Building in Ghana: plaster upstairs apartment/ garden update

hello YouTube this is your girl I'm back so today we had a late start we l we stay um slept in for a little bit and um now we went to the mall to pick up a few stuff I ran into a YouTuber another YouTuber off the wheel if you ever heard of off the wheel American couple that move here and um we just took our time coming out here today you know I'm feeling a lot better guys if this is your first time I'm kser babe super shat is over there doing what guess what where we at buying cement so you know we doing Plastering so we got to buy cement and so we here buying some more cement we at the cement Depot and I just wanted to come on and say a few things guys thank you guys for joining and watching the video all your support guys look at this this is the staircase look at this staircase you know I did never notice this is how they did this but this is just how my building is being built I want to show you good so let me turn the camera around there's my building over there so for those of you who just join I'm at the cement Depot this this is the main road coming to my um property here and the cement Depot is on the main road there's the police station if you're new here I just want to go over the proximity of where my building is at is over there so that's my building and you can see the other little construction that is going on in this area this cement Depot is apartments on top now this is how my staircase is built this is a perfect example except they they have their roof up and everything this is the height of my building is going to go up three levels and my poly tank is going to be exactly like how this their poly tanks are one and n two but my ply tank would be on this part because I'm going up just like how this is built and then I have a smaller staircase with a smaller poly tank is going to be I'm also going to need one of those little um metal ladders to go up to the poly tank area so this is a perfect example of what I'm building over there you know I'm having people oh it's too heavy it's too this to go on top your building this is the same size poly tanks that I have just like this guys it's going to be just like this same size this one is even a liter more but this one is not on top so they have this one probably supporting this one and then they have a water reservoir because they get Ghana water and it's not reliable here so they have this they have this and they have this for their Apartments so this is a perfect example guys this is the perfect example of how the poet tanks are going to be I'm going to have one down here which is my 5,000 liter the big one then the four 30004 and then the smaller one I haven't bought the smaller one yet but this is it they super shoty so a perfect example for those who are telling me Oh it's too heavy you don't have the support I have big pillows like this with um Steel in them so it can't support it and I think the apartments this building is going to be much bigger than mines so there's the property so keep in mind this is how it's going to be guys this is how it's going to be except for I'm going to have a hidden roof and my poly tons is going to be in the front well in the inside of my building okay they're already starting upstairs outside the patios where they could reach that they don't need any you guys see it's starting to rain sorry for the rain drops it's raining so the plastering continues guys the [Music] plastering so they started upstairs plastering this is yesterday's work they finish so Vincent made a little food guys I have to get this fixed the the rubber came off the bamboos are flying but one thing at a time man we've been busy I got to get my shade fixed the wind it been so windy look at me guys I have a my jacket cuz the rain ising my hair blows I look like a mess because I've been sick too so I had to put this jacket on today because it's always windy here so it's good Breeze but I'm here we need the rain it's kind of rainy so let's see I wanted to address the comment about the poly tank the poly tank is there temporary this whole structure here is supportive this poly tank is not a big poly tank this poly tank is Big these are on pillars so it's very supportive and it'll go up another level because it'll go up higher once we build a second the third pillars I should say for the third floor so and then there'll be another pillar here for a smaller py tank just like how I showed you guys over by the cement Depot we're going up another level so this is temporary to give them water easier access to water and to check some of the plumbing make sure it's sitting there for a while make sure there's no leaks before we put tiles the garden is looking good I have to plant some more seeds I bought some watermelon seeds just now when I was at Shop Right guys I'm out here in the garden with Vincent again and we um he's digging a hole here for compost we're going to put all the compost stuff here and trying to condition some soil so we're going to dig this hole and the one thing with the compost in my need covering to keep it in and keep the pest out um but I got some watermelon and I think I want to put the Watermelons here the watermelons in this area have a little watermelon patch with the pineapples let me know down in the comment what you think about putting the watermelons in remember now this soil is hard it's not soft it looks H but it's hot like rockstone let me show you it's hard it's not sof at all they're hard so but watermelons do