heated and hot up in here listen last Thursday I was supposed to do a live show we all know that um didn't happen right I told you on last Tuesday a week ago uh seven days like the ring would say if you ever seen that movie you got to kick out of that but look uh real [ __ ] look last week last Thursday uh family happened all right I picked my kids up uh just to run you through the weekend little sippi Sports show Weekend Update uh picked the kids up uh Thursday went to the natches area natches Mississippi uh area to um Homa National Forest stayed at Clear Springs Recreation Area out there in the camper and uh we stayed out there for two nights uh had a great time swimming at the Homa River had a good time in natches eating good food going to the brewery eating some pizza yeah they let the kids in there man it ain't like what you think no it's it's a clean cut Brewery uh they let the kids in there and they real good pizza there love love going there shout out to the little easy for the one of the best breakfast in Naches Mississippi love that place uh but yeah after that we the Saturday we hit the water park down here in Bay St Louis uh Buccaneer Bay State uh water park at Buccaneer State Park then immediately after that we hit wrestling uh gcw at the clubhouse here in Bay St Louis got to watch some wrestling with my kids and then Sunday you know the church and the whole rest is the nine yards but good weekend but I wanted to let let y'all know last Thursday you know we didn't do a live show I'm sorry but hey the family the youngans y'all know how it is folks especially you fellas out there uh dads y'all know how it is them youngans come first and hey no shame in that game now uh that was a lot of the little housekeeping uh things we had there I see some comments already Matthew Deo what you think LSU gonna do this year uh a lot of people got them going in the 12 team playoffs already uh don't be surprised if that happens I mean a lot of folks h on Garrett nus meire if you did watch the spring game uh his his spring game checks out I thought he did a damn good job uh Garrett NM might be a guy to watch you know here look a lot of people gonna beat me up Garrett M nire might be a guy to watch you know potential Heisman guys I'm not a no nowhere near an LSU fan nowhere near a two lane fan I just live in the era uh area but I mean when you look at it look at it I hate to be honest with you but Garrett NM he looked like the real deal in that spring game now talking to with some LSU fans a lot of LSU Fans Say Hey look SI a a lot of times in the spring game these quarterbacks come out look great and then they they're flat okay don't get your hopes up too much but hey from what I saw hey I think LSU going to make the 12 team playoff I'm not saying they're going to win the SEC I'm not even going to say they're going to win the SEC West East whatever they're in now I know they got more teams uh than they usually had Oklahoma Texas now in the SEC uh but LSU what they gonna do this year uh I think it's all up to Garrett NM guys what you say Matt that's what I got uh just just point blank hey how you doing uh getting all everybody on the dog on show man try to just run through it as fast as I could until I could get on here and talk about this other Miss golden eagles right and look to start that thing off we gonna have to take a dog on break and I what they call me the World of Wrestling now the big wild now let's get after man Southern Mill college football scheduled breakdown for 2024 you gotta obviously start with none other what you think we gonna start with guys when you got a scheduled breakdown of the 2024 season what the dog on what what could it possibly be that the sippy Sports show sippy dog on it what would they start on well I'll be the first to tell you you start on the dog on schedule wouldn't you and on the schedule just to Pump It Up and pump it loud and proud the Southern Miss Gold Eagles uh well I don't know if we're too proud about it but Southern Miss Gold Eagles had to uh swap the games up a little bit we all know what happened here uh um well some of y'all don't let's talk about it Souther Miss immediately y'all see that August 31st at Kentucky a lot of folks you know sitting there looking at sippy hey hold on now that that can't be right we supposed to play Ohio State right well folks if you been under a rock if you've been under the Rock and we ain't talking about mm Roberts Stadium The Rock in Hattisburg baby but if you've been outside the loop and look if you've been in the loop but we talking about a belt loop you need to loosen some up brother we all know how we are lose a couple pounds before the season start but look they switched it up Ohio State said the risk reward ratio it's G even if we beat them by 70 points it's gonna bring our ranking down that's where hey that's where they're at it kind of happened with them last year I can't remember the opponent they played a lightweight opponent they beat them pretty pretty stoutly and uh you know immediately the ranking drops and they won it they won it you know it's not a quality win but they won big they did what they were supposed to do just wasn't enough to keep the ranking high at that whatever week that was they're not willing to risk that again at Ohio State so I guess they agreed Southern Miss and Ohio State agreed to drop uh the Ohio State Southern Miss game uh and that's where we got to I guess go around open free market hey who wants to play the golden eagle who wants some of baby who wants some of this fight you know the Southern Miss Golden Eagle will have some fight with them this year uh we going talk about some of the best players on the golden eagles uh what some say are the top 10 golden eagles on this team this season can't wait to get on them guys most of them this ain't gonna be a surprise could be to some of you most of them gonna be on the defensive side of the football we'll talk about that in a little bit uh but you see also go ahead back to that schedule sip uh talking to yourself here brother let me answer myself too that's how you know I'm crazy right uh August 31st go ahead and go Kentucky at a sec opponent cannot wait to face a team like uh well any chance you get as a as a smaller group of five school and I feel confident in calling us set now a smaller group of five school I mean look up our ranking where're we're one of the worst in the country in the ranking system uh but you got Kentucky here we gonna talk about it right wait till the Fells get on in here but you start at Kentucky I feel great about this game honestly Tate Road makers going to um got to come in just just come in and complete passes don't try to the long ball don't try the short crap just come in complete passes get after the dog on football right uh um and look Rodriguez Clark big play clay uh y'all gonna have to get after it too Kenyan clay uh we love you brother big sinko there number five we gonna see what he got this year you still got Chandler Pitman that's like a little tast on Hill if you will Swiss Army knife he can do it all quarterback uh Florida back look at that uh running back and even wide receiver don't don't hey catch him at tight M next week you never know but but excited to see what our chances are going to look like against Kentucky at Kentucky on the road in that environment y'all look a lot of folks said it couldn't be done when we did it before right we already been up there we already got the win the next season I understand they came down here and beat us in Hattisburg but look guys opportunity to beat an SEC opponent big big game here look you you come out and beat Kentucky setting the stage for the rest of the season right I think I I'm confident with that uh the next week on the schedule as uh I'm not confident on the win I'm confident if you come out and beat Kentucky you you're setting the tone for the rest of the schedule right and that's a I mean you you be we ain't gonna talk about too much wait till the folks get on here uh sec I'm sorry SEC uh Southeast Louisiana the next week at home then you got South Florida um South Florida coming to the rock as well the Bulls can't wait to see South Florida been a while um since we play them can't remember last time we played them just off the top of my head um another key opponent a lot of folks are looking out outside our conference Jacksonville State at um I mean Southern Miss at Jacksonville State a lot of folks looking at that team because of their coaching staff um a lot of returning uh upper classman coming back for the Jacksonville State Gamecocks uh and and look another Alabama opponent on the schedule uh we're going to see what we got there then you got an open date then you got Lafayette