DITV Sports: Brian Ferentz prepares for final game as Iowa Offensive coordinator

Brian ference's time as Iowa's offensive coordinator has been pretty shaky to say the least but before his final game as Iowa's OC he has made it very clear that he wants the attention to go back to the players on this very special team I think that this program is not about one person it never has been and it never will be right so I just feel fortunate that I've been a part of this place and I've been around the people that I've been around and had a chance to work with those people on a dayto day to coach players like Logan and a lot of guys that came before him to play with guys that came before him um it's not about one game it's not about winning it for anybody it's about doing doing things right doing them for Iowa football and that's where my focus is going to stay on Monday you know obviously it's going to be emotional you know you get to play for a guy like coach Brian it means a lot I mean you got a coach who who who will stop by and say hi to your mom you know have a conversation with her you know she'll come to me after the game and say how much that means to her so you know you have a guy like coach Brian who gets to come in and do that and just the type of man he is I means a lot to me I know it means a lot to my mom too I bet he does it with every you know player on the offensive side defensive side of the ball it just says a lot about him so yeah I think it's going to be very emotional game for us and you know we're going to go out there and try and play our best football and win or lose on New Year's Day against Tennessee Brian fence's time as Iowa's offensive coordinator will likely always be remembered by the Hawkeye faithful whether that be for Better or For Worse while Iowa still does have to look for a new offensive coordinator in 2024 there's still one final game in the Brian ference era and that'll be the Citrus Bull on New Year's Day from celebration High School in Orlando Florida Michael Merrick di TV sports
