wasn't the GU different do you know there were zero kick returns for touchdowns all last preseason do you know there's only been one kick return for a touchdown in the last five preseason combined we had two of them this week let's get to the footage let's start touchdowns and that's all I'm looking for there hasn't been a single one in so long and we had two moments with the dynamic kickoff where we almost got him and at the very least it was an exciting play from the Special Teams I've told you the stats time and time again only 20% of kick returns okay were taken out last year okay from this K 50% is what they expect now as for kick returns for touchdowns it's a dead it's it's a dead art like we don't see it at all anymore Super Bowl there were 13 kick returns no one even took one out so when I get two that get taken back like that I get excited sorry for the false advertising to me that's worth a touchdown what the of the kick returner be Nam Parker Parker being named Parker I know opportunity to watch the guys who are battling it out who we know the big name guys right we know the preseason doesn't really count but for a lot of guys it really does count and for me ston Bennett was a guy that I absolutely love the story is I'm watching the game and I'm watching what looked like a disaster four interceptions in this game and for him to come back and turn around and throw the game-winning touchdown because of mental health issues and so he had his own Rudy story maybe Rocky baloa going up against Ivan Drago like he fought his way through after getting I mean you know getting put in a situation that didn't look so good uh so shout out to him and then another special shout out to a wide receiver I'm going to keep saying his name Jordan Winnington there's something going on with the Rams right we know that the Packers they know how to find quarterbacks the Rams know how to find wide receiver Cooper cup uh pukaa hukaa and now Jordan Whittington keep your eye on him now I will tell you uh Kyle you talking about don't sell your stock or sell your cryptocurrency with the kickoff don't sell your stock on this guy cuz this guy is the guy that I believe in uh for sure I think he's going to continue to make noise and by the way I did jump off I got burnt on cryptocurrency I don't want to get burnt by the kickoff I'm not I'm not all in yet on the dynamic uh moments I want to make sure I'm not saying JJ McCarthy I'm going Justin Jefferson because anytime you invest in a star like Justin Jefferson $140 million over the summer you want some Buy in from him you want him to care so the Vikings vikings.com had the game up they're like hey if you want to watch it's on locally on Channel 9 and Paul Allen's going to be and special treat it says special treat during the third quarter Justin Jefferson is going to be miked up and they think they're going to have some benign interview do we have the tape cuz I'm going to ask to roll it but instead we have Justin Jefferson delivering Charisma and engagement like we've never seen it before thrilled for Tristian Jackson on that touchdown pass but I have to imagine Peter and Kyle that that excitement was also a little bit aimed towards the fact that perhaps it was JJ McCarthy's throw that he was thrilled about I know he's pumped for his wide receiver teammate but I feel like there was some sublimal messaging of like JJ JJ JJ mcarthy let's go some of the stuff that that JJ McCarthy heard in the pre-draft process is that he can't throw left he can just hand the ball off and if he does make a mistake he doesn't really bounce back so quickly so he threw an interception earlier in the game bounced back took a couple hits threw the ball left and then threw that bomb of a touchdown uh the funny thing is like darnold's the starter and darnold is gonna play well also but like this is a perfect situation for JJ McCarthy I said it an hour ago like there's no pressure to roll them out there right now but guess what go have fun and enjoy that offense and Jamie it sounds like the Vikings fan and you really enjoyed that moment as well I got to say too there's a magic somehow that it anytime you get a star player in the mid of the in-game interview I feel like a play always happens like there's some sort of magic to it where I have seen that moment over and over and now they don't react as colorfully as as Justin Jefferson but inevitably if you get the requisite sideline interview there's always a big play it's never just a few questions than hand the mic off so if you're having a little trouble in this preseason turn out the star player to talk to the local crew there'll be big plays coming out your ears man I would say I felt the same way about this with uh Justin Jefferson just watching him there's nothing more rewarding than to see a player who is like genuinely happy for his other teammates to go out there and ball this is the star wide receiver like this is the dude right and he's sitting here he could have been cool with his diamond necklace but instead he was out there really cheering him on like what you saw there is exactly who Justin Jefferson is I look I had the opportunity to hang out with him for his birthday and I just thought this dude loves to laugh like he's just a laughing dude going on just cheering everybody on I'm like yo this is the same