at home since last season um since last season we we went on Lafayette went to the went on the road and if y'all remember Ethan Crawford Ethan freaking Crawford baby EC3 Easy E I mean we could go on and on bro Ethan Crawford brings the game back in in this Lafayette game brings us to the game-winning touchdown brings us into overtime beats the Louisiana raging cun at home we're walking out the stadium every Fan's blaming the refs on me D oh be happy I hope the refs go back to Hattisburg with you yeah yeah yeah look EC3 effect is is it's a real deal folks I'm not saying look his stats up I mean he was over 50% right uh but don't look his stats up he's just getting started baby I can't wait to see what he can look we all know that uh Tate roadmaker guy well starting the season right we all know going into lexon Kentucky I see you my man backstage uh we all know going in Kentucky that Tate roadmaker is a guy right I I I I think I speak for everyone here that that I don't think we're gonna be bringing in Ethan Crawford over the transfer from uh Florida State right I do think it's going to be Tate roadmaker there at Kentucky first uh and and look bringing in Ethan Crawford wherever you can that doesn't mean don't ever put him in coach Hall that just means look if Tate Road Maker's having a rough patch if he comes out flat if he comes out throwing picks if he comes out taking sacks if he comes out dog on fumbling and jumbling baby it don't matter you take his ass out you don't do what you did last year folks you don't go eight game six games before you make a decision on putting in look I know Ethan Crawford was young but saw what he did in Lafayette on the road when he was down in the fourth quarter brought the golden eagles back brought him to a dog on touchdown at let us overtime and then also brought us to the game-winning dog on touchdown in overtime to beat the Lafayette R cages on the road I'm just telling you you don't wait to take the bait baby you got to go out there head first risk it for the biscuit look coach Hall very well could be your last season as a golden eagle head coach all right I'mma tell you something a a good man told me and he ain't far from getting on this show tonight [ __ ] or get off the pot baby and this year it's s all right it's on it it's make a break you know Deal or No Deal brother this going all in I can't wait to see what we got all right you know we started Kentucky South Southeast Louisiana at home South Florida at home a lot of people looking at that game I'm more focused on that at Jacksonville State game on the road at Al in Alabama got you a by week we got Louisiana regie Cajun at home going to play at Monroe against General booty that's right the quarterback for the Monroe War Hawks General booty uh we're gonna see how much the booty can take right we're gonna see what he can take because this Southern Miss Golden Eagle this this sou Miss Golden Eagle defense can penetrate brother they can penetrate so we gonna see how much General booty we gonna see how much General booty can take brother how about it then you gotta go uh well a lot of conference game one of the biggest conference games Southern Miss fans uh that the the the I guess you could say the nation most news articles the analysis are looking at uh for our conference PR play is that Arkansas State game they see Arkansas State as an equal opponent to Southern Miss they're not saying they're better they're not saying they're worse like a lot of folks are looking at Monroe they think Monroe is worse than uh Southern Miss they're not really focused on that game they also think James Madison is better than Southern Miss right uh so they're not focused on that game in our conference the one game in conference that's the make or break game that the the analysis not us are looking at and it does make me look at it too with my dog on sights on it let's be real is that Arkansas State game at home I do believe they are an equal opponent to the Southern Miss golden eagles now next last season uh y y'all just know they always come in with some quarterback they can run around and just do what they do and just kind of run all over the golden eagles and we've seen it every year with them whether we beat them or not they're able to do kind of what they want offensively against us so hey I'm kind of key on that game too Arkansas State kind of an equal opponent um some folks that get mad at me for saying that I don't care that's what I see us man I don't see us as a Monroe even though ranking wise nationally we are like a Monroe we are at the bottom of the barrel we are in the top I'm sorry the bottom 10 the bottom 15 at the max uh but but we we aren't where we used to be and starting the season in the mid 50s right starting the season in the mid 40s sometimes folks starting the season right outside the top 25 y'all remember these Seasons uh but we aren't that team no more uh we're we're a team that sorry bottom of the barrel we gotta find our way to get back relevant right we gotta find a way at at all means necessary especially coach Hall I mean it's he's our last right last chance baby we got to find something that's going to roll because after that Arkansas State game you got to go on the road and play James Madison right folks uh yeah James Madison we gonna see how that pans out for US Marshall at home look that's a game I can't wait to go to I cannot wait to go see the Thundering Herd and they little all white we'll see what they dress but I love the allh with the green letters and all the number I like how it looks really I like how it looks against the golden eagles too with our black uniform but anyways can't wait to see Marshall at the Rock again been a long time right Southern Miss fans since we've seen Marshall come to Hattisburg can't wait to see that then you go on the road against Texas State a lot of uh shift up there on that football team can't really I I don't know really how to break them down yet until the season starts thank the good Lord that Texas Texas state is late in the season so that we can actually get a good look at them and see what they do offensively and defensively with all the change up um going on with their roster right and and moving around even in the coaching staff uh Texas State's just all over the place right now so can't wait to see and we got time y'all see the schedule you got time don't play them till November 16th uh but you play them at San Marcos on the road very far trip for the golden eagles I believe that James Madison might be the farthest uh that they're going to travel this season but you know check me on that uh then you got your dog on they want to call friendly foe huh keep your enemy your friend you what whatever the saying is we ain't even getting after it tonight look South Alabama Jaguars they got her number right Southern Miss fan come on now talk to me they got our number every year these son of a guns they they they they just get after every year these guys get after South Alabama Jaguars and then you end the the season on sippy's birthday baby on sippy's birthday end the season on the road in Troy Alabama obviously the University of Troy the rapid up Trojans uh real excited for that game in it's Troy gonna be what they Heisman winning quarterback Jaden Daniels going to the Washington commanders um well excited to see what he can do right with Washington but but that's besides the point they got Garrett nus me back uh coming and like I said looked phenomenal to me uh I think he went seven for seven uh something like that in the spring game looked really good against that LSU defense uh but pops a lot of LSU fans kind of jumped back at me and said hey look every year are these quarterbacks look great great in the spring game for LSU and then they come out flat you know so I don't know if you've been watching LSU at all in this off season but I got them making the 12 team playoff and you know and that's not me saying they're going to be a zero or a on loss team uh they might be making the playoffs as a two SE team don't know you a't been keeping up that's you huh po I'm team we going to look at tonight I figure May gonna steal a spot from the SEC all right uh uh junkyard Willie on the dog on phone you Brock Vandergriff from Georgia gonna make at Kentucky verse how much of a difference is Tate Road maker gonna make at Southern Miss I mean is it more impact I figured this Kentucky few you know last few years and been kind of creeping up creeping up creeping up they have had everything in place I think they going to have it again in place they just need somebody that can that can deliver the ball and I think this kid can deliver the ball at Kentucky and know he had he got he's sitting there