grow ha good so watermelons like might do well in this soil so I think I might try I think I'm not going to even nurse them I'm going to have and just plant them in these let me show you the seeds these seeds I got here from shop right Crimson sweet watermelon so let's see what happens then he planted the Alig to Green which is the S sap here I think this is going to be a nice fruit area the all green to Green here and avocado and then we have citrus so guys the onions are is starting to position thems up you see how nature is we plant them to the side but they done already growing up that's what happens they grow towards the light so the peppers I need to get them treated they're looking yellow this set over here but that set over there is doing well maze is coming so I bought a water a little nozzle to water so we'll have water if the rain don't doesn't come sweet um yams is coming guys so we trying to fix the hose I buy these adapters thing but they don't fit the hose adapter's hair lesson learn here guys the hose adapters that they have in the stores doesn't with their little um tops here it's different I think I heard another YouTuber say this before but now I've learned I have to find the proper hose man so I bought this little sprinkler but we got it set up somehow this could attach this is like some a nozzle to wash a car I know it's plastic I know it might not last long but and this is another nozzle a sprinkler system them to water the garden so let's try it out and see Vincent is taking the hose down there everything here is like plastic plastic they had another hose in um shoppr that might have worked better but a green hose like what we used to but it cost and I already had this big one here and it wouldn't have been long enough anywhere like this big one so let's see I'm walking down here with Vincent with this hose to try it out let's see if this nozzle is going to work so we could have the proper watering he's turning on the water so we can try it the water takes a while to reach guys the little sprinkler system that I got here needs a little more pressure so I might have to get a water pump anyway so I might need a water pump and I need to adjust it there's not enough pressure but at least it Waters um you could change it to um a whole 180 circular half um what do you call it 360 you know watering so let's see how this works trying to water these even though they look like they're dying I'm a life sa I like to see things live sorry we trying to adjust this water system but this watering system is it's difficult here okay this little sprinkler that I bought is working but the water pressure is only doing a small area I have to adjust it some more and see see look another thing we could do is put it on a steak like one of these bamboo tie it on there so it'll be high to get everything but we have to adjust the circumference of this water in I know there's a adjustment so let's see what we can do so guys the little watering system I just got here I have to look some more for some good sprinkler heads and a way to easier watering all this is meze they grow here naturally they're hearty so they're growing even though it's just sprinkling rain not anything heavy but these things like the tomatoes and peppers would need water in guys all these maze are coming maze is so hardy turn when I say maze guys is come okay there's the maze coming all has maze coming and we're going to do the watermelon watermelon in that patch where the pineapples would be good the Watermelons will come out guys I can't get a pressure pump until I get electricity the down so you can't water the oak yes but they are now coming oh they coming okro is coming well let's go look at the okro so guys we're going to look at the okro so the O as you can see there's no water and they still coming coming but there's no water so the leaves are swivel they're like shrinking yes so we need to get water down here yeah the PIP IT couldn't reach so I'm I'm going to buy another hose the smaller type hose to fit those attachments that I I'm going to get another hose to fit those attachments that I bought to attach it to this so we could water all the way down here because it's getting dry we getting sprinkles like just now with sprinkled it didn't rain hard so that's what we have to do now we have to um get some water down here to the OK and see these other stuff like the Cava and stuff they used to this type of environment the okra too so that's why they are germinating and growing that's why I think the watermelon is going to be good in this area over here cuz they they grow in this type of environments let's see but a little water in would be nice just to keep them looking nice and fertile so the low watering system experiment here it's working but not as you ient as I need it to be but until we get a pressure pump that's what we have to do I'll get another hose guys now is upstairs for the construction any of those seeds germinating so I was checking to see if any of the seeds that we planted a day or two ago think it was a day ago I if they germinated guys um I was going to go upstairs but he say he's so busy up there so I'm going to stay out right yeah we go there later we go upstairs when they do more because they're too busy I'll get in the way so update and the building stuff later I update you on the garden and what we're doing so the building stuff will come later so guys I had to take off my jacket ah it was just drizzling I didn't want to get sick and guess what now now it's burning