WTP Sports Dudes talk Miami Hurricane's football schedule preview with Justin Giger.

quick hold on okay good okay I brought this for you today okay okay all right sports fans this is Robert with wtp sports dudes I got my man Justin on from The KES so you know it cool cool so today we're going to talk about uh the Miami hurricanes preview and what we're going to do is we're going to talk about the games and then we're going to predict whether or not we think they're going to win the game or not so Justin you ready I'm always ready buddy all right cool cool so how was your work week this week it's phenomenal man working and grinding and uh I'm blessed yours so far so so good I've been having a lot of training this week and then uh the students will come next next Wednesday on the 5th so uh I mean the Thursday the 5th so you know I'm just waiting on my students to come since I do prek they don't start with everybody else oh okay that's you're doing the Lord's work my friend I'm I'm trying to I'm trying to get in heav all right so our first game is a big one in the swamp against the Florida Gators what's your thoughts on that game Justin well you know we got two bitter rivalries one of them being Florida State and want to be in Florida I I saw something on TV or some kind of news broadcast about a week so ago that Florida has won 33 home games in a row this is going to be game that I think that we're going to take and we're going to take in pretty big fashion I say that with Cam Ward coming from Washington State and Damen Martinez coming from Oregon State and uh Sam Brown coming from Houston and some of our defensive players like Ruben Bane and some others this is going to be a Beatdown I say we win by at least three touchdowns listen that's a that's a pretty good prediction and that's a bold prediction too because it is in the swamp and we know what their record is like there but I think that you you might be spot on I'm quite sure they're gonna beat him by two touchdowns for sure because I think that Miami has all the weapons they need in the solid defense because they've done a lot of good recruiting and they' done good in the portal so hopefully you know your prediction comes true and they get them by three scores and uh they pull out that victory in the swamp their next game is at yeah I think oh go ahead no I was gonna say I said that's just the first game is going to be the blueprint for the season we have a great game against Florida the rest of the season's going to be is going to be a really good one to watch I I I tend to agree with you on that their next game is at uh is at home against Florida A&M what's your thoughts on that game you know I'm always pushing for the HBCU I got a lot couple buddies that are from that went to Florida A&M so I'm always when they're not playing us I always root for him a little bit but this is gonna be Beatdown City it's probably gonna be five or six touchdowns we're going to try to blow him out first home game of the season in Miami it's it it's not going to be a close one so that that should be a big win yeah I could definitely see that too and then we get Ball State also at home what's your thoughts on Ball State I haven't heard much about Ball State I would I would bet uh that this would be very similar game to the Florida A&M game I would think that even the Florida A&M game may be a little more competitive than the ball State game I would say this would be a game that a lot of the um players that aren't going to get a lot of play when we the bigger games are going to get in so you're going to see a lot of freshman playing these games I still say it's going to be a big win by at least 21 points or more yeah y'all can definitely see that as well now we gotta go on the road to South Florida what's your thoughts on that game I think this will be a tougher game South Florida's got a lot to prove um I think the biggest thing about this schedule in general is that we only leave Florida four times times the entire season uh you know South Florida's one of those teams even though it's not in South Florida we we always you know battle with them um I think it'll be a little closer but I'd say about 17 points at least two touchdowns that we beat South Florida by I think they're in reload uh situations right now I got a buddy who's a big South Florida fan he says they're trying to get back to where they were uh a couple years ago yeah yeah a couple years ago they were really really really good and exciting to watch too they were really really exciting to watch all right now this might be a big game because a lot of people are sleeping on this team but those people who really watch football think this team is gonna be pretty good at home against Virginia Tech what's your thoughts on that yeah there there's two games this season outside of Florida that I kind of worry about and Virginia Tech's one of them I am thankful um that it's at home if would have been at Virginia Tech would I think that would have been one of those games where you could possibly look at a loss you know they got a good quarterback in drones um who I like a lot actually who worked out worked out with Cam Ward and also shadur Sanders out of Colorado this off season um and he's going to be a really good player so I think it's going to be a tough game but I do see us winning that by a touchdown maybe even less uh but I do think it with it being at home and it going to I think it's a night game um I think that's going to lead to our Direction get that little home field advantage so at this point