MOS reminding the world just how brutal an enemy the Jewish State faces good morning everyone thank you for joining us on this Labor Day and welcome to Fox News Live I'm Julie vaner and I'm Kevin Cork among the dead found executed in a tunnel under Rafa dual Israeli American citizen hirh Goldberg Poland the 23-year-old was perhaps one of the most recognizable of the hostages and became something of a symbol of their plight and now pressure is building as you can imagine on the White House take action right away President Biden and vice president kamla Harris are set to meet in the situation room just moments from now G Jenkins standing by at the White House but first Chief foreign correspondent Trey yingst live in Tel Aviv on more with especially with regard to the anger that Israelis are expressing this morning Trey good morning yeah Kevin good morning demonstrations erupted overnight across Israel after the country's Health Ministry confirmed that six hostages were executed in Gaza while in Hamas captivity thousands of people took to the streets blocking the main Highway here in Tel Aviv Israel's second largest city clashes erupted between police and protesters with security forces bringing in horses and water cannons to clear the road the demonstrators demanded that the government reach a hostage agreement and bring the remaining captives in Gaza home including this father whose son is being held in Gaza take a look is we need an immediate agreement and bring back the hostages otherwise we will get them in black body bags the unrest about the hostages shifted to civil protests with a broad general strike announced today Israel's International Airport was on strike for two hours this morning affecting incoming and outgoing flights other Transportation affected as well including Jerusalem's Light Rail train with frustration growing across Israel about the lack of a deal President Biden will meet with vice president Harris in The Situation Room shortly to meet with the American negotiating team officials in Washington will look for a way to move the ceasefire talks forward giving both Israel and Hamas an exit ramp to end the war the uncertainty about Gaza comes as Israel launched fresh strikes against the Iran back group Hezbollah in southern Lebanon overnight now as the funeral for hirs that 23-year-old American Israeli citizen is getting underway in Jerusalem Hamas just released as we are speaking here part of a prop aganda video the psychological warfare against this country continues in the video you can see the faces of all six hostages who were executed according to the country's military and health Ministry Hamas is threatening to release their final messages Kevin Julie Trey Yanks joining us from Tel Aviv Trey thank you as always let's bring in Robert Greenway he dealt with the Middle East as a member of the National Security Council he is now director of the center for National Defense at the heritage Foundation uh this is just so devastating for these families who have been holding out hope uh you know months ago the Israeli American who was found dead HH Goldberg Poland uh was actually in fact seen on video uh he lost his arm which was blown off by these terrorists from the forearm down uh making some sort of propag propaganda you know plea for these terrorists um and now he has been found dead what does this say for the negotiations moving forward and how urgent is it now more than ever to get the rest of the hostages that are being currently held out safely and Alive well thanks for having me Julie we all mourn the loss of hsh Rachel uh golden and is family members have our deepest sympathy and condolences but the execution of six hostages while ceasefire negotiations are underway tells you all you need to know about the terrorists that are responsible for the deadliest day in Israel's history and the deadliest terrorist attack against the United States since 911 any negotiation that allows this group to survive and repeat the horrific attacks of October the 7th is intolerable and that's the dynamic tension the United States could play a more constructive role by applying pressure where it belongs against Hamas and the terrorist organization responsible for this act and also against Iran the sponsor for all of it and for regional escalation and this really does put a lot of pressure on this election and KLA Harris and her ability to perhaps finally get in the middle and and put her foot down as the United States has obviously been an ally of Israel but seems to not be able to make much leeway when it comes to negotiations um Washington Post has this if we could put it up on the screen the US plans to present a take it or leave it uh Israel Gaza ceasefire deal soon axio saying Biden is considering presenting final Gaza deal proposal within days the pressure on the White House is unsurmountable and now that an American Israeli has been killed uh what what would you like to see come out of this White House specifically what would you like to hear from kamla Harris who's the sitting vice president right now running to become the leader of the Free World well first I think righteous indignation and anger at the execution of an American and the execution of 32 Americans on October the 7th and pressure needs to be placed where it's where it belongs again on the group responsible and so there has to be a price look in foreign policy as in other matters you get what you pay for you encourage and you tolerate and if you encourage and if you reward the hostage taking that we've seen and the execution of Hostage taking you could be certain that more of it will occur and unless and until pressure is applied to Hamas and Iran its sponsor we'll continue