points on the board before the break looking to throw it's Bowman looking left makes a connection and a big gain there he's knocked down immediately at the 45 the offense quickly calls timeout to stop the clock shoots it to the left it's complete just what this offense was looking for sets him up at the 26 with the first down and that is first down he wants to throw got it and he's into the end zone touchdown cowboy and I just love the execution by this offense late in the half man you want to take the lead you want to get that momentum on your side and they do it they finish it with the passing game and tell you what keep that passing game up you can keep this lead keep the momentum and keep putting up numbers [Music] ready to try the point after and the extra point is good and it's a four-point lead a very efficient five play scoring drive and they finish the deal with a 26 yd touchdown pass on the run from inside his own five didn't find any creas in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 boyy state has it back ready to go to work on offense now you find out just how much of a gunslinger you are will you roll the dice here late in the half David and you know the defense is going to be really really conservative so I think it's an opportunity to be able to take a shot see how much of a chunk you can get before then you decide really Jesse how you want to finish the half just can't turn it over and throw a pick if you're the quarterback here you have got to be so smart if you're going to be aggressive with your decision we played two quarters here time to go to Kevin Connors in our halftime update all right fellas looks like you've had a very enjoyable day there today in Still Water the passing game for both sides has been outstanding on point unrelenting they've excelled in the short game the intermediate game and especially on the Deep ball all in all a thrilling display of offensive Firepower and these defenses have a lot to discuss here at halftime and with that let's head back to the home of the pokes and Boon picking Stadium we're ready to get it started here in the second half he'll start the return inside his spot nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 the Bronco offense back out there ready to give it another spin getting some heat he hurs one deep down the left side the incomplete pass leaves him with second down looking to pass it's Nelson dumps it to the back he's got it down the middle nice pitch and catch there and they'll have enough for the first down the Broncos want to move quickly you know it's a nice throw by the QB there when you're throwing to running backs you got to make it easy on them so you want to put it right on their body make the catch simple and let them go to work like they did just there getting that first he stopped just a chain link or two away from the first down and sets them up beautifully here and you can give all the credit to the crowd for that one offense no chance and call for the false start the officials offer the deal and the coach accepts it they will take the penalty the inside handoff finally pulled down but not before moving the change for a first down and the Broncos are are on the Move holds and fires complete to the right and the defense settled in to stop that one for a short gain and here comes the offense on second down he'll do it himself and how about that interior defense stuffing the run for nothing third down conversions are a huge stat and this one would be a dooy if they can pull it off and that's incomplete a Defender all over him knocked the ball to the ground fourth down coming up gets it away good distance but more importantly just the direction he wanted Oklahoma state has it back and the offense is on the field man what a drive last time for the touchdown that passing attack was Lethal David yeah and you know you hear all these stupid commentators like me and Jesse talking about create balance you know run and pass no when you throw that good spin the ball around so the defense has to find a way to affect the quarterback on this drive because last drive he had way too much time to throw caught behind the line it's Gordon the defense wouldn't let him loose and even though it's a completion they lost yardage third down coming up on Third and long a check down would be the last s they're working that left side and that defense pushing him out of bounds after a short gain the Cowboys line up to punt it away three and out they got stuck in Reverse they hope the punt can bail them out he'll be content with the field position making the fair catch right around the 30yd line boyy State ready to send out that offense leaves it with the running back and that's a very productive first down play and bringing up second and three out of the gun to give to the back and he's knocked down but there's also a flag that's been dropped let's check on the [Applause] call just an obvious holding call there and one that just kills an offense's momentum trying to make that Rush think on the draw play here he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple third down conversions always a huge stat and they've got a third and long from the 27 and he got smacked just as he released the pass it's incomplete the Broncos will try to pin them back with the punt three and out and not much choice but to get rid of the ball and the returner is stopped on first down here comes this offense PS and fires complete and just a short safe pass play they pick up a few let's see what they've got on second down give to the running back dances away