[Music] name is1 Fernanda in Puerto Rico hello thank you so much for taking the time to talk about Blink twice and the first question I want to ask you soe said that when she was inspired to sort of sit down and write she thought of all sort of the silent unspoken conversations she she had with other women in rooms that powerful room so I wonder if that jumped out of you when you read the script that that sort of context because she does really smart things with genre but that that context make the the story special yes I think the M you know the when I first read it it was it really was a highlight of you know the misusage of power and also the illusion that power and money give right like it makes people feel safe for some reason um and that was really something that I kind of gravitated to at the beginning I was like oh that is interesting if someone is famous or if someone is you know well known or has a lot of money there's an immediate thing that causes safety and it's a really it's a Mis elution of safety and I think she she talks about it in this movie as well and then add to that the misusage of power all right so thank you for that so you got a first-time director but you got somebody who has been extremely talented as an actor and has been acting for a long time so does that does that make it an a difference when you have another actor sort of guiding you through what you guys are doing in the film making process I think so I think because she is an actress and she has been in my shoes and you know she knows how to sort of ask certain things from actors or or get certain things from actors she's really good at talking to her cast and I think it's because you know she's an actress and she's been an her shoes and you know she made us feel really safe you know we have to go to really dark places and we're also in bikinis a lot of the time so I'm I was just really grateful that it was her behind the camera you know you felt like she had eyes on everything um and she also sort of shapes shifted her Direction between actors like she would talk to me different than she would talk to Naomi or tanning or Alia um to sort of try to get different things and and observing that was was really impressive I mean you've proven to be so talented and eclectic with the Cho the choices that you've been making so I wonder for you is the process different when you're part of an ensemble versus when you are carrying sort of you know the movie on your own every day you're on the call sheet versus you got a group you're working around with I wonder if it's different for you or is it sort of the same I think it's a different experience for sure I think there's more on I think on both ends the importance of the character doesn't really change for me you know I whether I have two lines or I'm in the whole movie to me my character is important to me um you know I'm like that's my character I get to take care of her and bring her to life so I love them all the same um but it it is you know an ensemble you you do have to sort of you just want other people to shine as well it's not just two people um um and I think it's harder I think on the director than it is for the actors you know we get to have fun there's more people and we just get to sort of joke around and just have a good time um when it's two people it's a little easier to sort of navigate a scene because you just have to do coverage on two actors um I think on an ensemble it's it's hard way harder for a director I think people don't don't realize just how challenging this movie is for any director to direct and yet alone a firsttime director yeah so they're rapping me but last time I talked to you for Hitman you quickly at the end said I love Puerto Rico and people were upset with me I like you didn't listen to the girls like so real quick what is your favorite thing about Puerto Rico before they throw me out of here before about Puerto Rico is being Puerto Rican um I love alab I love is I go there I go there all the time see there it is so I am wrapped officially thank you so much a great day
