14-year-old suspect is expected to appear in court tomorrow charged as an adult on four felony murder counts police say he used an assault style rifle during the shooting that unfolded in the hallway outside of the algebra classroom the team was interviewed by police last year after users of a social media site called Discord say he posted a school shooting threat in May of 2023 the FBI alerted the Jackson County Sheriff's Office about that shooting threat against a middle school investigators then interviewed the student and his father at their home Colt gray who was 13 at the time denied making the threat and law enforcement could not substantiate that he was the one behind it also during the investigation the father said the son did not have unsupervised access to hunting rifles in the house his family later moved to Wier police have identified the victims of the shooting right now officials say there's no obvious connection between gray and the victims the eight students and one teacher who were wounded in the shooting remain hospitalized but are all expected to recover
