Expert Explains Khris Middleton Injury (MCL) & Return Timeline Scenarios

What happened Hey it’s Raj from 3CB. Milwaukee Bucks wing Khris Middleton sprained the MCL - medial collateral ligament - of his left knee on this play vs the Chicago Bulls. Khris left the game and didn’t return. Severity & Timelines His timeline will depend on the severity of the injury with grade 1 tears averaging 1-2 weeks, grade 2 4-6 weeks and grade 3 12+ weeks depending on if surgery is required or not. Silver Lining The silver lining here is that the MCL heals very well due to a robust blood supply and that’s why surgery is rarely required. Even if Khris can’t come back this season, he is very likely to make an excellent recovery for next. I’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
