Fox 26 is Damali Keith giving us those details? Drug trafficking in Houston and throughout the United States is a rampant problem that continues to take lives. Some of those drugs, guns and thousands in what the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Texas says are drug dealers are now off the streets after a nearly two year investigation by the FBI Houston Safe Streets Task Force, after using wiretaps and extensive surveillance, 20 people here in Houston have been arrested on drugs and firearms charges. One of those arrested is an elementary school teacher, and according to the brief we just filed, she was on a call making or be taking part in that drug conspiracy while she was at school. And you could hear the children in the background. Alfred Jacoby Green, aka Kobe, is allegedly a documented member and one of the leaders of a gang known as the Rich Kings that's predominantly on the south and southwest side of town. This is part of the Department of Justice Violent Crime Initiative, launched two years ago. The DOJ says this latest group, arrested is part of the Rich Kings Gang and responsible for drug trafficking and violent crimes across not only Houston, but the country. It's also alleged in that brief that green and Rich Kings are affiliated with other criminal networks in the Houston area, including Green's primary cocaine supplier, Jose Alex Lopez, who along with five other coconspirators was charged in a separate case.
