Wyoming vs. Arizona State Predictions & Bets Week 1 NCAA College Football 8/31/24| Hitting The Books

all right Wyoming Arizona State Little Mountain West Pack uh I keep saying Pack 12 but Arizona state is uh yeah Big 12 now Arizona State 6 and a half Point home favorites 48 and a half the total in this game it's going to look weird Ste ma see a Wyoming Cowboys football game and no Craig Bull on the sideline been a long time he was there did obviously a really good job uh Jay saell uh the defensive coordinator at Wyoming slides over to become the new head coach uh I don't think it's I think it's actually as far as continuity I don't think that the things are going to change all that much uh so that's good although the one thing they did say is they do want to be a little bit more aggressive explosive a little bit offensively you know let's see before we just assume that because this is a team that's been you know run the football slow pace play good defense type of team they really like their new quarterback Evans fabot who's going to get the start here this year for Wyoming they do like the potential the upside that he brings to the table uh they've said nothing but good things collectively across the board uh the coaching staff about what Evans faota could be at the quarterback spot here for the Wyoming Cowboys uh they've got Harrison Wy returning at running back pretty solid running back um that's good four starters on the o line back a defense that was respectable 32 and scoring defense last year has seven starters back that's definitely a good sign uh so there's a lot to like here with Wyoming Kenny dilling and Arizona State a team that last year you know kind of um came on they were better down the stretch they had a terrible start but they did get a little bit better down the stretch but there are concerns only one starter on the o line back uh top two receivers are gone uh they do have Cam scabo returning at the running back spot one of the better names there and a new starting quarterback Michigan State transfer Sam levit who has won the job here out of fall Camp uh we'll see how he fares but comes over from Michigan State only four starters back on defense now they did get better on defense as the season went on but still the overall numbers weren't great and you have four starters back I'm going to take a shot with Wyoming here I mean Arizona State to me is going to have a tough time in the Big 12 everyone's projected them to be you know second to second last or last place finish in the Big 12 this year Wyoming has shown the ability to hang with and compete against teams remember the Texas Tech game last year now that was in laramy this is on the road so this is a little different but I would look at the dog before I look at the favorite here in this game CAC what do you think Wyoming Arizona State yeah I get it there's just something week one I I don't want to lay the points with Arizona state they're at home I think they could win this game uh we all know I want to you know we look to Wyoming at home uh but at times they played well on the road but you know new staff what do we get here new quarterback uh going on here I think think the defense will be all right for Wyoming and especially as the year goes on it's usually is good sometimes they have some bad early games maybe against some bigger schools but uh I think they'll be okay I like Arizona State now laying this touchdown or get I like the quarterback you mentioned scattero I think this team could be pretty good uh and this is a solid spot I just this would be different if it was laying three here in this game you know something short but I think this is a little bit too high uh and this is one I I even wanted to look at maybe a little bit more because I don't know if I can get there with with Wyoming just because of the question marks early on I'd like these are the ones that i' love to watch as as you just kind of see how everything's going with the offense who's back with the new coach how how they're running things so I'll definitely be interested in this one