at Georgia he may not play another couple of years at Georgia so time's going by and that that's what what's happening in these big schools they getting the cream in the crop we talked about it last week you talked you said it last Tuesday and they come in and yeah they some tough I mean real good talented you know go in NFL talented quarterbacks but when you got three of them on you know one on the field and three on the bench you know you can't play but one at a time that's right and so why why should I said another two years at George and and Mike get play my senior year because I don't know who else they may bring in here I'm GNA have to battle for that spot you know why don't I go where somebody's exiting and there's not really that top quarterback there and I could be the man that's right and this road to maker where's he coming from that's the kid from Florida State coming in the guy oh yeah he was the one that he finished the season out right that's it well from what I W he didn't lose the game that's right he did he did win the ACC Championship game he did everything he had to do to make the playoffs last year it's kind of suck that that ACC didn't get in because a player got hurt well pops come on man I mean if the BCS system was in place they would have made an in I'm pretty sure but honestly Come On Pop I'm gonna tell you uh I'm gonna say I'm gonna go way out on the lamb I probably cut my own lamb off behind me here but uh I I'm thinking y'all fixing to get a quarterback that's just just a little bit better than mullets was come on now Jay Lum what you say brother hey how y'all doing sorry I might this you know for some reason streamyard was not let me uh while yeah you're on a uh 69 day streak brother your favorite number I'm just kidding uh no I'm I don't know how long it's been good to have you back on the show look we got football popping back off talking right now about Brock Vandergriff at Kentucky how much of a difference is he gonna have compared to the difference of Tate roadmaker at Southern Miss do you think the the I guess addition of Brock Vandergriff at Kentucky coming from Georgia makes that big of a difference and and look I do I'll go ahead on I I think it does I think Brock Vandergriff is going to do great at Kentucky am I saying they're going to win the SEC no guys come on uh they're gonna be in the mix uh you know Kentucky is a team that always starts off five and0 seven and0 they do it every year and then you know they go on a losing streak but they do this but lump does Brock Vander Griff make that much of a difference at Kentucky than you know Tate roadmaker at Southern Miss where you at on all that you know to be honest I I don't know very much about kuy's roster all I know is about southern myth and um I couldn't tell you what type of quarterback that guy is uh I mean I do predict that um I mean we're we're probably going to lose to Kentucky um but um my my main focus is how we do you know throughout the rest of the year I I mean I predict we're going to lose to Kentucky I mean the way I'm looking at when I look at the schedule we're really not going to know anything until we play uh South Florida in week three there we're gonna we're going to play at Kentucky and I you I've said this before to other folks you know we're going to lose to Kentucky all right and it's not really gonna tell much hurts to hear it I know I know trust me I don't I hate you know this prediction but that's just where we're at right now yeah if we're talking percentages yeah of course so we're we're going to lose to Kentucky and it's not really going to tell us much then we're going to come home and we're going to smash Southeastern that's also not that's also not going to tell us much because you know that's an FCS scho we're we're going to probably hang 45 50 points on them so in my eyes the real test is going to be week three when we host South Florida at the Rock that's going to be the um I think uh the the measuring stick of where we're at and will Hall's fourth year I agree and I add to it I think that very next game at Jacksonville State is I mean South Florida if South Florida comes into Hattisburg week three and they beat us in convincing fashion and we do not look prepared at all you know we look terrible and they just embarrass us quite frankly then that tells me that this is going to be another three or four win type season and it's probably going to be will Hall's last year yeah pop because that there's no reason with the four years of recruiting we've had and we've had good recruiting classes with Will Hall we just hadn't seen results on the field go ahead l no I gonna say to tie this all back into the question or your question about the quarterbacks um you know I don't know much about kuy's Rost but I know that Tate rodmaker like pop said Tate rodmaker is going to be probably the one of the better quarterbacks we've had on our roster since we had Nick Mullins um so and we have not had a good consistent quarterback at at Southern myth in you're right so but it all go and I know I har I think I've harped on this every for the past two three years on this show I've harped on the same thing over over I know you're sick of here but really it bowls down to can our offensive line block oh here we no I'm just kidding to bring that it's if you don't have a good offensive line don't matter who you put it doesn't matter you can have you can have Tom Brady and it doesn't matter now the only man that can make a difference with no offensive line is Dion I'm sorry Barry Sanders you know Sanders at the line brother you know if you got like Michael Vic or someone who can just like SC right I know it I know it Talent you know it's generally speaking it doesn't matter who you have if you have if if you got a 300lb defensive lineman in your face 7 seconds after the ball is snapped to your hand it doesn't matter how good you are okay we've got to give our quarterbacks and our wide receivers and skill players time to step in the pocket and make throws give our guys time to run their routes and make let our quarterbacks you know check down you know we we've got to give our guys time to throw the ball now we had blashes last year there were some times where we ran the ball pretty good but we have not we have not been able to throw the ball and we have not had a good offensive line since we had OS Smith running the ball and of course that was what 2016 yeah when we had M Mull and Os Smith that was really the last time we had a consistent offensive line that's right and it's it's gonna bow down to offensive line every year it's great that we've got a good quarterback this year I think our defense is going to be again I think the defense is going to be the strong part of this team got a lot we got a lot of good defensive players and Lum understand something 100% you're right about the defense they're going to be the star of the show always well I say always but I do think uh the offense and guys back me up on this now they don't really got to do a lot to make a big difference I mean I mean all that you know we come out with a decent quarterback he ain't got to be the greatest but you come out with a consistent quarterback and junkyard I but no he's actually the head coach at Florida Atlanta did not know that so I had it mixed up yeah uh it was Charlie Strong that's who it was I don't know if it is still yeah no it's he said Tom Herman now he had started off good there in uh South Florida but the last few seasons is has been kind of sucky so old Tom Herman at fa Al huh that's what I heard too that's who's at fa I just looked it up and um South Florida's head coach is a guy named Alex goish um he's been there since uh I think I guess this is his second year yeah they had a new coach last year which was him I I have no idea who that is yeah I don't know either he was at um he's got a he's got a decent um like I said last year was his first year at South Florida and they went seven and six um and uh I'm trying to look at his uh his resume but um yeah this is his second year this will be his second he was looks like he came to he came to South Florida he was a Tennessee's offensive coordinator in tight ends coach for a couple years and before that he was an offensive coordinator at Central Florida and he's had stops at Iowa State and Illinois and Toledo uh coaching running backs and tight ends but uh this is his um this is his second year as being a head coach in D1 last year was his first year so um and like I said they went seven and six last year and um they were uh pretty dismal up until they hired him so he's he's probably a pretty solid coach and um and um it's gonna be a tough game because I mean South Florida usually recruits