the ready formation because this is my very first Angry Run so I'm I'm excited about this one he is ready for it and Kyle decided to stay in New York for a lot of reasons but one of which is that he is actually in a padded room now to do Angry runs we were concerned for the wellbeing of the segment and now the rooms are the walls are bouncy for him but let's get to the Highlight first from Monday Night Football Kyle let's go to Santa Clara California that's where the Jets travel to play week one Monday night football here in it is there he is headphones not wireless I respect it oldfashioned like him and in an active fantasy football nuclear crisis Christian mcaffry was declared out 90 minutes before it's better throw it was that type of game and or was it another third and long third and seven remember before this season Rogers only completed a pass to one first round pick was Mercedes Lewis that's over Rogers is feeling it BR Hall gets in touchdown J yes yes yes yes what's up Rob Salah all right maybe we're going to have a night McCaffrey's out they're package that we're just showing here never mind mcaffrey Rogers Garrett Wilson Quinn and witch down the ners decided to start pushing them around look at mcaffry going face to face with his third Stringer now Theus flanging fouls I'm sure that was fun not a great game in the second half the Jets were good early and then the ners just leaned on them 32-19 Rogers Rogers Rogers Rogers Rogers let's talk about Brock Purry take it away Brock we've been through a lot as a team you know just with signing guys trying to get guys back Ricky situation and and um Christian and and yeah there's there's a lot that goes on it's the NFL you know some crazy stuff can go on but just uh our culture our team uh what we stand for and and how we all come together and find find ways to win and rally around each other um we do it right here and um that's something that I stand on and firmly believe in and we all do so um you know I'm very proud of the guys to be able to you know fight through just all the adversity and stuff that we've been been going through in the last however many months but um we're just going to keep no better way to fix mistakes than put game on tape the Jets have three games in 10 days it was nice to see Rogers stand up there and answer to some of those questions last night maybe you felt like you didn't see Rogers a lot last night well that's because the Jets only possessed the ball for 21 minutes Peter compared to the 49ers 38 minutes and a lot of that had to do with running the ball yeah look you look at all the stars in this game and even in the pregame with that California Sunset like just perfect look and there's Rogers there's Garrett Wilson there's of course sa on one side then the other end you've got all these 49ers stars and then it was the Jordan Mason game and how fitting it's the Jordan Mason game this is Kyle Shanahan and Mike Shanahan to it unbelievable game with a career high 147 yards 28 carries just pounding but this is what the shanahans do the shanahans say here is our run scheme and we will find the guys to go through it now K Christian mcaffrey is the perfect match because he's the ultimate running back and he was the perfect fit for it but long before there was Christian mcaffrey there were a lot of guys who you probably didn't know coming out of college let's go roll through some tape here how about Elijah Mitchell in 2021 Elijah Mitchell a sixth round pick ran for nearly a th000 yards you go back to 2019 Raheem moard was an unknown player out of Purdue moer goes for 772 rushing yards and absolutely dominates an NFC Championship game where I think he's still scoring touchdowns against Packers and Aaron Rogers and Matt laf flor's defense it goes back even further than that how about Matt breida remember Matt breida cheetah Matt breida the cheetah before Tyreek kill was the cheetah it was breida and breida was the one who came out of the back field and was running the ball it was all these guys in the 49ers but then I go to Dad I go to Mike Shanahan and if we have the footage I'd love to show you some Mike Anderson footage 2000 offensive Rookie of the Year Mike Anderson out of Utah ran for500 yard o Landis Gary ran for 1,200 yards and then in 2012 they get back together it's Mike and guys Alfred Morris no's go who no one drafted in fantasy that Year in 2012 ran for, 1600 yards 1600 yards and 13 touchdowns my point is this Jordan Mason had an amazing night but he is in a long long line of Shanahan running backs where it's like hey there's injuries Terrell Davis is down we're not going to have this player you got to go and they find a way it's the Run scheme it's the fit and it's the preparation Jordan Mason welcome to the club you were the star of a game filled with Stars last night yes yes yes Kyle you are so right and that's how they dominated this game they dominate obviously the 49ers the time of possessions but you know one of the things that stood out to me in this game was just the ultimate control when the 49ers weren't even really at their best after the first punt they scored on every single series that they were in and it was not dog defense like oh man be concerned about this defense and they scored there were nine drives that they had here or nine series that they had and on those series they were able to score they had 10 but they scored on these nine I that's it and you start thinking about the fact that Brandon auk he didn't practice all that much right Trent Williams