[Music] ugly so from the beginning when Steve talked about what the he wanted the Halo board to achieve he insisted that it needed to educate in addition to entertain just just so you understand how big that rendition not the little one that I didn't like 47 ft by 27 ft 47 ft wide 27 ft tall and I hope you agree it was it was pretty good looking pretty good looking all right we're going to slow slly reveal what we got here but number two is the Coach's Corner this is game Feed oh I should have turned around taking a look next Up's Coach's Corner next up let's take a look at Coach's Corner we wanted to have a place where you really could provide statistics go deep really be there for the uh for the more serious if you will basketall fans I I get very frustrated I'll tell you particularly where I get frustrated is and don't don't quote me on this I get frustrated in a one Arena that is closer to my home than most and I won't say what that is but it's so hard for me to to find the stats let alone to look at them let alone to see everything I might want so maybe we could do better than that should we take a look at Coach's Corner yeah let's do it let's see what we got coach is corner you can see we can provide the classic Team statistics points breakdown we can provide you a shot chart right in the middle of the game uh we can change things shooting percentage pace of game how fast are we getting up and down the floor what's the average time before the ball goes up how much of the shot clock are we using Forever This is a canvas this is something on which the software can paint and if we hear from fans oh we really want to see I don't know how far this is one of my favorite new ideas I haven't even told you this let's take a look at how hard the refs have worked today well our refs ran six miles during the course of the game you might get a little more appreciation for the ref that way or you want to you know find out uh you know in the last play that was run it was Kawai and tman and in a pick and roll situation how often do we run it how well guarded as that is you know what have other teams done against it we have this area on which we can paint that kind of depth statistic if that's what our fans want here we show you there we were showing you some of the with the statea team right now yeah I I I think it's I loved having the four La guys last year I love having the two La guys for this coming year but to have that sense of connection in a historical growing up way uh particularly you know well two great players two Hall of Fame players uh I think it's really special and you know good connection I'll even tell you another this small connection I think this is right you correct me uh Bruno Mars was born in Hawaii where was the first place he lived when he moved to the mainland gilan Englewood Englewood California so to have that connection between kind of the Stars whether it's you know Brun Mars or kawhai or uh James it's cool I mean it's kind of you know gives the place a little bit extra heart a little bit extra Soul uh I think we're going to have a good team this year uh you know we'll see how good good we are I I like our guys I like how hard we're going to compete and uh we'll see we'll see how far we go but you know I like where we are right now obviously very different team uh you know changes in players but I like I like where we are and I like you know the team that's going to open this building for us production on the floor absolutely uh I think our our team puts all the pressure in the world on itself guys want to win guys want to scrap guys want to fight we're all fight fight for wins uh we're and we're looking for that kind of guy that's how we think about our team our team character you know we we'll be a little more like that some years a little less because we're always trying to get the most Talent will this put more pressure I I don't really think so I think our guys you know are all in they're always all in the thing I ask myself is can you know from from a game perspective can our fans do just a little extra to help our team when I first you know uh purchased the the ball club uh I asked our players like do you care about fan noise ah we don't care about fan noise doesn't make any difference we don't pay any attention to it then the pandemic came the bubble and then the pandemic I ask players again how is it without any noise oh not everybody but gosh I really don't like it it's almost like going to some of the Olympic Games where there's no fans of either side in the building and so the concept isn't put pressure the concept is Provide support encouragement energy the stuff fans can provide so while we're all here to serve the fans and the team on the floor is what it's all about out I also want to ask our fans put pressure on yourself to help help the the guys who are who are doing the job for us every day about what I wanted I just gave my opinion I like big screens so you can see a lot of information that's important to me I don't like those little corner boards you sometimes have to look at particularly if you're sitting Courtside which are most expensive seats uh I wanted boards that are crisp when you look at the old boards and you see those old big fat pixels that are hard to look at I I didn't want any of that I really wanted also because of the size let's figure out how to get stats out there let's figure out how to engage the fan that's what I wanted yeah and you know I didn't know I didn't know what to do well I remember these are great these are great but I remember you said you love the Dallas Cowboys uh uh screen scre for like the size of it that you felt like you could offer a lot of information on that but that you also felt like you might have been distracted by a little a little bit and you didn't want that you wanted a board that would augment the game you wanted to make sure that we had Clear Sight lines from every single seat and you wanted the bowl to be intimate so you wanted to make sure that the board helped with that and this board we've discovered really helps make the building smaller so I think none of the options we showed in the meeting were really what you wanted and then Bill showed you the first rendering of the Halo yeah it was interesting I took a look at it and I thought this is weird uh I had seen one uh that I you know at Sofi hadd seen one of these things that goes around but basketball it was it was just weird to me what the heck are we going to do with this thing and I guess I gave you did I give you a response can't remember yeah you you did give us a response I don't you said three words because you looked at it and you were like I first I think I first resp SM like oh this is weird then it sort of grew on me I asked a little bit what it cost I was getting my mind around it and I said make it bigger yeah we made it a lot bigger uh with the state of the team right now yeah I I I think it's I loved having the four La guys last year I love having the two La guys for this coming year year but to have that sense of connection in a historical growing up way uh particularly you know well two great players two Hall of Fame players uh I think it's really special and you know good connection I'll even tell you another just small connection I think this is right you correct me uh Bruno Mars was born in Hawaii where was the first place he lived when he moved to the mainland Gillian Englewood Englewood California so to have that connection between kind of the Stars whether it's you know Bruno Mars or kawhai or James it's cool I mean it's kind of you know gives the place a little bit extra heart a little bit extra Soul uh I think we're going to have a good team this year I you know we'll see how good we are I I like our guys I like how hard we're going to compete and uh we'll see we'll see how far we go but you know I like where we are right now obviously very different team uh you know changes in players but I like I like where we are and I like you know the team that's going to open this building for [Applause] us so here's what's really cool there's a lot more to see so um next I wanted to uh take you all through our player 360 but before I do let's let's welcome to the stage our man Teran age height wingspan size of his shoe statistics congratulations on winning the Bob laner Community assist Awards I don't know if you all know but Terrence won this award for his giving back into the community which we think is fantastic uh you get a little bit of sense there's there's quite a bit we can do now I think you been in doing a lot this summer haven't you in terms of really investing in the community your camps Etc why don't you tell us just a minute about that yeah so basically I have a foundation um you know we try to help get kids scholarships into prep schools we try to help kids get into camps uh we try to do a bunch of fundraisers to raise money to get them into those opportunities and it's just basically something I wanted to do ever since I was younger like I always told myself when I get to the NBA this is what I'm going to do I'm going to give the kids in my community opportunity to play basketball every day all day um and just have an opportunity to play college basketball and that's basically what my Foundation is is based around giving kids that kids that opportunity um my mom does a great job running it we're excited about it we have a fashion show on August 15th in L Massachusetts to get the kids into fashion so uh we got a bunch of different opportunities and we're excited about it 3 2 1 mi [Applause] we have our winner we we we shut that off on you guys at some point [Music] [Music]