really good you know uh players you know so my thing is if if if they come into Hattisburg and embarrass us week3 that tells me that all I need to know about um uh where we're at because this is I mean I'm over I'm over it dude this is year four okay year one I thought it was five for will Hall it's year four you know year one um we went what three and nine year two we go seven and six okay feeling pretty good year three which was last year we go back to being crappy so it's like so here we are year four we've got and I've said this over and over this is this is what's going to if Will Hall does not go to a bowl game this year then he's gone we will we will buy out his last year on his contract which is 2025 and uh and we'll have a new coach if we do not go to It's Kind this is another crazy thing there a fine line because this is this is and this is this is just my opinion and uh you may not like it or what but if Will Hall does not go to a bowl game I think they'll they'll uh they'll terminate his contract and buy him out if Will Hall does go to a bowl game they're probably going to extend his contract so there's a fine line between you know if he goes five and seven this year and we missed out on a bowl game he's gone if he goes seven and five he's getting a contract extension and so just kind of that's just like the fine line between um you know getting uh contract extension or getting served your papers yeah yeah just to add to that I I think you're exactly right on both points it it might not be the favorite popular opinion guys but I do think can y'all hear me all right I mean Jay Hopson Jay Hopson got fired for and he's he had a much better winning record he had a much better winning percentage in overall record than will holl had right uh but but just to add to that like you said it might not be the most popular opinion Lum but I agree with you I do think that if he if he bombs again he's got he's out right he's gotta go tickets came here here's a sad thing here's the sad thing though you got to remember this you know just say let's just take this y'all go seven and six you you went to a bow game lost in the bowl game seven and seven or whatever that is yeah right so you end up with a uh a loss in a bowl game you know do you rehire him even though you made it to the Bowl game and does that help the program a bowl loss yeah if we go if we go to a ball game if we go to a ball game he he's not getting he's his job say it doesn't matter how we perform in the ball game but if I think there's a good possibility I think that he a good possibility gets like a couple of years more regardless how the season turns out because who they get who they gonna get well there's you know no pops there's guys out there man they're not going to keep there's 300 football schools in the United States you know somebody is there are good football coaches out there coach oh baby coacho we tried to get him last time but I get you know a lot of people say oh will Hall if we a lot of people are saying that we're going to after that you know the we we that's two weeks in a row where we like and I I don't know if youall remember that Texas State game we actually came back and made it a game and then we threw a pick at the very end and they ended up scoring like in the final seconds and the final score was not indicative of how close the game actually was towards the end and then in another uh old division we lost at home to Old Dominion by like three or four points we had that that stretch right there we had no business losing now guys just to jump back into it let's get to some of these comments kind of speed Miss just got Florida State backup quarterback very good backup quarterback some people are sitting here arguing with me in the comment look that's your opinion but I think this is a Nick Mullen type and pop said it first and I'll continue to back him up because I haven't thought that way yet but the dude really does he's long he's kind of got that long build like Mullen uh the way he sits in that pocket he doesn't he's not trying to razal D he's looking for an open man to throw the football to and in the spring game what do we stand him do Mark he didn't score the touchdowns but damn it he got in the Red Zone every time moving that football so I'm hoping along the way we getting in the end zone with that obviously uh but either way look if all he's doing folks is getting us in the red zone and you bring your boys Ethan Crawford in and he runs it in I'm fine with that too and like pop said you know a lot of people didn't want Brady to be the quarterback a lot of people said oh Ro draft Brady so late who was one people who's Tom Brady right oh just another late round quarterback right how many of those go around uh but but look you see what happened with Brady he wasn't flashing he was winning football games and a lot of people like pops see Tate romaker as a guy that comes in and just win football games not a guy that's rled Dazzle not running around not throwing a deep ball throwing to an how many times how many times in the past two years I know for a fact have if he if he's continuously getting down into the Red Zone and you're not getting just say you're not getting a touchdown every time but at least you're getting a field goal how many times in the last two years would a football a couple of field goals with have one first that's right with our defense with our defense as good as we've been defensively PS a lot of games and I'll Stand On That Mountain because that's a dog on God's honest truth our defense has been on fire here l and our offense needs to get their dog let me calm it down son but let me tell you something that offense needs to get it together enough's enough and it's time to win not not just win but put some points on a freaking board that are more than seven 14 and 21 all right we want 24 or more points wins a football game all right and today's football with a spread offense everybody running and gunning down the dog on field come and go we talking about something different now but listen every time we play in these teams that are able to get the dog on matriculate the dog on field dog just piss me off on us doing what we should be doing we play Mississippi football guys this is south Mississippi the dog on cream of the crop and I'm telling you something we got to keep these guys that are going to other states and playing bigger football than what we got going on here because it's coming there's going to be a day that we are back to Southern Miss football right now we're on the we're on that R am I saying we're back like Texas likes to do and then you know flp FL you know just completely [ __ ] no I'm not saying we're back but dog on it we're looking in the right direction with Tate Road maker you got you got Rodriguez Clark and big play clay running back you got the dog on humongous JJ Butler that I ain't even talked about all night 65 wide receiver that's just lighting it up on Southern Miss he's only a sophomore folks but look Mark to tie it all back this Brock Vandergriff going to Kentucky from Georgia is that going to be a bigger impact on this game than Tate roadmaker coming from Florida State Southern Miss vers Kentucky I mean look even with Kentucky winning the game does Tate Road maker still have a big where you at on this game and quarterback situation of these two teams I think he'll be a deer in headlights you know he's played in big venues and I think you know tying this into the new offensive coordinator chip chip long and then you look I think these are these are big factor Tippy the uh new new defensive coordinator the new offensive coordinator will Hall's not calling the plays anymore I assume will you know with the absence of Frank Gore Jr now lead to us I mean we're gonna have to pass the ball we're gonna have to stretch the field because they're not going to be as concerned about our back field now like teams had been with Frank Gore on the you know on the roster so I think we're gonna have to air it out I don't know whates are I mean you're talking about our defense and how we're kind of on the up I don't think be the problem like I said he's won what was it Florida State he beat Florida and was that at the swamp I mean yeah at the swamp first freshman to open his career at the swamp and win and in for State history folks and he's played enough to where again he's played in venues a lot bigger than what he's going to see this year I think you know obviously and you know we're gonna have to stretch the ball out we're have to get the ball down the field obviously it's on paperwor probably gonna be like a double digit Underdog so I don't know it's I'm expecting us to lose but anything's possible I do believe that