K'Lavon Chaisson Signs with Raiders we got some pretty interesting news coming out here the Las Vegas Raiders have went out and signed clayon Chason coming out of LSU a former first round pick hasn't really worked out in his NFL career but this is a guy with a ton of upside this is a guy that's only 25 years old right he's literally just a year older than Tyreek Wilson but he's a guy that's now going into his fifth year in the NFL and if there's one thing I've learned from Antonio Pierce it's that he can get the most out of his guys and hopefully Chason is one of those guys that that Antonio Pierce can get the most out of now Chason has some past connections with Max Crosby uh both of those guys have been attending uh some some pass rushing specialist classes and Chason was a part of that group uh so the guy does at least in my opinion want to be a good football player not 100% sure if he'll really develop with the Raiders but there's some upside there and if you think about it the Las Vegas Raiders actually need some pass rushers the Raiders got two guys that are both hurt at this point and these are probably the two guys that the Raiders really needed opposite of Max and uh to me this just makes a ton of sense all around now Jordan Schultz is putting it out there that the Raiders are expected to sign him uh there's another report that the Raiders are bringing him in only for a workout not 100% sure exactly which one's which uh I would expect the Raiders to actually sign this guy some people have been talking about potentially bringing yique andak uh who has been with the Las Vegas Raiders in the past to me I don't think inaka is a good football player and Chason might not be good either at at least so far he hasn't really proven it right this guy only has had five sacks over the course of his first four years even more than that you know this this past season he actually signed with the Panthers and L and A lot of people don't realize that he signed with the Panthers he went to the Panthers played two of the three preseason games played pretty much all a camp with the Panthers and the Panthers didn't even keep this guy on the active roster they ended up cutting him after the preseason so that kind of tells you what they at least thought about clayon Chason but again I think when you're Antonio Pier and you have this you know you have this ability to potentially revive careers especially guys that are potentially going to be buying in I think it's a good pick I think he has some upside again only 25 years old former first round pick he's a great athlete but he just really hasn't been able to fully develop and what's interesting about a guy like Chason is this could be his final opportunity right so his back's kind of against the wall he wants to come in here he wants to prove himself and he has every opportunity as well you know Malcolm Coons was knocked out last week we had Malcolm Koonce Update heard that hey he tore his ACL potentially uh then it came back that it's not as bad and I guess I should just go ahead and update you guys I talked about it in yesterday's video a little bit but some of you guys might have missed it essentially malcol CO's injury is not as bad as we had initially thought we had initially thought that Malcolm Co might be out for you know potentially the rest of the season he might not play this season and uh that was kind of the report early on but that was unconfirmed by the guy that actually initially put the report out that was essentially carded off the field or you know Co had a non- cont injury and uh that same guy also put it out there right that Malcolm CO's injury is not as bad as people thought and that also is backed up by the fact that the Raiders actually only put Malcolm Coons on the short-term IR so Coons essentially will be back in literally three games from now right three more games come week five uh Malcolm K can technically be activated at that point now it's not guaranteed he'll be healthy there's a chance week five comes around the Raiders recognize that Co is not healthy he's not ready to go so with that the Raiders needed some passers help right and then of course Tyre Wilson also did sustain an injury now we don't know really with Ty Wilson if that's a season ending injury or if it's a short-term injury but Ty Wilson's injury is bad enough that the Raiders will not be able to bring him back at least for the next couple of weeks all right so ter Wilson will miss some time as well I don't personally think tyry Wilson missing time is really that big of a deal honestly at this point I'm going to go ahead and write T Wilson off as a bust until he can come back and prove himself because he had every opportunity at this point and I know injuries isn't something you can really control but uh even before those injuries right tyry Wilson wasn't really doing anything with the opportunities so uh you know I don't know how much better you get during the course of the season and I know reps do help a guy get better but uh we'll see with T Wilson how he kind of develops but clayon Tason to me makes sense this was an interesting pick regardless uh we'll see what the Raiders you know actually do with this guy as he kind of comes to the Raiders uh let's watch a little bit of his tape uh statistically again he only has five sacks over his career that's four total years only five K'Lavon Chaisson Film sacks which is not good by any means but he's never really even been a full-time player you know the Jacksonville Jaguars have always had Josh Allen and uh they went out and got Trayvon Walker about two years back so chason's always kind of been like that third guy at this point and U it just hasn't really worked out right and I think a big part of that also is because he's also not that great when it comes to you know just being a good pass rusher right being a consistent pass rusher being able to get after it Play and play out he's really never shown that you know he has shown the ability to be athletic and it's a different type of athleticism than like someone like Terry Wilson he's up here by the way on the right of your screen it's a different type of athleticism than ter Wilson right Terry Wilson uses his power his strength this guy uses more of that explosive First Step he uses more of like that quickness and we'll see if he can develop it a little bit you know with uh he's over here to the left you know with uh one of the interesting things with Malcolm say Malcolm Co has always been athletic and it took him until year three literally you know half of year three for it to essentially come together and with this guy he's now about to enter year five so he's not that much further ahead of Ty Wilson so hopefully he can develop a little bit as well you guys can see some of these uh snaps against the Run he's over here to the right um pass rush wise he doesn't really show me anything crazy right he doesn't show me that uh you know that it's anything crazy but this is a good play right here right you you see that the the offense is essentially going to run this little end round with the guy getting the end round he's going to actually throw it back to Joe bur right Joe bur is going to leak out here towards the right the guy over here has the ball look how soon Chason recognizes this play look at that he turns around right there right you can see he's he kind of sees it pretty quick and uh he's able to turn around right about there and gets back to the quarterback it's pretty good