from one and works it to the 40 yard Y Line that'll be a first down here's this offense with a fresh set of [Applause] downs they're getting this guy lathered up a strong tackle and wrap up from the junior didn't get much on first down it's second and nine out of the gun the running back has it and a good solid pick up before the defense Cuts him down and after that last run we'll see if they keep it on the ground on third third looking for a man it's bman got him downfield put it right on him sweet play good pick up and they'll move the chains with the first down and the Cowboys come to the line with a fresh set of downs he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple offense working from the pist right back to the well and they're able to shove him to the turf as they stop him for a short gain a third and long coming up here from the gun wants to pass trying to get to it just too much of a rush and down goes the quarterback just behind the Midfield stripe at the 49 and the defense there goes Zone coverage maybe confused the quarterback a little bit forced them to hold on to the football and that allowed the pass rush to get home the Cowboys send out the punt unit they may have to pay him overtime he's punting for the fifth time today he'll get away another punt he's been really active today and no doubt he's going to earn his varsity L boyy state has it back ready to go to work on offense they'll ride the running back can leave it with him into the pile maybe got one he stopped at the 21 didn't get much on first down it's second and nine give to the running back and the defense finally makes the stop after the sweet run and good gain ball is at the 35 it's first and 10 they move the tight end all over they go to the ground they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one lost one on that last one it's second and 11 leaves it with the back and he doesn't find much Running Room a short gain on the play offense breaks the Huddle on third down to the air it's Nelson fires to the middle and the pass Falls incomplete and we have played three quarters if you like old school running games this has been the game for you and a couple of guys who starred through the first three periods one more period to go to see who can make the winning plays and come home with the Victory and the Broncos will punt this one away they've been busy out there to punt for the fifth time today on the return it's Presley they'll get down and put a stop to the return at about the 28 yd line Oklahoma State hoping to get the pistols firing on offense here's another opportunity Jesse to stretch out this lead after punting last time I think it goes back to your Playmakers reys I think it's finding the guys that have been working for you earlier on in this game and getting them the football yeah and there's obviously no need to panic I mean think about it you got the lead you got the football you got to be smart with the football make your plays put a good drive together here hold amazing how many times an offensive holding penalty will stall a drive we'll see if the offense can overcome it he wants to pass it on second down oh so close to paying off the tip really he had it in his hands but it falls incomplete to the ground with the back oh he got loose oh he broke out another move what a Nifty one there to pick up the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs might as well give it to him again runs through the tackle not a whole lot of progress made there on the short rrive after picking up a couple at second and eight they'll run it out of the shotgun and it is a good idea to gang tackle first guy couldn't get him second guy finally did and the Cowboys are moving quickly down the field they'll try the Run shakes off the tackler and he's ridden to the ground but there's also a flag down let's check the call holding penalties the ultimate Drive killer we'll see if it cost this offense here looking to throw it's Bowman complete with conviction on the Crosser they make this stop but not before he takes a chunk out of what they need to move the sticks off the bootle to buy a little space and they got him for the sack when it's a playaction pass that quarterback he really has to sell the fake he can't tell his offensive lineman's getting beat right away while he's selling the fake he had no shot seventh play of the drive coming up but a long way to go on third down looking to throw and he needs a chunk play and he feels the heat coming and it burns him up another sack and the defensive line you know third and long situations I'm rushing the quarterback you bringing the nickel a little bit more speed on the field and the defensive line gets home and gets the sack on third down the Cowboys will bring the punt team onto the field they're up to a half dozen kicks today fair catch called for and made the Bronco offense back out there ready to give it another spin they've hit a bit of a low here and they need to get things cranked up with this possession Jesse just haven't had a rhythm these last couple of possessions but I'll tell you the best way to get back into one is to run the football establish yourselves up front at the line of scrimmage and help keep these third Downs manageable yeah and the best news is your defense at least forced a pun of their own so now you can go answer with that good stop while this game is still close let's just go keep putting more points on the board and let's see less of the pun they say you could call holding on every play well they did on that one out of the gun the inside K gets it