you can upset a team easier in the first game of the season you know that's right you're not supposed to win the game now before you continue on there though Mark does that you know Kentucky every year here in the last three four years starting that undefeated streak they do it every year five wins in a row and they get ranked real high seven wins in a row I think what two years ago they went nine in a row eight in a row but but but what I'm saying is does that player they do start does start hot but there again you do have a quarterback transferred in hey we've had those before and guess what first play the first oh the best o line in the or the biggest o line in the country every year right there humongous hogs baby hey before we jump too deep into it Mark what do you think Man team of the night from Pops Point man Arkansas on the bubble he says on the bubble now with the 12 team playoff they have a lot of talent I don't know KJ Jefferson still there like he kind of REM TJ Finley I don't know if he's there but if he is pull that up sippy is KJ Jefferson gonna be the quarterback for Arkansas he's back got you one second I think's he's like a poor man's cam ah KJ Jefferson transfers from Arkansas I thought he was there but I was gonna say no noyal any thison system I don't even see TJ Finley St right that was terrible move there I don't see how stabil increasing I guess they're getting paid well FV what we're gonna be looking Jefferson is a UCF he's a knight pretty good he went to he went from there to uh I don't know I think that's a downgrade M well they're Big 12 now right there's a lot of money in Orlando well ucf's Big 12 now mark But there again historically yes definitely a downgrade you're going from the SEC to the Big 12 there that alone downgrade yeah just like Texas to Western Kentucky to me it's a dow for TJ Finley but again he probably got paid money he prob got paid a bag and that's it you know now now I mean Arkansas Pops I mean obviously KJ Jefferson gone you said maybe not this year but definitely next year when you said that are we talking 12 team playoff yes this can can I have my say I let you I don't have the mic go ahead you can uh man you knocked me off my D training thought but we're talking about Arkansas definitely not this year or or maybe this this could have uh uh SEC implications too cause I really you know uh this week different things I'll focus on on different teams the reason why I'll say that could be really good and I'm the reason I'm saying that Arkansas is a potential of being really good this coming year if not next year for sure um is their coaching staff they have this year talk to now they Sam pitman's been in there since uh at Arkansas since uh 2020 he was there before from 133 to 15 and then he went to Georgia 16 and he was the offensive line coach from 2016 to 18 and 2019 his assistant head coach and offensive line coach while he was at Jordan they won they won a national championship and uh and he he came to Arkansas in 2019 team was bad down and um they started you know picking back up they had a Down Season last year and it was due to once again some bad coaching and uh so this this uh Sam Pitman before he before head coaching Arkansas he had head coach uh Hutchinson that's kind of like a community college and he been Co he's been coaching for 40 years and he's just been all over the world and back you know different teams offensive line you know uh the tight end Coach assistant head coach uh offensive coordinator and then you know he does his stand at Georgia and Arkansas was pretty impressed so they br him back because uh you know he was an offensive assistant head coach at Arkansas once before and they bring him back and so he's kind of got the the the the team turned around he got the team turned around but they he just hadn't been consistent with his coaches so he does what all good coaches do that if they want to win if you want to win you got to surren surround yourself with good with good uh coaches talk to us who we got oh I'm get something up real quick I want while while you're doing that while you're doing that I want to talk about that Arkansas quarterback situation Mark do I still have you on the phone yeah I'm listening all right we just talked about KJ Jefferson pops when you're ready uh let me finish and then we can go into that Pop um we just talked about KJ Jefferson leaving Arkansas right pop right Mark going to UCF golden Knight I believe whatever they're called Black Knight golden Knight whatever um they do have pop said either this year definitely next year I want to tell you they got a junior transfer coming in so it does make sense this year maybe next year a quarterback coming in six6 223 pound what Arkansas loving these humongous fellas uh well you gotta be big really over that line right pop to look over the freaking line the the huge [Music] exactly uh but but this guy's coming T green he's going to be wearing the number 10 Jersey oh just read this he I'll just tell you he was at Arkansas back 2008 to 2012 and on April 1st 2012 this young man had a motorcycle crash on Arkansas Highway and uh he just so happened to have a young uh volleyball player Jessica Dell that was on the bike with him and it was later to find out and he was having an affair with the young lady um so he was watch out he was dating the coach coach dating but the guy he's had a great coaching career overall one of the great College offensive Minds he's just been kind of after that some things kind of went wobbly of course you know nobody wants to tie their name to him a lot but we're talking about the the great Bobby patrino get out of town he used to be the head coach there there in Louisville Louisville he not the head coach I'm talk about a clash of power Come on B well he's he's uh that Pitman hired him as offensive coordinator and I'm telling you right now uh pitman's a pretty good offense of Mind himself um but just just that high Bobby patrino I agree listen there some guys gonna be lured to that that college I mean just off the record this is just me and you talking not even on the show I mean this daddy listen what an advantage having two head coaches on one team I mean if they don't if they don't start a power Clash right well that's that's he accepted the role he knows his place I hope he needs to understand by the grace of God he comes you know what I mean after getting caught with a you know even getting back to Arkansas right they theyed that Olive brch to him I get it you know so uh but the guy you know and Sam Pitman the head coach um I wrote read several columns on him they're talking about as far as recruiting as being the he's like one of the top five football Recruiters in the country so I come in there and bang it with you and Arkansas likes to do to that to add on to that I mean to add on to that run game you're talking about they do have the transfer from Utah and he was at Texas as got another guy transferred in Kean leelock from Michigan State another Junior listen all the Juniors guys tops it sounds like you're hitting something another Junior not this year but next 65 225 the exact same size as the San Jose transfer they got a they got a young guy that signed here recently named brilin Russell 61230 he's running back oh they got a defensive lineman Charlie Collins that is a recent sign 6426 that's already a preseason SEC honorable mention come on now and he's just transferred in yeah got a linebacker of white Simmons just signed in 63 215 and Pops one other guy on that offensive line I wanted to mention he's one of the youngest transfers that Arkansas got but everybody in the Razer back little little Lara there on their little social media board that I'm reading right here a sophomore transfer a center not too many times guys I want to mention something real quick how many times do you see in that transfer portal centers transferring that's not a position we see a lot of transfers like kickers right but a center transfer from none other than Tennessee baby uh this guy's Center is a center guys usually a shorter guy a center 65 305 pounds uh just and he's only a sophomore and they got they got another kid signing in that signed in here he's a they say he's a three star player coming out of high school they don't know where they going play him defense or offense but he's 66 Way's 335 good Lord like like like we have maybe one guy [Laughter] that so they bu they built for the hush puppy baby well they they got a speed guy dad you mentioned Rodney Hill yet number zero running back from Florida state that got in um he he's supposed to be their speed guy right guys the speed guy the speed guy 610 I'm sorry 6 510 I'm sorry 510 190 pounds by the season begins they're