hot this is how the weather changes look at the sun there's still some fluffy clouds but now it's hot guys here in this pile of clay it looks like we have sweet potatoes going here so we could take slips from these and start more that's what I think we're going to do tomorrow that no not tomorrow because tomorrow I think I'm going to Festival so guys I'm walking over here to check out the sweet um potato farm over here that the police officer has remember I told you I had a police officer that visit me from the office over there he does farming around here and these are his crops but it looks like I have peace growing because you remember there used to farm and my land so so the soil that they rooted up they had Inc which is peanuts Inc gr nut peanuts and um my property before um I started building grown nuts this they had it planted on my property but I think before that they probably had sweet potato and it looks like it's the same yeah the same sweet potato vine that is planted over hair looks like it's growing over there in the mount that I have of the clay that was on my property so what I'm going to do is that vine that I have I'm going to make clippings I make sweet potato how interesting you see how nature Works things survive it survive these are the ground nuts that they are drying here things survive naturally you know without doing anything that's how nature is man that's how people survive in Africa guys I'm here in Ghana to survive just like the plants and the Animals it's survive oh I'm just kidding man you know sometimes I like to fool around but you know people are watching me you know every day here and they're watching me to see if because I don't have I don't do thing conventional I don't do things regular like by the book you know I have my um workers here my and they are professionals by the way okay they're not just these people has been around building for years people think I just have a a crew like from home building my house no these are professionals they built and I see a nail I'm pushing it aside I don't need another puncture so they've been building they help build like if you know the marins and the big blue these are people that work on those properties so my electric somebody gave me a comment somebody sent me an email about me installing 110 plugs come on guys I'm not going to install 110 plug and not know that they have a different frequency that they have 220 power head my electrician is a professional he is certified he has a license he's certified okay so don't think I just have by the wayside people coming and working on my property no no no no no you know he's not going to install I'm not going to install 110 plugs without knowing that the current needs a step down or something to convert the current to 110 it doesn't work that way you know he knows my electrician knows my um pluma nose they they've been around and not just people I pick up on the way side and don't think they not professionals what make you a professional tell me experience or by the book I'm just kidding you know guys really really no I'm not kidding that what what what really makes you a professional you know having a degree in your profession or just knowing what you do and because there's some people with degrees and don't know you know what I mean right they could sit down and tell you by the book but go out there and pick up a hammer pick up a nail pick up a cable they can't tell you a they know it by the book but they can't tell you how to do it show me how to do it ask them show you how to do it pick up the thing that you telling me how to do some people are good you know reading a book and telling you things about the book but when it comes time for the actual practicals they can't so that's just a little thing that I had to say because people come and oh they're not professional they're waiting for me to fail guys keep waiting okay look keep waiting for me to fail keep waiting for somebody told me today my villing is going to fall down because I put a poly tank they've been putting poly tanks in these buildings like this was how long my poly tank is too big didn't I just show you on the other side the poly tank the same size up just like how I'm doing it and I didn't even notice that they were doing the same thing that I'm doing you know I just happened to be there and I was look up and I was like wait they have the same type of structure that I'm putting up so you know I ain't even answer because that comment because negativity and waiting for somebody to fail you know always that negative that's people you know but anyway I'm positive here and everything is going to work out my poy tank is up there my pipes are in we have running water for them to do their work properly guys I'm just up here chilling on my steps so I think tomorrow we taking a break from the construction and we going to Festival I think I hoping God's will that we going to be to the festival in F tomorrow is the last day but you know I wasn't feeling too well so I waited till I'm feeling better and then soon we might be going to kamasi before we go to the Village so I have some little traveling events coming up hopefully God's willing you know sometimes you need a break from the construction so the construction will continue but I'm taking a break tomorrow they'll be here but I'm taking a break so guys we're getting ready to go but I'm going up there to show you it's getting dark yeah we're losing light again yeah today today we losing light so I'm going up there to show you
