Intro [Music] realme has a new mid-ranger with some decent cameras the real 13 Pro Plus but besides that what does this phone have going for it I'm will for GSM Marina and let's find out in a real me 13 Pro Plus [Music] Design and build quality review the realme 13 Pro Plus is a successor to the real 12 Pro Plus which came out less than a year before it there aren't a ton of changes here compared to the previous model but there is a new sensor on the telephoto Cam and an increase in battery capacity there's also a change in design the vegan leather of the previous two models is gone the realme 13 Pro Plus has a back made of glass and in this color way it features a sparkly frosted finish with what looks like waves underneath there's an emphasis on the cameras here with a large round camera bump and both the back and the front curve into a thin plastic frame making the phone feel quite Slim in the hand as before the realme 13 Pro Plus has Ingress Protection rated at ip65 there's some waterproofing but it's not meant to be submerged like on this predecessors the Display quality test display here is a curved 6.7 in OLED with a 1080p resolution and a 120 HZ refresh rate there has been an improvement in brightness this year we measured a maximum of around 660 nits with a manual slider which could boost to, 1400s in autom mode that's plenty for use outdoors in the Sun the 120 HZ refresh rate Smooths out movement on screen and is able to dial down to 60 HZ when idling to save a bit of energy and besides that the real 13 Pro Plus's display looks good sharp and contrasty and you can support for 10bit color there's no HDR video support here though for audio the phone has a pair of Speaker quality test stereo speakers with very good loudness the sound quality is good too with nice mids and some decent low [Music] end you can wake up and unlock the phone Under display fingerprint scanner & Storage options with an optical under display fingerprint reader it's quite responsive and you can get the real me 13 Pro Plus with 256 or 512 gigs of storage on board but that isn't expandable through micro SD the Android 14, Realme UI 5.0 interface of the phone is Real's latest real UI 5 running on top of Android 14 it's familiar if you've used a recent Oppo OnePlus or realme phone there have been some recent additions though the realme 13 Pro Plus introduces AI features which are so hot right now with a gesture you can get the AI features phone to scan the screen and highlight images and text for you to interact with and with AI smart Loop if you drag these items to the side you can drop them onto a carousel of apps for sharing or searching some apps have additional actions to choose from too there are also AI based options for editing in the gallery like the AI eraser which can remove something unwanted from a photo besides that if you want to find out more about real me y5 specific features you can check out our dedicated video the realme 13 Pro Plus runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 same chipset as its predecessor a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 it's also the same silicon you'd find within phones like the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion and the xiaomi redmi 13 Pro and in benchmarks this phone does about the same job as those Rivals as well as the Samsung Galaxy A35 it's nothing spectacular but pretty solid for the price and when it comes to Thermal Thermal chart management the real 13 Pro Plus does a good job getting through our prolonged stress test without heavy throttling the battery capacity here is Battery life and charging speed test a bit bigger than most competitors at 5200 Milah hours the battery life is good too Best in Class Even in our battery life tests the realme 13 contr plus earned an active use score of 13 hours and 39 minutes the phone comes with a super voke adapter in the box that's rated for up to 80 WS of charging power the charging isn't the fastest around but still we were able to charge the phone from 0 to 74% in half an hour and a full charge took 47 minutes now we have the cameras on the Main cameras back of the phone is a 50 map main cam a 50 map 3 times telephoto Cam and an 8 map Ultra wide camera Main camera: photo quality the main camera does a very good job during the day the photos come out with a contrasty look with expressive colors the detail is solid and the rendition is reasonably natural without excessive Sharpening at it when shooting people skin tones are generally looking lifelike and facial details are rendered well too in low light the main cam does a fine job you get excellent exposures with preserved highlights and well-developed darker areas there are no issues with wi balance and the color saturation remains Gray the detail is also hard to complain about now we have the three times Telephoto camera: photo quality telephoto camera it takes superb photos with excellent detail there's again a lot of contrast and the colors are again pleasantly saturated while the minimum focusing distance isn't too short you're able to get reasonably close to your subject shots of people with the zoom camera also look great and there's some natural separation from the background if you don't want to use portrait mode the telephoto cam also does a great job in low light the dynamic range is excellent and there's plenty of detail and now the ultra wide camera it Ultrawide camera: photo quality photos are nothing special but still okay for this sort of camera the detail is all right the dynamic range is wide enough and the colors look nice in low light the ultrawides photos come out soft but still the dynamic range is quite good and the color rendition is likable and now selfies from the 32 Selfie camera quality megap front-facing cam they're all right but we're not exactly fans if the auto HDR kicks in which is nearly always the photos have excessive sharpening if you disable the HDR then the detail looks better but then there's not enough contrast the real 13 Pro Plus can record Video quality video with this Main and telephoto Cam and up to 4K resolution at 30 FPS the quality is good detail is excellent the colors are likable and there's plenty of contrast however there is no support for electronic video stabilization in 4k the ultra wide doesn't have that problem it's video recording is limited to 1080p but the quality isn't great and here's a look at 4K video from the main cam at night the quality is good again we just wish there was stabilization so that's the realme 13 Conclusion Pro Plus it's a mid-ranger with a lot to like a bright and curved OLED display great battery life and decently fast charging also the cameras are great for the class you won't find a telephone to zoom with this sort of quality without spending a lot more money there are some nitpicks to be had arguably the largest one being the lack of E when recording 4K videos otherwise the real me 13 Pro Plus is a solid mid-range phone that's worth looking into thanks for watching guys here are some alternatives to check out on our channel the Samsung Galaxy A35 and the Motorola Edge 50 Pro let us know what you think and I'll see you on the next one