talking 205 with this guy 205 AT 510 that that doesn't sound like a speed guy but that is an Arkansas speed guy I mean he's still got to have the size real quick just to throw it back um C you did ask about the running back situation at Southern Miss now that FL that that floor I'm floor uh Gore is G the uh T Travis helped us out here he said you got Dr Clark now Drake Clark is supposed to be our starter guys I did tell you last season hey next season we got big play clay starting well the realistic part of this is Clay's a power back you know and and I should have known that I do know that but I wanted to see our power back you know get more I'll be the all time allpurpose back but in today's football be honest Clark he's older he's a veteran the Memphis transfer two not just this year but two years ago now Dre Clark now you know he is going to be that all allpurpose all down back every down back and you bring Kenyan clay in like in the third you know third down back like he was doing and he does good at that and you also have from right there in Hattisburg our very own uh DQ gray a guy that at one point we thought was gonna be put at wide receiver because of his speed and all that no sir he's still sitting there at running back and don't forget Travis a guy you didn't mention and I keep bringing him up he's our of the team and we all know it Mar is chanandler Pitman uh Chandler pitman's gonna be that army knife you can he's a plug andplay guy he's not really got that spot on the depth chart but he can be that he's a starter look he might not be a starter wide receiver starting running back starting quarter but he is a damn starter I think he's going to start at slot but that don't mean you won't see him that super back formation right I don't think that just goes away now that Gore's going I think they're GNA keep doing that Mark where are you at on all that with the running back group at Southern Miss well you know as you guys are talking about Arkansas I and we're going back to Arkansas but we're just answering a question I am gonna answer your question I was looking up old you know excerpts and you know hot takes on chip long and his time under Brian Kelly as the Notre Dame OC and one thing I noticed I was kind of scrolling through it as I was listening to y'all about his Tendencies I really kind of want to know sippy and Pops what this new offensive coordinator chip Long's Tendencies are and it seems to me like he does like to run he likes to run at about 65 to 80 80 times that's a lot um he does now I also noticed that he likes to take a lot of shots down the field but Tate's not that guy I don't know I mean maybe that was but JJ Butler is a ball hwk he's a guy that goes down there you're right job and new personnel and I'm sure at this level he'll figure it out I'm just saying in 2017 this was the take on him and this was that Notre game with a different group of players that that we have and you know gonna answer Brian Kelly I think he's got a lot more freedom though I think I mean out of the way I mean is is it in him or you think he's the kind of guy who I want to say something real quick mark you know I was talking about will Hall he needs to go to the dagam high uh junior college or Community College route pull out some some good offensive tackle you know offensive line people you know they right there in Mississippi talks about keeping everybody in Mississippi uh Miami Hurricanes just signed a four star he come from he's from Cleveland Mississippi but he went to homes Community College 69240 how could we Old Miss State we all missed him well not just listen at this one this will make you sick too from Holes Community College also he was from Jackson went to holes Community College he comes out as a fourar to Old Miss come on now I mean that recruiting that's going on look here's another one another one that uh cornerback from Jones Jr College to Old Miss 510 170 missed yeah Junior man and this is and y'all are going to hate when I say it because look we're I know we're past this guy and we're on to the next and we're on trying to bu and all this but look guys last year he brought him to a national championship and lost he still there at East Mississippi he didn't go nowhere this season as we thought he would ta Keys going into his next year with uh no I'm just kidding you know I'm playing with you what do you got Mark what do you got Louisiana Tech going this football yeah I just saw he's at Louisiana Tech too oh boy that's gonna be great you know it what a game that'll be TJ Finley from ponchatula LSU uh Texas state now West Kentucky ver Tais from Southern Miss then he went to look like both of them's been traveling Oh Daddy was a rolling stone oh he's a Rambling Man hey uh is Coastal Carolina in the y'all's conference here's another East Mississippi wide receiver 63 63 210 I know and I was begging for him to come I was begging I mean there's a lot of talent right there at home why man it just don't make no sense to me maybe in hell man I mean maybe they had money but there [Music] again it's it's it's a it's a relationship now it's it's a it's like a prostitute in Amsterdam and there's a John who leaves the money on the table now it's not it's not a Hallmark moment and love and I'm gonna stay here and S got out of this because freshman were saying yo I'm out I'm not playing as a freshman we s said no I came from the old school when you said you're G to do something you you know likey with Duke those guys they were the best and they stayed for three four years Ops like gr Hill and Christian lner I mean as many times c as I talked about the threshold and the threshold and we got to get a threshold quarterback 25 or more starts that's the only time Southern Miss football does well I mean not only it's going to be near impossible to get a quarterback to get to that number now not only but just about everywhere yeah well there's a thing I'm looking at it don't make sense to me everywhere I look I these other teams around the Sun Belt and uh around the other conferences everybody's going for those six2 to 65 wide receivers and you know I'm looking two got here one six foot went to Southern Miss 6 foot 200 lb and then a 5'11 178 you know it just I'm sorry guy I you telling me you can't go out there and search get it somebody go to war the only y'all need some gas money man well Dad the only guy we got big like that is uh Javon Butler and um I mean jvon he's he's he's he looked like well honestly Mark talk to us man he was the the X he was our starting wide receiver in the spring game uh the number one wide receiver we had and Pops they got him the football Tate roadmaker was able to get him the football throughout the whole spring game um just just to kind of Spotlight him uh Javon Butler JJ Butler number six he's a sophomore a true s more this season um I I I'm real high on this guy because we've been waiting for this guy to become a starter and Pops this year Not only was he a starter but he's our number one wide receiver listen to this Mark uh like I said a true sophomore no red shirts from Forest Mississippi Scott Central High School 65 207 pounds we expect him uh some people want him to get bigger some people want him to maintain his size because of what we saw in the spring game with his speed uh at he had with the speed pop 65 at 207 right now um as our starting receiver as a true sophomore this guy like I said anytime and Mark back me up now anytime Tate did throw that ball up deep it was not to Tai Mims that we kept thinking Tai Ms was gonna be our number one guy he's out there as a starter don't get me wrong and Tai Ms will be great this season y'all will but what a what a treat it was to see a guy go deep at a young age getting that started EG um or during the Spring Game could change but anyway that's all I have for that Arkansas well I know we chasing rabbit but uh that Arkansas keep your eye on the people down in fville we G you might hear a sue Pig all the way down to south [Music] Mississippi well look pops they've always been and we like you say we going to start spotlighting smaller schools they are a big school so um just be prepared there will be smaller schools group of five teams that we're going to Spotlight yeah yeah yeah I'm just thinking goad go ahead and kind of explain that pops why did we pick Arkansas this week well I told you it wouldn't be just smaller schools uh if you look up people that's outside the bubble in other words they really hadn't been that much competitive so to speak in the conference one thing this does I think I like about the fact Texas is back in Arkansas and Texas they used to play death matches that's true those schools hated each other iason to bring the Rivalry back