hi I'm Curtis McGrath par canoe athlete from Australia in a qualification year it's it's a fairly busy one um there's lots of competitions there's extra athletes there's extra sort of pressure um but obviously we're all trying to and buying for those spots those quota spots as well as the knowledge that we're not actually qualifying ourselves so we're all out there for the country all out there for our nation all in all it's it's it's a great feeling to be pushed by the best for myself in a qualification year it's generally sort of similar to The Years Around uh away from the qualification year but here at World Cup 1 um we're not trying to peek too early we're trying to peek at the qualification event so still building on our work and working towards the actual event itself Paris is going to mean a lot to a lot of people but for myself I reckon it's going to be amazing because I've been to two par Olympic Games I think there's a more of a leadership opportunity for myself um Within Squad and the The Wider Australian par Olympic team so I'm enjoying that opportunity but at the same time you I still want to be the best athlete I can be and now hopefully I can do it in front of my friends and family