job it's actually a loss seven yards in this one uh but pass rush wise I don't I don't really see anything from this guy right you can pretty much see a guy you can watch 10 snaps and you can tell if a guy has pass rush upside or not he's basically just bull rushing on every single play I'll watch one more play here he's over here to the left um we'll see what he has you know it's really just just that athletic ability but uh you know the Raiders did bring him in it is an interesting pickup nonetheless we'll see if it actually benefits the Raiders uh Co Tyre Wilson both guys are out at this point I also want to go ahead and address one other topic which Addressing Maxx Crosby Disrespect you know has been trending on social media and uh you know it's always funny to me because we get these these trending stories on social media and it it it always happens where like you know you and I hate saying this because I know not every single person is like there's there's a lot of people that are actually very very smart but there's like a bottom 51% of football fans right that uh know they they really don't understand football and kind of how it works you know all they look at is stats you know they'll say hey quarterback one was 20 of 23 185 yards great game 85% completion percentage great game and then you'll see another quarterback and say well that quarterback was 15 of 30 50% completion percentage but he had like two and a half touch or he had two touchdowns he had 300 yards and they might say well you know statistically he didn't look great because of the fact that he threw the ball so much and uh you know it's it's it's people only look at the basic levels of football and one of the trending stories on social media is that apparently Joe wal shut down Max Crosby and this is a story that everybody's talking about and everybody storing the offensive line stats oh joal went up against Max 11 times all 11 times he shut down Max Crosby and uh then they talk about how he went up against Christian Wilkins and Christian Wilkins was also shut down it wasn't a lot of snaps against Wilkins like three four snaps but uh people are talking about how joal shut these guys down but people aren't understanding the context of Joe W quote unquote shutting down Max Crosby Justin Herbert had 144 yards that is his second worst game of his career when it comes to passing yards Justin Herbert was terrible but the thing is is Justin Herbert's smart he gets the ball out quickly when when the pressure is coming he knows when to get the ball out Justin Herbert's a very very smart quarterback so one of the things that people don't recognize with offensive line stats and this is true even with the Raiders you know last year I was telling you guys every single video I could that the Raiders offensive line sucked right I was saying that last year and the thing is is you know you can get a scheme and system that's going to double team every defensive end on both sides and your offense is going to be a lot slower but statistically the offensive line might look great right you can go to PFF and statistically it'll look great alternatively you can have a bad offensive line but if your quarterback super smart right you have Tom Brady back there or Payton Manning these guys can get the ball out super quickly so the offensive line might look good but they might not actually be good right and the entire point of me saying that is is Jo Walt might have went up against Max and not give up sacks or pressures but a big part of that was just because Justin Herbert was actually getting the ball out super quickly Justin Herbert was taking the check down a lot faster than he would have in previous years in previous years Justin Herbert would have been you know willing to take a you know 50/50 gamble even if Max is coming to potentially break that tackle get out of the pocket to potentially make a big play this year he didn't do that he did not do that at all in that first game and that also led to him only having 144 passing yards right statistically it was a bad game by Justin Herbert to take it a step for further the Raiders defense dominated the Chargers pretty much the entire game I know people are going to say the Raiders gave up like 10 whatever 70 yards or whatever it was but the thing is is pretty much four plays led to like 85% of those those runs the Raiders really gave up like 49 yards on like 19 carries or something like that right it was just four big carries that the Chargers had and that was basically all they did it was those big carries it was the Raiders turnovers and pretty much the Raiders kick the Chargers ass and that also you know kind of goes to to show that you know Joe Walt didn't necessarily dominate Max Crosby the quarterback just got the ball out right but it's crazy to me because so many people on on social media are talking about how Max Crosby got shut down by joal Jo Walt's his next Superstar caliber tackle but Joel had multiple losing snaps in the Run game and the thing with the Run game is you know the tape is the tape like you can watch the tape and if a guy can't block the guy in front of him you see it but people don't talk about that right people only want to look at the stat that a quarterback can impact especially smart quarterbacks like Justin Herbert so people will bring up the stats of Joe Al when it comes to the pass game but they won't talk about the fact that he gave up or he had a lot of losing reps in the Run game right and uh I think there was probably like seven or eight plays that this guy was directly involved with uh where his guy made the play or he was just kind of you know he lost his rep maybe a running back cuts it the other way and it's not his guy that makes the play but he ultimately impacted the play right um but to me it's it's it's interesting nonetheless that some people are taking that shot at Max Crosby but I'm excited to see what ends up happening in that week 18 game something tells me Max Crosby's gonna come after joal you know what's funny is Max Crosby there was a story back in training camp that I remember uh DJ glaze apparently came in and had a really good game against Max and then the very you know next week when uh you know after Antonio Pierce talked about it Tom Tesco all these guys were like oh yeah DJ glaze held his own against Max Crosby I remember everybody talking about that and then the very next week Max Crosby beat the out of that guy right at least on the football field and uh with that when Max Crosby was beating up DJ glaz he ran over to the sideline he told the media like hey you know write write that down right or whatever he said I don't know exactly what it was but uh it something to that tune where he was letting them know that uh you know DJ glaz can't handle him if he goes 100% speed on every single play and something tells me when the Raiders play the uh the Chargers come I think it's the final game of the season week 18 when that game comes something tells me Max rosby's going to try taking it to Joe wal and I hope he does right because uh you know I think Max rosby's very very legit and I don't think Joe WT had as good of a game you know and again you know you can see the stats Justin Herbert had a pretty bad game you can see the Run game was not good honestly the Riders lost that game the Chargers didn't win that game all right so that's my opinion of that hope you guys enjoyed this video let me know what you guys think about Kavon Chason let me know what you guys