know they played they played back in that old Southwest uh conference and uh man and I'm sure there's a name for their rivalry I just don't know it let me look I don't know I don't know what it is I didn't look it up but I man some of the better football games and especially when I was a kid coming up back in the 70s when Texas was like real big and Arkansas too I mean they was blood on the field I'm telling you but I no I saw oh where y'all picked up this guy Grand nunery from Mississippi G Coast the offensive tackle 64 315 go ahead go ahead I didn't hear that start over I said it looks like y'all picked up a guy his name's Greg nuner Coast Community College he's uh 64 315 offensive tackle yes sir and then you picked a big outside an edge rusher now po real quick on Greg on Greg real quick uh guys understand he's he's he's coming in as a junior he he's not a sophomore he do one and done he was there you know kind of through the thick and thin with go Coast stayed with him this is the guy that was at a big score and transferred down to G Coast he was with G Coast um for two years from mome Mississippi went to mccom high school a guy that did not get a lot of looks out of high school guys 63 310 really gained a lot of weight at G coast and guys believe this or not he's starting for the golden eagles this season he is projected to start heart for us straight out of Community College and and Pops that just kind of seals the fact of why aren't we hitting these junior colleges hard especially now I do know one I do I do know one thing that they did one of the things that I saw on him with Greg nun n nun he had he had real good feet that was something a lot of people was impressed with he had Good Feet so hey that might be your pass blocker right there uh you got a guy named Jamir or Jamir Mar LS his last name is leou he was Southwest Mississippi Community College and he's a edge rusher on the D dside 64 225 that's a big old young yes sir yes sir now um pops real quick he he's actually playing a linebacker position right now we we've we've got him playing linebacker if you tell about jir yeah all right jir yeah big kid 63 225 and once again once again a guy that you know he spent two years look you're gonna start seeing guys like that that from Junior College is a different breed of of human I'm being honest if they playing two years at Junior College it's tough with gameer with game experience I mean when they get to un Southern Mississippi they know how to play ball by them and of course the game's faster we're not saying that but but um I I mean jir Lewis like I said two years um wait we still on jir Lewis right yeah yeah Jamir Lewis transferred is be wearing at number 14 jersey he is as of right now don't when I say he's a backup that does not mean he's not getting in the game y'all know how sou Miss does always rotating our def players always get them a rest it seems like Southern Miss like we've been saying all night consistently always has a good um defense Mark we still got you on the phone I forget you on here sometimes get quiet on me uh but where are you at on these guys were taken that are twoyear junior college starters or or or players I like I like guys with experience even if they're at that level you know I think Tai ke for example he's going to benefit from that time there you go stand Up's Mississippi baby line up oh don't start with me brother that's scuba you better don't don't don't disrespect scuba but but pops you're right you're right M Mississippi like I was saying does m Mississippi General get a lot of recruiting Scout visits type things well the thing about it I can speak when I was over there before I moved you know back in 2000 seven over here but back when I was over Mississippi home I mean mome Mississippi was for years I mean had some big young I mean they was usually in a state running for the championship you know every two or three years they' put a team up and uh big old young I mean would credit or discredit the lack of I guess recruiting from that area I mean why is these guys getting you know you want to be you want me to tell you the truth I hate to say it but it's a truth why a lot of players why a lot of fast players big players whatever don't they may get pick but don't laugh the education the system in mome if you go out there it's in the middle of no where Mississippi is just pine trees and and black folks hate to say it that way but yeah and typically well we we already know like educ Mississippi education kind of uh well you know I'm gonna speak it like it is because I used to work around the people I had contracts to work around uh maintenance contracts to work around all those peoples and let me tell you [Music] something when you get in there and see where they living and how they they have to live and then in a place like bu Mississippi or you know Mound by you Mississippi sh you know places mome and Liberty you know and you see these people out there there's no work Absolut just no work yeah and and all guys get to do is hang out they they don't care about school but as far as high school oh they're not but maybe it's a they got to grow up you know send them to jup well let me just put it like you a lot of these guys they graduating they barely can write their name as far as putting a regular a a uh how you say it a diagram sentence that's out the window do math Leonard forette brother it's out markard forette so so what they do they barely know got [Music] brother you're in and you're not eting on top of that is true the education system out there is just not as good as like the G Coast Area in Mississippi saw it around New Orleans with West Jefferson High School it was the biggest public school good football team in the 80s and 90s and I saw my little daughter was like a guest cheerleader I remember you went there yeah yeah when Shaw played him SE just had a player get signed to the Michigan Wolverines the former pona High School coach everyone knows coach back well the difference was this and I'll try to tie it into what said about mcon West Jeff now is is a shell of their former self it's a huge school but they were totally discombobulated on the field Shaw is a small private school but they had all these television set up on their side of the Field playing back they had a secondary coach and it looked like on the West Jeff side they had one guy screaming at everybody with the clipboard and nothing was getting done and everybody was just and it just comes down that sounds just like disorganization well you just don't have money I mean you got a public school that's kind of been left for dead and you can't get good teachers another you know they just going to go make their pay wait out their time and then move I mean you know how the was you know and uh you know one of the things that I was going to say is out in that area the one of the biggest employment things is is p pup wood hauling and if people that don't know that's when they cut that wood that's left over after they cut the Big Timber out they go in there and they cut it all in 4 foot lengths and ow it on a smaller vehicle and haul it off in cords and the way you get that wood on that truck is you go out there and you tote it up hills and sometimes you got to go over that Hill down the next one to get it come back cuz the truck can't get in there and I'm going to tell you right now when you stomping out through them woods with a 60 to 100 lb 4ot log on your shoulders with all this sticky setp all that mess and you got a 100 degree weather and 89% humidity not too many folks wants to be a puck wood hauler I know that's right I've done it I've done it because I absolutely had to um let me ask y a general football question and I said that you're gonna see Pops you're gonna see less quarterbacks with uh you know 20 or 25 starts and more like the old days now with the transfer portal what's more important y or what do you think the key to success is is it Talent or is it experience can experience make a less talented player better or is it just ultimately Com or is it a little bit of both what's more important though taler experience I think at the quarterback position well my advice to any kid out there any kid they need to understand that football is a game that's right that that thing your big you might be lucky to get that big shot go to college no matter what rank you know what size college but most of you young fellas I always tell you just like it is 99% of y'all young fellas High School playing football right now 99% of y'all not even going to get drafted and when you get to College it's about the same percentage of them is going to actually be drafted notice I didn't say make the 10 there it is and if you going to go to