so about Taeil...

so I don't have a script for this my first unscripted video in a while um because I I wasn't planning on talking about this but there's like something that I need to get off my chest so here we are I have other content planned I promise and it's coming soon I just I feel like I need to talk about this so tail has been relieved from his contract duties he's no longer a part of NCT SM let him oh actually I was going to say SM let him go but that's not the same thing there's a difference between SM letting him go and him not being a part of NCT anymore so he's no longer part of NCT and the reason is that he's currently being investigated over a sexual crime we don't know what the details of the crime are there's a lot of speculations people are talking about a 12-year-old getting involved sexual assault there there's just a bunch of things being thrown around but nothing is official yet but what we do know is that he is being investigated that is official and that the crime is of aexual nature um it also came out that he was booked in June which means that this investigation has been going on for a while now and SM only you know ended his contract with NCT just a few days ago or something like that representative came out saying I think it was yesterday came out saying that nobody in SM knew about this until mid August and that that's you know when they planned on releasing him and that they did it quickly that's a little hard to believe if I'm going to be honest I see a lot of people believing it but that's a little hard to believe because a the idea that tail was booked and was being investigated without anyone in SM knowing about it sounds almost impossible if I'm going to be honest it's hard to believe that nobody knew the managers someone at the top PR teams like just the idea that they had no idea is crazy because you know sometimes during investigations you randomly get a phone call and they'll be like we need you at the police station we want to ask you some questions and for him to be going in and out without anybody seeing him seeing pictures whatever that would be a little hard if the company wasn't kind of trying to make sure they kept the whole thing Hush Hush so I'm not sure I believe them when they say they only found out about this mid August I think they're doing this to just wash their hands clean and the reason why I say that is because for them to let him go one of two things must have happened either a a big news Outlet got wind of this and they wanted to report on it and SM wanted to be the first ones to break the news so that it wouldn't look bad on their image AG or B during the investigation process somewhere evidence came out that was undeniable and decided to let him go and at first I thought it would be the second option it made more sense but then I realized that he still has his SM contract so his contract with NCT has been savored but it seems as if he's still listed as an artist under SM which would mean that contract has not been ended yet and I don't think think it's because there's complications or anything like that I doubt that so everybody is upset obviously and I think it's completely natural to be shocked I get that this is South Korea and probably part of the reason why this is so upsetting is because there's another situation happening in South career right now and it's pretty big I don't know if people are trying to keep this under wraps because for some crazy reason when this whole thing with sha exploded as much as I'm not happy with what he did and yes I do think it was irresponsible it just felt odd how blown out of proportion this whole thing was news stations were out here lying and claiming he did things that he didn't do that he lied and the whole thing was being so manipulated and I kept wondering why does this feel like they're trying to cover up something else because this is not the first time we've had some Scandal that everyone was so focused on they didn't realize that something else was happening in South Korea I don't know if that's the case that's just my opinion and so for this to come out about tail during this situation it's really frustrating and the reason why I wanted to make this video is to emphasize to K-pop stands that this is not about you this is not about your personal feelings into this I am so sick and tired of going on social media seeing people tearing up photo cards and making this about some ridiculous fan War like this is a gotcha moment people saying oh you need to investigate the whole group because this and that because of their personal feelings when it comes to NCT as a group I don't know how to say this except shut the [ __ ] up seriously shut your mouth this is not about you and your 15 minutes of fame you know tearing up photo cards and doing all of this the level of obsession with clout is very strange and it's sick another thing that I've noticed is GI Idol fans talking about nude and like this is exactly what they were talking about this song was so necessary and they got so much hate and whatnot it's like this is not time for your fake activism okay I understand that K-pop stands cannot help it whenever there is a situation outside of K-pop they bring the sense of activism to act like they care about those issues when in reality what you're trying to do is push an agenda for popularity for your faves and this is not about that there is a victim in this situation okay and it's so frustrating that in just a short amount of time this has become less and less about a victim of sexual assault and people are busy sitting around and talking about you know investigate the whole group and we need to do that look at me tearing up this photo card oh my God the best day of my life like really the best day of your life is tearing up a photo card I mean someone is in excruciating pain like you realize how hard it is in a world where Society or Social Power um has a lot of influence for someone to be brave enough and say hey this member of this extremely popular and respected group did this to me for you guys to sit around and make it about yourselves it just shows the lack of I don't even know what to call it empathy common sense I don't know what it is that you guys lack but clearly you lack something because this is not about you and this is not not about your stupid little fan Wars this is not about trying to one up each other in comment sections and like and have viral tweets and viral moments it's not about that someone's life was destroyed okay and I don't think some of you realize how disastrous sexual assault is any of you who have been through situations like this you know how bad it is and for people to sit around here and make it some activism moment for their faves I'm not saying that there was anything wrong with gido releasing nude I'm not saying that GI Idol's nude did not have an amazing message because it did and I think it was Brave to make a song like that when you're a group in South Korea believe me I understand the significance of that song and the meaning behind it but for people to be like this is what we're talking about and what no stop that please stop that there's victims here and what they need is your support and right now the women in South Korea they're kind of depending on International support because the men in the in that country are walking around defending them I mean the the comments I have seen with hundreds and thousands of likes talking about how women are doing too much to try and get you know um human rights which is like crazy I cannot believe in 2024 people are still saying things like this it's really difficult for the women there and what we need is to be a supporting sounding board spreading information about what's going on educating people on what's going on okay and not using this as a moment to get into arguments and get into fight the level of performative activism that is in K-pop is sick I'm actually writing an essay on it but sometimes situations in K-pop loose steam you wonder why some people never take things seriously it's because of moments like this where we take something that is supposed to be incredibly serious and very important and we make it about ourselves it's not about you for five minutes can you not have your head so far up your ass that you find a way to make things about you it's not about you talking about well if you didn't stand NCT then you shouldn't be talking about this this is bigger than just NCT this is bigger than that and if you had some sort of common sense you would be able to recognize that so all I'm asking okay is for us to remember that there's a victim in all of this who needs Justice who took an incredibly Brave and difficult step to report an incredibly popular Idol for doing something like this to them once you realize the weight of being able to do that in a country where popularity power and influence can make you get away with almost anything I think you guys will realize that what this victim needs and right now it's not fa Wars it's not gotcha moments it's not army versus um end citizens it's not that just shut up for 2 minutes and quite frankly if you're incapable of seeing this situation for what it is just be quiet I promise you the world is not going to shatter if you don't tweet about this the world's not going to fall apart apart if you don't talk about this okay we can survive without your opinion because if you're not going to help to the greater good of this issue I don't see the point of you saying something and that's that's all I wanted to say just get over yourselves please honestly just get over yourselves this is not about you it's about the victim okay she is the one who In This Moment her voice and her needs should be the loudest not your need for clout and your need for attention that's not the most important thing here just shut up yeah that's what I wanted to say