in the season I'm seeing us being at about five and0 but that's going to be a really tough game yeah that's that's some good analysis on that game I think it's gonna be a really good game as well and I do believe that uh Miami is gonna pull it out in that fourth quarter by score to uh to go ahead and close out Virginia the next one right y got one of those teams from the Pack 12 that jumped over into the ACC at Cal what's your thoughts on that one well to be honest with you I don't know cow's not the cow it used to be um they're not I I would think this is a rebuilding year for them getting on the big stage of the big of ACC now and playing with us uh playing in our in our uh division now um I think they're going to try to throw the ball a lot I think with our defensive backs and our defense being titled as one of the better defenses in the in NCA this year um I think that we're going to beat them pretty easily I would say over 14 points the only thing that'll keep it us from you know making it a big blowout game is because it's at cow yeah I can I can see that too um Cal has been down the last couple of years but I know that they got some Talent on that team and they'll probably put up a good fight but I also got Miami uh winning that game so now we come up against a by week which is a perfect time after six games halfway through the season it's always good to get that break so y'all get that by and week seven but then you travel to Louisville what's your thoughts on that one can you hear me yeah um hopefully you can hear me because it was breaking up a little bit but um yeah I can hear you can you hear me okay yes I can hear you okay can you hear me okay yes I can hear you okay uh this is a game I okay this is a game I'm actually going to um so with it being at Louisville and semi close to where we're at um I'm going to the game and I'm really worried about this game uh this is probably the game that I Circle the most before the season even started uh even before Florida uh Louisville spent a lot of money in nil this year as did as did we um they're going to be good they got a good coach with Braum they got the home the hometown guy in Braum I think Louisville is gonna give us a really good game I think this this would could be one of those games that we lose by a touchdown or less um but if this would be the game if we win this game I see I I see us going undefeated if we don't win this game this will be our one loss for the season in my eyes I think at Louisville they haven't said the time of the game yet but I I think it's going to probably be a night game um so and and I've been to a Louisville Miami game before and it gets it gets going there so it's that's going to be a game a a really good game yeah I was wondering if you were going to travel that three hours to Louisville cuz I'm like man my team was playing that close I'm I'm in my car we gone I'm going to that game so I'm there I'm there on I'm there on I'm on I'm on the field and I'm there I I I would too if I was a Miami fan and they was playing l so now the contest of all contest at home against Florida State what's your thoughts on that one I'm just going to bring this for you Robert today is the day to tell you that that Florida State game it's not going to mean anything this year my friend that's gonna be blowout Central uh the the biggest thing is it's at home um it Tallahassee I would have it being a little closer if you watch the Georgia untalented or anything like that I just think they don't have the talent that they had in years past um it's gonna be a rough one for them seminal I think that chop is done hey I can to agree with you especially what they did on Saturday man losing the Georgia Tech I can definitely see y'all handing it to him in Miami for sure now this game is a game I didn't want I didn't want now go ahead no I was gonna say I I don't ever want Florida State to lose before us I want them to be undefeated before they play us um because I want to beat them um so this is you know when they're playing bad like this you don't ever want that to be a rivalry game when the other team isn't good so um I'm hoping that they get better throughout the season I just don't see it but yeah yeah I don't see it either I don't think dju is any good so I don't think I don't think they're going to be any good this year behind him this next game is a game that I'm really interested in because the Texas transfer quarterback Malik Murphy transferred to Duke so I'm anxious to see what he's going to be able to do against a high caliber team like Miami what's your thoughts on Duke at home in Miami like you said I think they're going to be a lot they're going to be better offensively they do got a stud at at quarterback they're going to try to throw the ball a ton um again it's going to be our offense versus theirs in this game would be my would be the way it's going to be played upon I think they're going to be a lot better they've given us problems in the past they beat us a couple years where I feel like we should have beat them um again they are going to be better but I just our defensive line I think number number two in the nation maybe three I think I heard um with Ruben Bane as the leader of that defense you know defensive line I don't think he's going to have a ton of time to throw the ball um so I say it's going to be a high-scoring game I just feel we move we uh we win by at least two touchdowns yeah I can definitely see that too I can definitely see that too now the spoiler for Florida State yall go to Georgia Tech