South Wales League 1 women's might not be long before we see her in New southw npl or a league her coach says she has a quiet and humble demeanor and gets her work done without any fuss no doubt the up against Fourth Place St George FC their standings mean little as St George fourth last year and went on to win the championship they very often seem to be the Dark Horse St George their last encounter saw them beat the Raiders uh by four goals to one so I'm sure that the Raiders will be on high alert for today's match we wish both teams the best of luck but obviously the focus here for christova was able to save a penalty she statistically is the best goalkeeper in the competition this season she has the most clean sheets and she's conceded the least amount of goals 19 with hills keeper Sarah East Hope can she save this penalty now it's a big ask against the leading goal scorer [Music] [Applause] AO and she does save she is unbelievable Renee christova [Applause] wow wow and that is why she is statistically the best goalkeeper in football New South Wales League 1 women's I don't need to speak her actions show just how good she [Music] is coincidentally I had a lovely talk with Renee week head coach Ben goof allowed me to interview her we were on the phone for a lengthy conversation she has an amazing personality she's a fantastic human as well as a talented goalkeeper and I'll share her thoughts a bit later but let's get back to the excitement here Karen Bennett chasing goes out so bankstown get the throwin hit a bank toown player so Mount Jtown Rangers with the throw [Music] in Emily Co with the throw in for the Rangers Hara intervenes and gets possession back for Bank toown Cino here we go with her dangerous skills gets it back to Hara stopped by Mount Dru and they will force a corner so bankstown City momentum seems to have shifted Mount dreu began with more possession in the first part of this half and now it seems to have switched to bankstown [Music] the corner is in headed Away by the Rangers Hera but again kicked Away by Mount Dru and the foul will go to mount Dru Caitlyn Campbell looks like she's going to kick long and Lena caras is Isabella Williams and Holly Pender she as I mentioned has the most clean sheets in the comp and has conceded the least goals with Sarah East Hope quite incredible only 19 the entire season Renee has lots of praise for the Rangers backline stating she believes they are the best in the comp and they've helped her [Music] stats Banks toer away on the left Caitlyn Campbell does well gets it back to Holly Williams Jabor to [Music] co Rene julis Hara does well stopped by Rosie Galia back with Jaris turns over possession to bankstown now with aino Ceno dribbling down the middle is there for Mount J Jaris Galia T Flavin Lena Comas heads up for Rita bang oneon-one with the keeper thas has a second go but that was a very beautiful save by KY seic unfortunately I wasn't able to speak with head coach ante kovic uh this week I know he would have been super focused on this match but I have spoken to him in the past and he states that KY seic she's the third choice keeper for the Western Sydney Wanderers and she's a diamond in the rough she has great confidence and aggression he said second to none has a very bright future so that's a pretty big Accolade for the bankstown goalkeeper from a for Saro goalkeeper so the mount Dru Town Rangers with a throwin he's just been asked to take it back a little headed by julis but the bank Town Defenders are there Kaitlyn Campbell does well [Music] again still with her get the crossing for Garis but there's a bit much on it so seich is there to pick it up couldn't quite be controlled by Karen Bennett so it goes out and mount drew it with the it yellow and green side have broken the deadlock Lena commas captain of this team she SP spoken of very highly by her head coach and teammates she finished up the second place competitions goal scorer on 28 goals she's been an asset to her team around according to head coach Ben go some of her teammates that I spoke to she has the experience leadership and talent which is a big reason why the team has achieved so remarkably this season according to her teammates and coach she's only just coming back from injury sustained a few weeks ago as well when I spoke with Renee she credits kasas for being a huge influence as a friend Mentor teammate and role model she says her mentality and drive is special she's a born leader bankstown Jabor for the Rangers C to Galia Co again down the left for julis but it's out so we're still waiting on a start for the SD Raiders St George match so we're probably not going to know who will be second Grand finalist for next week by the end of this match so I have no updates to provide apologies you were waiting on that but good that you can focus on this game for now because it is an exciting one as I knew it would [Music] be Bano for bankstown aino own right and an absolute asset to the town Rangers and football New South Wales League 1 women's no doubt her a league experience holds her in good stead as a winner she also played for the young the PFC he couldn't have asked for a better start as new coach to aide he was faced with a tough task the Rangers finished mid-table last year and bottom of the table the year before that so he's done a great amount of work in a short time his aspiration for the team preseason was to finish in the top three and for first grade and 20s to play finals football this is only the only Club in the new South WS League one women to have both first grade and under 20s play finals football so again fabulous but the club last week was crowned Club Champions and they have received promotion to the New South Wales National Premier League for season 2025 a huge congrats to Ben his coaching staff the players in the club what an achievement it is the first time the Rangers women's team has been promoted to the New South Wales npl so that is super exciting for all involved not only is it a huge year but it's also a huge day for head coach bof today we wish him happy semi-finals day happy Father's Day and a happy birthday wow so many emotions I'm sure I'm sure he'd be a good mood to this point but we still have a whole second half coming up and nothing's given especially with the caliber of banks town City they are a quality side Karen Bennett for bankstown Maya Miller also given Praise by her coach anovich when we spoke not long ago she's 16 years old but he says she plays like an experienced first grader her confidence is that of an adult and she he believes she's a star of the future he says there's something about Maya There She is again gets back possession for the variety of reasons and opportunities so six original players stayed and the rest has been made up of 20s many 16 year olds and they've performed exceptionally well to finish third that's a brilliant effort they are a quality side like I said we still have a second half of football to go they're tough but ATI knows this match up with the Rangers is never an easy one I suspect the reason I wasn't love if you've watched all the teams this season I'm sure that you'll agree with me there's been some wonderful matches and results I really feel proud and honored to be associated with all the teams and players I've called this season thank you to the players for all they've provided to the league and for us viewers entertainment these players train and play with full-time jobs and back it all up again Monday morning they also like the rest of us and have lots of personal things going on and carry out all their duties to a professional standard so it's no easy feet coming here every Sunday training couple of times a week especially physically also like to take this opportunity to especially thank bankstown City admin head Denise Henson on her professionalism and assistance throughout