out to the 25 yd line a gain of three decb Rising as the crowd Gets behind this defense on third down dropping back it's Nelson and he just throws it away on third down I don't think you can give up on a play like that the Broncos will call on their punt team and these guys have been busy six of the day and they'll get him down after the return at the 27 yd line the offense lining up for a first down play now on the counter he'll push his way out to the 38 pickup of three after the three- yd pickup they come to the line Second and seven using the quick game and will make his way out of bounds after the solid pickup offense in the Sumo set with the big boys third movement here from the tight end on Third and short trying to impose their will and move the chains they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one and the Cowboys decide to punt it away they'll look to pin him deep running it back it's Genty he gets it up to the 34 yd line before he stopped and that's where the offense will set up shot opening play of this drive comes from the 34 they'll leave it with him makes a man miss just sort of a Relentless run getting everything that was available to him and they'll Mark him down at the 40 here's the handoff a confident tough efficient run gets it up to the 44 these fans stepping up to help this defense on third down they'll try to power their way ahead they've got it to the 49 yd line and they'll move the chains maybe this will breathe a little life into this offense which has been flatlined in the second half here's first and 10 missed his receiver there it's incomplete now inside four minutes to go here on second down they'll run it they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one certain moments in the game you know we just a little bit bigger here's one of them big play coming on Third and long they try to pop a run on the draw they stop him after a short game probably just wanted to mitigate the hosses with fourth down coming and the Broncos will send out the punt unit a fairly short distance here toward the sidelines not his best work Oklahoma state has it back and the offense is on the field their Drive chart is starting to look a little monotonous punt punt punt David and their defense is starting to get a little frustrated too they just keep putting me back on the field possession after possession Jesse this offense needs to get their heads out of there you know what the punter's on the sideline with the oxygen mask right now he's been playing so much he's not used to this this offense they just got to stay on the field they've got to put a drive together and get some balance going running and throwing the ball in the last couple of weeks man you're getting a lot of consistency from this QB and you got to love it as a play caller man you can drop him back you can throw the ball a ton you can trust him getting the ball to different wide receivers he's really in a good Groove the last couple game they bring him down but a solid pick up to put them in position to pick up a first down they'll keep it on the ground the clock is on their side and the defense holds firm no pickup at all on that play quick timeout called by the defense stopping the clock to save as much time as possible for their offense fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way fair catch called for but there is a flag on the play we'll have to sort it out so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty so the offense keeps this drive alive thanks to the roughing the punter penalty the give to the back he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple timeout called there by the defense desperate to get the ball back and save as much time as possible might as well keep pounding that rock at this point in the game even though it's second and 12 and a nice solid pick up there before the defense wrestles him to the ground defense uses a timeout quickly trying to get that ball back and preserve time for their offense scanning the field it's Bowman and a missed opportunity on third down as the defense knocks it free and fourth down is coming up the Cowboys will line up to PL it away and that is textbook instructional video out of bounds right around the goal line they'll run it behind the big guys on the left and I think he got back to the 2yd line but the defense was ready for the Run they'll try to kick it into overdrive clocks running second down coming fires to the right and that's going to fall to the ground in complete that was a physical match up there third down coming feet in the end zone looking to Fire and they fail to hook up on third down the clock is relentlessly working against them down four they'll go for it on fourth down he'll try to throw and pick up the first down incomplete on fourth down and man did they need to keep that drive alive you already have the lead scoring is always good but milk the clock and it will be your R they'll line up for a second down play quarterback's just going to take a knee it came down to the final quarter clutch plays guys delivered and they get a close win yeah Reese Big Time Players make big plays in big games and that's what happened in this circumstance as a coaching staff David you love this you know that you have confidence in your guys to go out and be able to execute when it matters the most correct and you don't know until the games right you don't know when those moments present themselves how are they going to handle a great job handling a close game executing down the stretch like they needed to so that's going to do it for us
