Joe flacko has a really really interesting perspective he is 39 years old going to be 40 or maybe he's 40 already but anyway as you get closer to the end of your career rather than on the front end when you're a rookie you're trying to make it you're trying to establish yourself you're trying to get that second contract you're doing all of that stuff Joe flacko is at a point now where he really appreciates being out here and doing what he's doing on a daily basis really interesting to hear Joe Black's perspective on exactly that might change your perspective uh I feel like I'm getting reminded every day of how fortunate I am to kind of be out here and playing football and having fun meeting new people um because everybody's just like all these young guys on the team are always looking up at you and saying man what year is this how old are you so you're just constantly reminded and it's honestly it's a good thing cuz like I I think you need those reminders every now and then that that show you how lucky you are to be able to play this game I mean it it's just been a lot of fun what's it like been being in the room with Anthony what have you seen from him just having spend time yeah Anthony I mean listen he's not going to give you much in terms of uh in terms of how much he's going to you know maybe stray from uh football in the meetings and and and kind of you know just shoot the breeze here and there he's a he's a good kid and and and he's an awesome athlete so it's it's been a lot of fun it's it's a great room everybody in there has been great so it's been a lot of fun with those guys what have you seen working with gold so far yeah you know what uh early on in Spring there was a couple times where I threw him some deep routes and and we didn't connect and then for whatever reason after that it it just seemed to we just seem to hit our stride together and like and when I'm not in there and I'm watching him just the little quick releases that he does and then how he gets up the full speed really fast I think he's doing an awesome job I know you have to miss the one practice to go to funeral what did he mean you a team I don't know if I can think of a better teammate you know in terms of just what he created for that locker room um the Outlook that he had on just life and football um special special person um I can still I can still just picture him you know standing right here next to me kind of where you are as the defense is on the field and on a Wednesday and we're servicing them and and the music comes on he's doing whatever he's doing over here he's doing one of his dances and just getting the whole team going uh yeah I think you'll hear a lot of that from everybody that you would talk to that's played with him it's just the kind of personality he had and the way he lit up a room and uh the type of locker room that he really created he was a he was a big big time responsible for that environment and um you know he he's going to be missed uh it's always tough when when when stuff like that happens to people but you know when it when it hits that close to you it's definitely he will be missed Metro flacko what a what a cool individual he doesn't get upset about things does he like he is as as cool as the other side of the pillow as Stuart Scott used to say and and maybe the perfect guy to help Anthony Richardson Plum his potential I I think Joe flacko is absolutely the right guy in the right place for this team and the right Young quarterback
