5 Things We Learned From Brighton 2-3 Man Utd | Penalties and Drama

Intro hello and welcome back to alice talks football and brighton to manchester united three get in we played pretty shy but we won and that's all that matters and all i can say is what a bloody dramatic game that was i mean brighton could have had two penalties to be honest none of them were penalties i don't think brighton's penalty they got for the opening goal was a penalty but we won with a penalty neil mopay coming doing the crying emoji who's crying now moped you've given away the penalty bruno fernandez has scored and all that talk about hernandez well not many players can kill off a penalty in the last kick of the game bruno finally scores in the last kick of the game when pressure's on for a free-to-win to manchester united and it's one of the most dramatic games of football i've generally ever seen i mean that brighton hit the post what five times or like they hit the woodwork like five times you know penalties galores var checks and the last kick of the game for manchester united the winner i thought brighton won it with the last click of the game he blows the full whistle and then bruno fernandez with a penalty classic manchester united bruno penalty win 3-2 and today's video is five things we learned from manchester united three brighton two and i have to say performance wise we didn't play that well brighton deserves something but we got the three point out is Moving the ball quickly we are not moving the ball quick enough we are too slow on the ball pogba kept giving it away he was so slow on the ball you know we play out from the back but we're yet so slow on the ball i thought luke shaw was quite good on the ball but matic looked good on the ball obviously bruno is always good on the ball and i thought green would look quite good on the ball but i thought the other players they were bringing it out too slow i've got to say the moments that we actually did move the ball quickly with the two offside goals and the first 10 minutes of the second half we look really good we look really on top something came a bit for the very few moments that we started moving the ball quickly you know right at the start of the second half we looked a threat on the attack something came of it and i think with manchester united we are slowing the game down pogba was slowing the game down trying to take too many touches i thought lindelof maguire were poor today and i'm going to get into that but we but when we moved the ball quickly and for me matic my man of the match maybe even de gea de gea was brilliant but matic actually was moving the ball the quickest that matic is probably our service player but when we started to move the ball quickly we ended up stringing some passes together some one touch passes and that's when end product came even though we scored two goals that were offside m product came of it the second thing i want to talk about is paul Paul Pogba pogba now paul pogba was not on it today it was one of his poorest performances in the manchester united shirt and i really think we should put van der beek on at half time i was really surprised when he kept paul pogba one at half time and i like ollie and i want him to succeed but i think he always plays it safe ollie is one of those managers that is scared to make subs we've noticed that a lot and i think vanderbilt deserved to come on at halftime for paul pogba because cool pogba he's a great player on his day but he does not look fit he does not look sharp the first minute of this the second half paul pogba gives away a penalty obviously it wasn't a penalty and it wasn't given but like that could have very much been given whereas if you played van der beek you know that that that situation doesn't happen i do think i want to criticize paul pogba today i thought he was poor i thought he was not on it it was not one of his best performances you know he's not fit he's not ready to play we need to give him we need to wait for him to get to full fitness and i think ollie should have played van der beek and i'm going to criticize olly's decision making today because i think he should have got vanderbilt on for pogba much quicker i'm happy fred had a run out i'm happy he put fred on for pogba but i still think vanderbilt deserved a chance and if you if you think that vanderbilt should have come on at half time for paul pogba please hit that like button my third Nemanja Matic point i'm going to talk about nemanja matics now emanuel matic was my first half man of the match i'm going to give him my man of the match i thought de gea was good and i thought what bruno did in the last kick of the game was brilliant but nemanja matic was really important for us today because you know our defense is shocking you know but matic and we couldn't play out from the back but whenever matic got on the ball he was running up players dribbling up has he was moving the ball quickly and i think matic had an impressive performance today i think he slipped off a little bit in the second half but i'd say matic was my man of the match i think he was probably our our best player in the first half in the second half probably dahlia was our best player in the second half but um now i thought matic was really good to see i think mattis was key and i think that shows how key the cdn position is for manchester united we only have one cdm in matic i think fred does a good job in that position but i think we really know that manchester united we need a lot of centre-back which i'll talk about later on in this video we do need a cdm because mattis is aging with some energy we do really need it in dd to get the ball moving out quicker and to shield the defense and we also need another attacker we can bring off the bench i looked at the bench today and i went oh vanderbilt's good but who would you take off for our front three you take off premade for lingard massive drop off in quality but i have to say pogba was poor to complete my first three points we were moving the ball too slowly but matic is probably my first half man of the match the fourth thing i Luke Shaw want to point out is luke shaw's a key runner now luke shaw i think had a decent game he was making all the right runs he was getting into all the right positions the um free kick that bruno fernandez whipped in that came off match known as a lewis dunk own goal that was won by luke shaw running and driving at players you know people were saying well luke shaw's against tara atlanti it's going to be a difficult game for him but tatlante didn't really cause luke shaw that many problems he caused maguire more problems i thought luke shaw's runs and what he does off the ball is so key i thought rashford first half was poor but second half rashford really grew into the game that rashford goal was dirty like the way the game just turned around it went from normal play scoring the panic a penalty and doing the cry baby at us and then all of a sudden we equalize and then we score again then brighton try and get another penalty then vr all out and nil nope with the hand of god after crying and panicking asked for a penalty he's just given away a penalty in the last kick of the game after brighton fought they got a point out of it it was such a dramatic game but i thought luke shaw again was a very key player because he won so many free kicks driving up that left-hand side he's actually quicker than you think luke shaw and i thought rashford grew into the game in the second half and i think luke shaw was part of the reason that you know rashford kind of grew into the game the fifth and final thing Defense i want to talk about is defense is not good enough now i thought lindelof looked good for the first 10 minutes you know he made it crucial interception he was a crucial block but lindelof again too many sloppy passes taking too long on the ball lindelof and mcguire they do not work the defense almost let us down if it wasn't for neil mopey being a in the brighton box and us getting the penalty we would have dropped points because our defense let us down and in the last few games the reason we have dropped points is because our defense has let us down and i say this time and time again our defense is not good enough we need a center back the main error of our defense is not our fallbacks it's our two centre-backs maguire was giving them too much time on the ball there was a time where i think mopey was running at mcguire and he was just like run up move run at me like close him down lindelof did not close down trossall enough the reason trossot had so many shots outside the box is because lindelof and mcguire did not close them down quick enough and one of the reasons behind that is because they're too slow like if a player runs at them and gets past them they're screwed because they're outpaced i think linda love and maguire you pair them with a good pacey centre-back and they can look good you know any any of liverpool's defenders look good against van dyke but if you put the liverpool defenders against maguire they ain't going to look as good realistically are they conclude my point man united's defense almost slots down today and our defense is not good enough we need another centre-back we need jaina sanchez and i think we need a cdm i like matic i thought mattis was great today but he can't he doesn't have it in his legs to do a week in week out although i think fred would be a good cdm but as my five things we learnt versus brighter manchester united three brighton two getting i'm just really happy we won i'm not happy with the performance hence most the points in this video being negative but i have to say the game just had you up and down i mean trossard could have scored four goals they were much better than us they thought they'd nicked a point in the last minute then mopay just just what a mug but bruno fernandez you call him hernandez but not many players as i said can score a penalty in the last minute of a game like that but anyway that's my five things we learned to wrap up the game i think to conclude defense not good enough ollie needs to make subs quicker we definitely need new signings but i'm going to say david de gea looked good luke sure looked good matic looked good and rashford's goal was filthy anyway thank you for
