welcome to the first of the 2024 presidential debates between Donald Trump and kamla Harris Let's Get Right to our first question what is your vision for America this campaign is about two different Visions for our nation one where we are focused on the future the other focused on the past I think it's very important for us at every moment in time and certainly this one to see the moment in time in which we exist and are present and to be able to contextualize it to understand where we exist in the history and in the moment as it relates not only to the past but the future I really don't know what she said I don't think she knows what she said either under our leadership the United States will be respected again no Nation will question our power no enemy will doubt our might our borders will be Totally Secure our economy will soar we will return Law and Order to our streets patriotism to our schools and importantly we will restore peace stability and Harmony all throughout the world everything is in context my mother used to she would give us a hard time sometimes and she would say to us I don't know what's wrong with you young people you think you just fell out of a coconut tree well I actually agree with that I agree with everything she said now Vice President Harris you have defended Biden in his capability as president do you take back what you have said given the circumstances I have served with President Biden um for almost four years now and I'll tell you it's one of the greatest honors of my career he is so smart America is a nation that can be defined in a single word I was in the foot him foot excuse me the foothills of the Himalayas with xiin ping a concern of the American people is that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer how will you strengthen the middle class just look at how we are running our campaigns so Donald Trump is relying on support from billionaires and big corporations on the other hand we are running a people powerered campaign oh big theme Here is that they're going to go after corporate gouging and they're going to go after corporations let me reveal a reality to you Greg look at the Ring of sweets okay those sweets start at 500 Grand they paid 500 700 a million a million and a half to have those seats they get hotel suites that are probably gifted to the party and they're going to take them down the nine most terrifying words words in the English language are I'm from the government and I'm here to help any closing thoughts for the debate tonight I'm the hero America wants and I'm the hero America needs I'm Batman