he didn't practice all that much so this is scary to me because I'm like wait what happens by week three week four when everybody's on the same page and they're jelling and they've got the repetition together this is going to be very scary and then oh by the way we look at Jordan Mason and Jordan Mason looked like he's been there the whole time like he's been there for five years running at this level he wanted this opportunity he seized the opportunity when they didn't have their star player in Christian mcaffrey I'm just Allin on the 49ers yeah you should be all in on 49ers and I my attention to the trenches you start talking about time of possession right 38 minutes to 21 minutes you start talking about giving up 147 yards on the ground and then you start talking about the fact that you only ran the ball for 68 yards offensively this all comes back to paying attention to the trenches these are two franchises that Pride themselves on having solid offensive lines solid defensive lines and who won the matchup the 49ers the physicality was there for the 49ers listen if for the sadistic Jets fans who believe their entire life and existence is about being excited about something then having it taken from them that was a little microcosm last night because it started out pretty cool that drive that touchdown drive that Rogers led the Garrett Wilson all that drive was longer than any Drive they had all of last season all all of last season with all that mess they had so you're like we got this we're going it's a beautiful night Rogers is going to do it he's going to be MVP and then the ners just started pushing them and punching them and that was it and they didn't like it and I mean literally Fred Warner punched the ball out and took the lunch money of Bree Hall and it was like I think we even did a segment about Kyle Shanahan's hair in this summer in the end of it it's Fred and it's Trent and it's use Che and it's KD and it's just pushing you and pushing you until you're like I hate this I don't want to be here anymore I think if you're Jets fans you're like okay we didn't win that's fine it's a tough week one it's a little disappointing the nature of it the fact that we did give up eight straight scoring drives something that the Jets have not done in 45 years and we have a defensive head coach Robert salah's quote about the defense we'll get that bleep fixed and it was not a bleep he said the full-on thing so listen I'm the week one guy their schedule's real soft coming up Rogers looks slick in a few spots but you did just get your head punched in by the Niners physically the Jets defense is the story Rogers was fine he'll be okay the Jets defense G at 32 points and almost no Mossing at the end of the game is the story here I can't I can't Echo Kyle's anymore and this is what's so disturbing about it the Jets all we heard about all off seon was that hey they've beefed up the offensive line but their defense is loaded and their defense loaded this defense can do it done they and I was I have the Jets going number one in the AFC I got egg on my face this morning it's fine 49ers didn't have their best player 49ers didn't have mcaffrey and then I you but doesn't matter because I don't know where Germaine Johnson was in this game I don't know where all those defensive linemen that we raved about was and I'll tell you the one guy who wasn't there who might have a little leverage right now is H re who is who all summer was like Hey out of sight out of mind we're loaded on defensive line the defensive line just got dominated by that offensive line and Jordan Mason looked like he was Earl Campbell last night so maybe Hassan re does have a case sometimes the most dangerous team you play too is the one that is playing loose and free and Giddy and if you watch the whole broadcast on Monday Night Football last night you always see Scott Van Pelt then pick it up after the game and he does the highlights and he often times interview a star well instead of doing the highlight and then interviewing a star George KD giddy is a puppy dog comes on the set and just does the Highlight with Scott Van Pelt he's on there giving critiques giving analysis the 49ers for as stressed or worried that we were about the off season and contract disputes whatever they were they played so free last night and to me it was no more represented than by K jumping on that stage last night and talking about his teammates and the guys the way that they love him conversely Peter just checking in you kind of just mentioned it I wasn't going to bring up the proverbial egg on your face that you just referenced but I always like when you put no uh just a representation of the Jets fan and just watching it last night and the emotional range and the scale that they must have gone through there was one drive where Roger scores and it's Wilson on third down Wilson on third down Bree Hall looks amazing and it's like oh my gosh this is this is nirvana this is heaven this is we've done it uh that was it the Jets fans are in misery this morning that was fun was at one drive so we'll see they got it's week one I know but last night was a a hellish Day to all day buildup you watch every team all week long and then you get that egg dropped and it's like I understand if Jets fans are miserable this morning I get it I feel like sometimes Peter and KY are like the Angel and the devil over our shoulders here in the studio like and I'm going to talk about this and I'm going to do that week one it's officially in the