from high school to college let me give you some advice when you're in high school if you're in junior high you whatever you at make yourself educate yourself your priority in life as a Young Man a young woman is to become educated don't be like everybody else bu you know you don't have to be a hood rat guys and girls you don't have to be that way you ain't got to be some old nasty sorry old trailer trash you take you take some pride it but listen your pride that you need to take every day is yourself value yourself because you are valuable and whatever wherever you at you need to start learning things studying things and guess what yeah there them you going just fail at take it again get a tutor read every book read books that that PR into that book because if you get out of the high school and don't have any offers and you might have to walk on or whatever work ass you you know you're gonna have to you're gonna have to make grades in college and a lot of these top players you watch them they'll fall back out of high school back down to the juk co community colleges yeah they'll go to that Alabama they'll go to that Oregon or they'll go go to that UCLA or you know Texas somewh they'll go there they'll make it they got the talent to make it the size to make it and everything but they cannot pass in school that's the thing and they cannot cover up for you the NCAA will no longer allow that so what do they do they say well do we just let them go and people say wait a minute wait a minute I'm signing a fouryear scholarship it's year let me tell you I sign me one too you have to make you got to make sure you make the team every year you get you got to have your grades high up for first thing they look every single time if I'm G to invest any more in this kid can he make his grades and if you can't they're gonna Turn You Loose if you to the same way they do with kids with injuries D you might stay there and get an education at the school but you won't be on the football team hey real quick pops real quick pops a Tennessee fan he call he he he is Mr fire ball he's got to fire over him baby he said Tennessee is the real reason think s retired don't let let let nobody tell you different he said uh Tennessee is going to the National Championship this year brother oh oh I found out something on my little research of uh of Arkansas he also said Brett faf says go voles baby hey guess who coing guess who's coaching AR Arkansas basketball next year who you got calip Perry who is it calip oh get out of town yep what made him go to arkans all I money money money money money money money no I tell you why he man brother I tell you why he let Kenny Payne go he let Kenny P get away from Kentucky and they was nobody to recruit Kenny Payne one of the best Recruiters in basketball in the country and I was I was uh blessed to play ball with him in junior high in high school and and uh he had you know he's he's a real good recruiter he's at L Louisville now trying to rebuild that program uh that's where he played ball he won a national championship while he was at Louisville play it but uh yeah calip Perry I just think he couldn't get over the hill you know if you think back in the last few years they've lost they've been one and done a few times yeah Fireball said uh Kentucky messed up by getting rid of Cal now they're goingon to pay for it they probably telling the truth listen if Tennessee Tennessee's got to worry about about Georgia nobody else that's the way I look at it if they and they gota they gotta put it on when they play Georgia but I think Tennessee's got it rolling again they got they got some things going real good over there so who was [Music] it is going by the way but yeah a couple things maybe get Kenny since he's such a smoo talker can for Edwards sign maybe LSU or something you know foot out whatever he was doing but if Mall's gone and TJ Finley's gone I think I mean hey Tate might be top one two three I mean again on paper and talent alone but that goes back to the debate what's more exp what's more important experience or talent I think at the quarterback position experienced M he's got a little bit with at this point what he's got n games he's playing yeah Mark you asked me a while ago experience or Talent uh I I'm G to say experience U I mean I I had Talent you know to get to the D1 level had Talent probably move up you know leaving more but I just had battled so many injuries in college but I had a crap load of experience and even though I played on bad knees bad ankles and and you know I played a cast on my right leg my right foot the last two seasons I played ball I getting shot up with quarters uh that stuff you know left or right but with the experience I had even though I was I played a lot of talented people that was way far talented when I was you know when I wouldn't hurt and uh my experience like when I got around that junior year that that senior year you know these little hot shot freshman big guys they br into the league oh man I'd make them want to go home to mama you know I just gained the extra weight I six I'm 610 and I went from when I started getting hurt and I seen it you know I was going to have problems playing if I was going to play I had to get stronger and I had to get heavier and so I put another 40 pounds of muscle on and played at 285 my senior year and I just literally didn't care I wouldn't clock you I'd catch you where you wouldn't looking and I'd lay you out and I'd pop a nod on your head I didn't care I was going to get a technical fou per game I averaged that for the last two years I played ball and I take pride in that simp simpy and Pops look I gotta get up early for work let me just um say also just to finish off on MJ Daniels and his passing you know he had the funeral this past weekend and I heard um LAN the Old Miss coach and uh Jackson D the starting quarterback for Old Miss were there at the funeral so that's pretty cool and I will say this even though uh pops was talking about SEC School Arkansas and y'all always joke with me about LSU my wife went to LSU and I live in the state like simpy we hear about all the time I'll tell y'all right now I think Miss is gonna be in the the playoffs they the foot the oldest football team is in position with an experience quarterback to make a run this year I know a lot of Southern Miss fans might not want to hear that I'm just that's the question look y'all going after look what I'm saying is um what a good show to get back we we're getting after it and look uh this is just the second show back this season the season four uh season four of the sippy Sports show could be season five I got to double check what season we own I I I know I've never started saying oh this is season so and so but we're at that point now to where we've been doing this for a while now right Fellers and uh I think it's time to start putting seasons on this thing and kind of organizing it a little bit better and that's kind of what we're doing this season uh you're already seeing it in these first two episodes a little bit more organization I know we're all over the place but that's just how we are with the live show all right there he's 6'5 and all every bit of it all on it Dylan Lawrence and that defense going to go I mean they gonna be after and they got even more reason to play now and that's I'm being honest man they got a lot to play for MJ MJ wants to boy MJ wants this team to succeed I believe that MJ wants that defense to shut down you know you know not shut down the B shut down the offense right uh I just it's going to be a season to remember and that's and that look guys that's whether to remember remember us going to the conference champ or that's he season to remember coach Hall getting left so we going to get after it but hey I I I I do want to say one thing before I get off here here we want coach Hall to do well because that means Southern Miss wins football games right I think I speak for everyone I don't I don't mind coach Hall getting an extension if he's winning the football games he's supposed to win right I mean come on guys if he does what he does you know does what he's supposed to do right while we hired him to bring back Southern Miss like he said he would if he does that and and guys we got every reason to believe he will people say no we don't I believe we do if if history repeats himself he went bad the first year bowl game the second year bad the third year maybe bowl game again I mean I'm just saying I'm I don't know I I'm I'm hopeful I'm hopeful folks and I feel like you should be too I love my golden eagles and I hope you love your team right uh whether that's the North Dakota State Bison whether that's the tene vs baby or if that's a dog on [ __ ]