what's your thoughts on that Georgia Tech game I mean they play with a lot of heart they bullied Florida state that game if you watched the game they they bullied Florida State um I I I think that offense that they run you know they run the wing T type you know different they they they play a different game than a lot of the other teams play and they do play hard um I think at this point in time if we're an undefeated team they're going to play even better than they played against Florida State and probably any other team because they're going to try to beat us um again with it being in Atlanta that's close to Miami you know home field advantage is going to be there but we're going to have some people there too some fans there too so I do think this will be a closer game like a touchdown game maybe 10 points but I feel we could beat Georgia Tech as well yeah I got y'all beating uh Georgia Tech as well by at least 10 myself so I could definitely see that then y'all get your second buy of the season right after that Georgia Tech game which is really cool because now you know you only got two games left you can get some guys healthy that may be a little banged up at that point but then you got wake Force at home what's your thoughts on Wake fors um I know they got some transfers this year uh in years past Wake Forest has done good at getting some offensive power they've always had really good running backs always had a couple good wide outs uh again they're just going to struggle stopping us I just think we have a much better offense now uh especially with rreo on one end uh Brown on the other um you got a Royo who's a tight end who's going to be unbelievable this year along with a running back we got three good really good running backs of Martinez Fletcher and also Chris Johnson um I I just don't see think that they can stop us so I feel like this is going to be a bigger game 14 to 21 Point win for us at Wake Forest at home yeah I I agree with you on that I think that y'all just have way too much talent for Wake forward and that Talent is going to show in that game and it gonna probably blow wake Force out the waters on that game in that game so y'all finish the season and wrap up the season at Syracuse what's your thoughts on that one I mean I've been a Miami fan my entire life I would like to tell you that we're going to go undefeated I I would like to tell you being at New York at the end of the season and being you know an undefeated team this is going to be an easy game we're going to get through it it's not going to be a problem we are a lot better than Syracuse but I feel like this is somewhat of a trap game at the end of the season Syracuse is going to be trying to fight for their lives or maybe trying to get into a bowl would be my guess uh you know we W to you know we want to beat him uh pretty bad and hopefully healthwise we can but if not I think this is going to be a really close game I would say seven points or so because it's the end of the season everybody's fighting for it yeah let me ask you this since that's the last game of the season if Miami is let's say 11-0 10- one do you think they will set some of them prominent players if they already got a bid into the uh ACC Championship and possibly a bid to get into theuh 12 team playoff do you think they will sit some of their main players in that game I mean it matters what's at stake I mean it matters what they could be rated in that 12 team who could they go against if they're rated lower with a one loss I think they're everybody's going to try to win every game this year because they're going to want to have better opportunities in that 12 team playoff you know you don't want to go against even though I don't like like Ohio State but you don't want to go against Ohio State and the first or second round with the kind of team that they have right now so my thought is unless you're looking at some lingering injuries I'm thinking everybody's gonna play yeah I could definitely see that too because people are all going to be fighting for certain positions so so I don't know what you think about that but that's what I think yeah I I I contend to agree with you I threw that out there in a previous uh video thinking that maybe teams would do that but when you start to think about it teams want to get in those top four positions so that they can get a buy first off and then uh get a better position to play somebody maybe further up in the ranking so they can get another win in that first round so I tend to agree with you they want to fight for that position yeah agreed yeah I think it's gonna be tough to take a loss this year because there's going to be much more teams in the playoffs you'll probably get some teams that in years past may not had a chance because they're having those extra teams so I think everybody's going to try to win every game so I don't think there's going to be a ton of sitting this year which I think is a good thing for college Bas or college football for sure yeah I I agree I think it's good for college uh football as well so Justin we ran through the preview for the Miami Hurricanes if you got any other thoughts you want to share you can do that at this time but if not we'll go ahead and close out the broadcast all right well first off he go you this is the season I say it every single year so hopefully this year is the year um you know Miami is a got a lot of tradition obviously it's been since 2002 since we've been relevant I feel like this year is the year um I'm excited for it Saturday is the start I really
