Ohio Woman Arrested for Killing and Eating Cat – Disturbing 911 Calls and #BodyCamFootage

what did you do this case is especially gruesome and it involves an act so disturbing that even season First Responders were shaken a woman in Canton Ohio she destroyed that cat this is allegedly murdered a cat if that wasn't horrifying enough she then ate it when officers arrived they found her covered in blood with cat hair still stuck to her lips as long as I've been a policeman I've never had a call where someone was eating a cat the incident took place on the night of August 16th just before midnight Canton 911 dispatch received a chilling call reporting a woman behaving erratically where's your emergency hey uh I'm in jaon Shar and I have a um I have a black woman that's tweaking out real bad she's on drugs real bad what's your address so I can get the block range uh 19 uh 11 19 Jackson sh the caller clearly distressed described her as tweaking out on drugs wandering around you've never seen her before no I never seen this lady in my life okay did you see what she was wearing is that who you're talking to right now yeah she keep grabbing on to people and she's just eating random stuff off the floor and seeing stuff what is she wearing uh a sundress with flipflops like like um gold slides with a sundress it's like rainbow sundress yellow green blue orange and grabbing people randomly little did he know this was just the beginning multiple calls soon followed escalating the situation look my look okay and you've never seen her before and she just grabbing on you yeah she grabbed on my uh my lady too she couldn't let go for a minute and she walking up on me right now you need to back up okay all right I'm going to get someone out there did she come out of 11:33 no she just came out of nowhere Witnesses reported that the woman had decapitated a cat and was in the process of eating it 911 where's your emergency hi I need ambulance and police don't come over here this girl is um I don't know she's out here on drugs or something she's um pulled the head off of her cat and she say she took ice I don't know we just need somebody like to come get her even more disturbing her own cousin confirmed this on a live Facebook video adding that prior to this horrific act the woman had also eaten a spider off a wall I just was watching a live video of my cousin on Facebook and she's down uh at her house she killed a cat and his eating it I need Med uh police and um medical why do you need medical I don't know what she took what kind of drug she's on so you're EA so you're saying that she's at 1310 row Court yes Southeast can Ohio what's her name Alexis frell I'm sorry say that one more time Alexis phoh another 911 call came in escalating the urgency the caller explained that in addition to killing and eating the cat the woman had claimed she killed her own children both police and medical personnel were needed immediately left her house not too long ago and she said she just came downstairs out of nowhere was tweaking and she's like I don't know what she was on but she ate a spider off the wall and now she that cat outside what does she need a medic for she um she's um done pulled a head off a cat she done killed the cat yeah we have police on the way for that why you wouldn't send a medic why are we send a medic she was eating a cat oh oh we said we we send we send police for something like that that's more more of a more of a mental health issue and it's it's a it's a criminal issue too for animal cruelty Canton Police arrived at the scene just before midnight with the incident captured on body camera what did you do why' you kill the cat when officers approached the woman later identified as Alexis Ferrell put your hands behind your back they were met with a shocking sight blood covered she sat near the remains of the cat one officer clearly in disbelief questioned her directly what did you do why did you kill the cat by now a crowd had gathered adding to the tension frell was handcuffed while onlookers told police that she had also made disturbing threats about harming children the officers were cautious farell was covered in blood so they used rubber gloves to H handle the situation safely once she was restrained they prepared her for transport ensuring she wouldn't directly soil the squad car cuff her up please let's go as she was being led away she remained eerily calm with Ferell in custody officers returned to the scene to assess the damage and gather more information Witnesses confirmed the gruesome details they had seen her eating the cat the situation was grim and officers discussed next killed however it soon became clear that this was not the case frell's children were safe and living with a family member her mental state though was clearly in question amid the confusion officers confirmed that Ferell no longer had custody of her children and her previous statements about harming them were false during any questioning you have right to stop answering any questions once they nevertheless her crime was severe and the charges she would face included cruelty to companion animals the officers discussed the shocking nature of the case noting how uncommon it was for someone to the C trying to find her she told y that no she told these other people that hey din this Dayan where where is lexa's kids at yeah see okay cuz I just walked down here she was telling these people I mean she going to jail I guess but she was telling these people out here that she killed their kids that's the only reason why oh no she got her okay okay [Music] okay all right as frell was transported to the county jail her unsettling Behavior continued spoke to a desan he stated the female doesn't have possession of her kids uh we weit here with the cat she doesn't have possession of her kids anymore so yeah girl saying she said something about she killed two kids and ping out the toilet so is Humane Society coming out I don't know yet Judy said they would and they'll hold the cat as evidence she destroyed that cat this is I told him I don't like him anymore as long as I've have she had cat hair on her mouth as long as I've been a policeman I've never had a call where someone ensure she was Secure but comfortable the body camera footage ended shortly after frell's arrival at the jail but her story didn't she was formally charged with cruelty to animals disorderly conduct
