it seems like we're seeing a play like that every single night how did you just make that play I had a couple chances this game shoot I staying with it uh ready for that ball every play but U I don't know I thought right to talk right there it made me feel like talk you also had another one from Otani you and Bellinger were laughing after that one what was going through your mind and how did you get to that ball as well I I I didn't make the most aggressive play on that ball and I think as a center fit is my job to to take over when I can and also give way when that's uh that's called for but um it's a positioning thing that that I got to uh get a little bit better with uh in terms of Cody at least on on a guy like that who you know we're playing a pretty far in the left Center Gap and there's a lot of space between Cody and I and I just got to do a better job of managing that space as a guy who loves playing defense what's it like for you to make plays like that I mean that's what I live for that that gives me joy and um I mean to do it in spots like that that's that's what you go to sleep uh dreaming about and um yeah I mean for Porter you know coming back after whatever delay just happened uh making a pitch letting us make a play that's that's all we can ask for the 5-year-old P cor Armstrong who was getting a ball from noar Garcia para what would he think about a p cor Armstrong at 22 making a play like that ah um I don't know he'd probably think it's pretty cool but uh we got one more here and then off to Denver so quickly back to Porter I remember when he walked in the Major League Clubhouse for the first time and you looked directly at me and you said that guy is going to be a dude what did you see from him the first time you saw him pitch and how is that translated onto a Major League field uh you know I I think what I admire most about you know Porter's progression this year is is the the the man he stands up on the mes and um a lot of poise but he's a warrior and a and a major competitor and you know we we love playing defense behind Porter good stuff feet Bo
