so many things have happened to me over these past 3 days I'm questioning if I made the right choices or if I'm the one to blame for what happened but I keep looking back at it and I just didn't see another way so I want to share my story from the beginning for those that don't know me my name is Noah boat R I am a 225b division one linebacker living the dream I've been documenting my football Journey from high school to all the way to college to rough practices to everything to inspire others to play football I was faced with these two choices social media or football I had to pick between two I don't feel like it was fair that I had to pick I've invested so much time into social media and as well as that into football for the past 3 months I felt like I was walking with egg shells for anything that I could possibly do there was always something that could be brought up about it and then I made a viral video and that was the final straw that unraveled everything in this video I'm going to be explaining everything that happened from the backlash of a 12-second cleup I hope that sharing this video can Inspire others and show them that even when something big happens in your life and you feel like you're down you can always push forward so let's dive to why I ended up packing up leaving my division one school the school that I've always worked for and transferring and completely moving from my division one college that I was playing in this is my road to D1 college football part two I was living the dream as a D1 linebacker everything was going great everything that I've worked for my whole entire life I've documented my entire football Journey from high school to college to rough practices every moment of my life I've documented on social media and it was mainly to inspire others to start football pick up a sport or try something new however sharing my journey on social media led to me being an outcast the criticism I faced in my coaches was unlike anything that I've ever faced before normally the hate from social media never got to me I mean hate comments was just always something that came with the game but it hits different when it comes from your coaches and this whole scenario led me between choosing between football and social media which was a pretty unfair choice for the past 3 months I was training on campus getting better at football and posting like I usually do then my coaches told me to cut back on social media because all the negative comments that I was getting on my videos because they thought that it would distract the players I didn't really think it was a big deal so I just kept posting that's when things completely started to go wrong my coaches began criticizing me calling me names and as well as that using my post against me they started monitoring my every move waiting for me to slip up even when I made some mistakes at practice trust me I'm not perfect they would say post that on social media jabbing at me often times I was called cringy and I was just labeled as the tick tocker now guys I am not here to give you a sob story and say ooh they hurt my feelings I mean I'm not a chump I'll still be grinding every single day to improve my myself it's the next step that was absolutely crazy they started to try to take control of what and when I was posting they wanted me to choose between social media and football but it just didn't feel right at all it's almost like they were just waiting on me to make a big mistake where they could just bring me down and unfortunately guys they got their big mistake recently I posted a 12 second video that got over 2 million views in 1 hour now I'm not going to show you what this video is but it's recently been taken down if you know you know I realized that I made a a big mistake and as well as that I saw a bunch of other creators make it even football players and it was just a edgy joke and all of a sudden I didn't really expected to happen but it went Mega viral it caught the attention of the college advisors and as well as at the coaches and they were completely Furious I remember just sitting down in the dining hall enjoying a regular chicken burrito and all of a sudden I got a call from my coach the first thing that he said when I got on that call was you're done that hit me hard because football is something I've worked for my whole entire life my stomach literally dropped and then I asked like why he just started talking about how bad the video was that I just posted and then he began to say from now on don't post on social media you have to choose football or social media I immediately apologized I deleted the video and then right after that I said I cannot quit social media I've spent years of hard work building it up and then he told me that it didn't matter I still had to choose and then hung up the phone I was sitting there contemplating on it my body was sweating I mean I lost all color out of my face and then my teammates were asking what happened and I told them how I had to choose and they just thought it wasn't fair I wasn't the only one if I quit social media everything that I built would be completely gone I can't just take a break for 4 years it just doesn't work like that I'm trying to launch a new pre-workout for athletes called Sigma juice and if I abandoned social media that means I abandoned my business and as well as at my product but football I mean I've grinded my whole entire life for this moment and you're telling me that one video is going to take it all away I asked myself these questions for a long time should I leave social media for football why why does it have to be one or the other why can't it be both I called my coach back and told him that I was really sorry for the mistake I made and I told him that I deleted it and asked him if I really had to choose he said Hey listen Noah you're just parading around acting like some character that you're really not all you care about is social media not football then I appied back saying that's not true I mean truthfully I started social media where I could go fulltime into football because at one point in my life I had to work several nine-to-five jobs they were taking away time from football then he got irritated and asked how much I made from social media I told him a number he got offended and he said I shouldn't be making as much money as I should be making and that what has our economy come to then he goes on to ask me what are you here for to play football or just be the 225lb linebacker the cringe Tik tocker that I regret recruiting then he goes on to say I feel youed Noah I feel as if you're just using us to make a profit off social media you care nothing about football I then tell him that football is my life it is everything that I've been working on why why would I not care about football with the amount of time and effort I put into it I told him that I took the video down and I told him that I was sorry at this point guys my coach is very frustrated and I understand the frustration that he's going through getting multiple calls from the advisor especially what after I posted but I feel as if he crossed the line saying some stuff that he did it just revealed to me what they really thought about me then he goes on to say that my athletic or pathetics are dumb the people that participated in are stupid as well for those that don't know my athletic or pathetic videos are videos where I rap football players athletic ability and as well as that physiques the name is just there to grab your attention and as well as that just give you tips and how to improve yourself as a football player I mean that's the game of social media have a good hook in the beginning and just entertain the rest of the way and it just seems like my coach didn't get it and kept bashing me over and over even though that I explained it to him multiple times he then asked me why on Earth would you post that 12 second clip I told him that it was just a dark joke I didn't really mean any harm by it and as well that I saw other football creators and other influencers post it so I just hopped on the trend he then said a dark joke Noah that got 1.5 million views in about 1 hour and it just goes to show how messed up everything is with everybody on their phone on Tik Tok all day but the video is gone I don't know what you want from me he then goes on to bash my football maxing School Community for those who don't know I made a football maxing School Community back in July it helps athletes out it gives them their diet nutrition as well as at workouts to help athletes grow and progress theirself because so many of my followers ask how to get better he then goes on and says says are you really helping anybody no what you're doing is not helping anybody it's hurting people he basically just puts down everything that I built or done and we just ended the call on mixed feelings he says that this is not going to work out and even thinks about unrecruited me then he apologized for being so harsh and so fired up at the moment while I felt better that I could stay on the team I still felt terrible at the end of the day I made a big mistake but this call really showed me how they really feel about me but guys if for being honest there was so much that went on the conversation that I'm not even talking about they weren't even really going to play me I ended the call still barely being on the team and I mean barely at this point I thought the storm calmed down and I was like how could this get any worse the next day I got another call with my coach and he told me to turn in all my stuff all my gear and that I could possibly be the team manager and just record games if you like recording yourself so much you'll love recording the games of the players I was like completely shocked I got off the phone and I was thinking to myself water B boy cameraman manager that's not me I came here to play football and if I'm not playing football this place is not for me I'll make it D1 another way I packed up my bags and decided to leave I was tired of the insults I was tired of the verbal abuse I was just completely done with it and now I'm transferring to a new college in Florida and I'm going to grind my way back all the way to the top I'm going to prove everybody wrong and make it back where I belong so this is my road to D1 part two I'm committed to showing that this tick tocker will make it I will keep pushing no matter what obstacle gets my
