about something new in your career leader of the king of the mountain competition but three days ago you told us you were not interested in that at all what has changed yeah good question uh even this morning I was not interested in it but uh then I saw Kaden Groves going in uh going in early Breakaway and uh he's still an opponent for the green jersey so I decided to make the jump and and uh once I found myself in the Breakaway I yeah anyway I knew it would be a hard day so then it was better to to try and grab everything that was on the road so uh uh sometimes in the tour I was also close to to being leader in the pka do Jersey and I actually kind of regret that I never really tried it so uh today yeah was a good day to to go for it and I'm uh I'm really proud to we it at some stage were you also going for the stage win uh to be be honest I never believed that it was possible especially with uh also Riders like fine mcti and and woods in the front group I knew they were way better on the Steep uphill finish um and also yeah I was too much focused on all the intermediate points uh the intermediate Sprint and Al all the mountain points on the road so yeah there I wasted too much energy to uh to compete on the final climb but as long as this uh gradients below uh let's say 6 7% I can CL climb quite well but when it's steep then I have no chance but tomorrow is a better opportunity yeah tomorrow is a good uh good stage where uh yeah where we definitely want to try to survive the climbs and uh yeah we'll see if that's possible
