I guess I guess uh just just you know you're you're with Buddy Kennedy from the uh the High Valley Iron Pigs well traveled now I guess in the seven years you've been seven years now you've been um professional baseball player can you talk a little bit about um you know just the journey I mean it's been a journey right it has been you're not wrong uh yeah you know obviously getting drafted of high school with dime backs um and then obviously started my professional career uh went up the system obviously and then made my debut in 2022 with the Diamondbacks um after that been outrighted up again down again and I've been bouncing around um but you know that's part of the journey and that's that's the business side of baseball and you know you just put your seat belt on and let it see where it takes you you ever have second thoughts about North Carolina going there or anything no not at all absolutely not nope I yeah CU I wanted my grandfather always told me and getting the system as early as you can the younger the better you are so that's always like kind of always been thing now I'm 25 you know I've had some experience up in the big league level um but I'm still young still and yeah and do that Tak any the pressure off that you've been there like you you knoww that you had to pass through that threshold done it exactly exactly H runs there yes I think I think just like obviously whenever anybody goes up to the big leagues you're nervous right your dream comes true and there's a lot of different your head's spinning you know thousand different ways um but for me the obviously the first time was special um that I went up the second time with the Dbacks and it was more calm more just like okay you've been in this Arena before you know I had to take your time and and understand it and then when I went up to with Detroit it's kind of just like okay you're here and I'll just try to do your best job as you can and I tried you I did my best and uh but yeah you know it's it's fun I saw you at bat against billies in the I did I faced uh you out to end the game yes yeah so I was watching and I said that's buddy keny I him high school and then that's he is now I know now look at it three months later and now I'm part of the Phillies organization so that cool is that have the Phillies T it's got to be a lot of fun to be back absolutely absolutely your your grandpa played here and you know you taught about being a Philly yeah I mean I mean I grew up obviously in milville I've been a huge Philadelphia fan and my entire life obviously you know watching the o08 Phillies play Ryan Howard Chase Utley Jason worth that that team they had and you know I've always been a Die Hard through and through and I've seen the up years that the Phillies have had when I was younger the the the down years and you know now obviously they're great one of the best teams in baseball right now and you know just uh it's fun to watch for me my family it's super fun because they get to come to these games now and yeah you know watch me live the dream that I've always been dreaming about and you know it's now my obviously my grandfather came last week and really yeah two weeks ago actually and so he loves to come back in to the baseball park CU he was a manager he's done it he's played it 15 years you trying to swing for the fences when he's here oh no he he put his leg up and just sit back and relax but I mean you would you be like swinging for the fence like an impress no I just he just to make him happy if I hadit a line drive up the middle that's all he wants and anything else other than that he takes it organization told you what they want from you to in order to make that help them with right now with that infield it's a depth situation you probably look at right yeah I mean obviously you know the depit situation right you got uh stot at second uh B at third obviously they're you know they're the they they're the guys but you know how I look at they didn't tell me anything particularly but you know if I just I talked to Sam fuel the assistant GM obviously when I got traded over here um you know he just said just keep playing hard you never know what can happen and yeah you never I mean this game can f got that that's what I'm saying just feel he he's forever in that exactly that playoff run I mean he got a big chance he never probably dreamed that no no exactly and it's just literally it's just matter of time and you being available for when they need somebody so that's all I'm trying to do just be here do what I need to do here and you know just have fun and see what happens some of the things that you need to do you've overcome been of professional Bay play play seven years you're not long like some of the players you just mentioned absolutely how do you overcome that and what keeps you going yeah I think just the just the drive I think for me obviously getting to the big leagues yeah it's great like everybody wants to stay right so I've always my father and my grandfather has always told me that you know if if you want your dream and you want to capture something you know it's not going to come easy to you you always have to work so whenever you even when I'm at my best or at my worst I always work as hard as I can because I know one day you just snapped away and never have it again so that's how I always look at it just give it all as much to your minor league numbers and I saw that you had errors when your first came up probably you look at that cringe you know but but it really tapered off yeah you know the last you know few years exactly how what was the mental process you went through that's mental you already have you know you have exactly exactly I me and my grandfather actually talked uh honestly from when I got drafted and in each year like you mentioned I was like we would talk about it at the at the end of the year what was my errors were they throwing were they Fielding we would dissect them and learn from them so sometimes a bad first basement hurt yeah and anything exact exactly and some plays some plays just happen where it's the right play maybe it just doesn't work out and obviously I get there ER and it's like is what is but no but overall like my grandfather we have developed a routine um in the offseason I bought a pitching machine we do some hand stuff some hand drills really and yeah we do it probably like hour and a hour hour and a half three three days a week and he just gets me right he gets me better focus on my hands relax and then for throwing at when I was younger there was a point where like my feet wer on the ground I would throw with one foot my I was unbalanced and so we looked at that and now everything so far you know has come together just trying to be as as smooth and relaxed as possible at any position I play and just you know make the routine play as best I can and then if the opportunity is there to make a nice play just make it and move on to the next still stay in touch with uh Mike Trout oh yeah my guy he's good he's good he's good he's got to be he's got to be frustrated the last few years I T talk I talked to him and he's obviously you know he's been hurt the fifth year now yeah right and obviously the the Persona people are giving him oh he can't stay on the field yeah yeah I understand it and he's frustrated as anybody because it's happening to him and he wants to be back to the face of baseball like he was before and I talk to him and right we stay positive you know what I mean he's just he's ising to get back and he's just making sure everything goes well with the knee um and he said he'll he said I talked to him other day said he'll be back by the end of July if everything goes smoothly so hopefully he gets back in there we can see Mike Trout do might trout things again all right so uh listen I appreciate your time no absolutely thank and uh I'll be watching the game tonight I'm sure uh we'll see what happens absolutely thank you
