comes into game between the Duke Blue Devils and the Northwestern Wildcats uh that game will take place like I said on Friday at Northwestern and the opening kickoff is slated for 9900 PM eastern time Friday evening uh that's September the 6 900 PM eastern time I'm currently recording on Monday the second so keeping that in mind uh depending on when you view this video These lines are subject to change Northwestern right now is a three-point favorite in a total 39 uh those lines are both confirmed at DraftKings as we speak all right so again um we're going to be looking at the total here uh neither one of these teams was impressive in their season openers last week against less than Stellar competition uh when I say less than impressive more so on the offensive side of the ball because both defense played very well Northwestern coming off that 10 to3 boring win over Miami of Ohio they held the uh Red Hawks to 267 yards and just 4.5 yards per play in that game offensively uh Northwestern uh 10 points it speaks for itself and he also gained just 328 yards against Miami of Ohio and averaged only 5.5 yards per play offensive play that is uh Duke coming off a 26 to3 home win against FCS team Elon and they held uh Elon to 140 yards in that game and an even more impressive 2.3 yards per play now you know again they played an FCS opponent but they did what they were supposed to do and probably went beyond that uh on the defensive side of the ball offensively uh they did rack up 350 uh yards but they only average 5.3 yards per play and they're going to be stepping up in class against Northwestern especially the Northwestern defense that played so well a week ago uh since 2017 these teams have met five times and Duke has really dominated the series winning all five of those and holding Northwestern to 16.8 points per game but this is a different year a lot of changes with Duke new head coach new quarterback uh the total in this game at 39 is extremely low by college football standards but as I always say you know the total is that low for a reason or that high for a reason um and I'm not going to let the low numers scare me away I'm G to go with Duke and Northwestern Under the total of 39 on Friday uh September six for my college football free pick for today college football uh premium picks uh 12- six with my last 18 dating back to last year uh