to see these acts of depravity as unfortunate as it sounds we need to stand with Israel our our our Earth partner in the region and against terrorism more broadly and they need to pay a price for this act yeah I you know K Harris has stood up for Israel but at the same time has also stood up for the pro Palestinian protesters which are essentially championing terrorists who began this war in the beginning on October 7th killing over a thousand Jews and so Senator Graham has words if you will for the vice president on her stance on foreign policy now more important than ever she is running for president of the United States in the midst of this blood bath in the Middle East listen to his words and then I'll have you respond on foreign policy she's been a wrecking ball on Israel she sat there and listened to somebody called the Israeli government and people engaging and genocide and did nothing about it she boycotted BB speech to the Congress sending a signal to Hamas and Iran uh that America really doesn't have Israel's back she was Cheerleading uh the withdrawal uh from Afghanistan it's been the most incompetent Administration I can remember on things that matter to the American people your safety and your Prosperity your reaction I think Senator Graham's exactly right the contrast couldn't be more clear four years ago president Trump broker the Abraham Accords and we saw Regional peace as possible four years later we've seen nothing but regional conflict and escalation and it's costing Americans in terms of Commodities energy and gas prices have increased as a result Safety and Security is definitely an ISS issue here and there's been a lack of leadership in the White House and certainly a lack of leadership as we've heard from vice president Harris Robert Greenway thank you so much for joining us appreciate it it's my pleasure thank you thanks Julie San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky piol now recovering at home after he was shot in the chest Saturday night during an attempted robbery this all happened in a very busy Shopping Area of San Francisco obviously renewing the focus on the city's ongoing struggle with crime correspondent bill illusion live in Los Angeles with more on that bill good morning Kevin good morning to you this is yet another black eye for the city of San Francisco as police say the 49ers number one draft pick was the victim of this attempted robbery over his Rolex watch while he was walking alone just carrying his shopping bags back to his car on Saturday take a look video shows a bloody peer saww being tended to by paramedics after he was shot in his chest near San Francisco's Union Square over the weekend he reportedly fought back against his attacker struggling over the done and both of them ended up getting shot thankfully piol has already been released from the hospital now Pea's mom posted on Facebook thinking God for protecting her baby boy as she describes him she says he's extremely lucky that God shielded him she says he was shot in his chest the bullet exited out of his back she said thanks be to God that that bullet missed his vital organs now police say the suspect is a 17-year-old juvenile who was arrested and also taken to the hospital they don't believe peol was targeted just for being a pro football player thankfully Mr piol is in stable condition although the subject is in custody this still is an active investigation this kind of violence is simply unacceptable in our city peol had been signing autographs for fans just hours before the shooting you can see it right here and it's still unclear how long this gunshot injury is going to keep him off the football field now San Francisco da Brook Jenkins said say her office expects to bring charges against that 17-year-old juvie by midweek and she says those charges will be filed in juvenile court not adult Court Kevin bill maluan in Los Angeles Bill thank you so much we appreciate that so President Biden and VP Harris are campaigning together for the first time he came off the beach to do this since she officially became the party's nominee they are courting voters in several must-win Battlegrounds plus Justice katoni Brown Jackson responded in to calls for an enforcable code of ethics for the Supreme Court but she says about 1 minutes after the hour now disclosure scandals involving Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas have led to calls for a binding code of ethics for the high court justice kataji Brown Jackson has weighed in on that listen here so you know a binding code of ethics is pretty standard for judges and so I guess the question is is the Supreme Court any different and I guess I have not seen a um persuasive reason as to why the court is different than the other courts but from my perspective I don't have any problem with an enforceable uh code different according to the Constitution President Biden meanwhile has also pushed for major Supreme Court reforms Jackson for her part says she won't comment on specific policy proposals justce Elena Kagan also calling for an enforcable Ethics code but the conservative super majority and republicans in Congress are pushing back Julie No Rest for Democrats this Labor Day President Biden vice president Harris and her running mate Governor Tim Waltz on a swing state Sprint they are hitting three key Battleground States combined today as the race to the White House enters its final months Garett Tenny live in Detroit where VP Harris is set to stump in just a few hours from now Hey Garrett hey Julie good morning to you and today is the first time we will see President Biden out on the campaign Trail in his new role as he described it the best volunteer the walls Harris or the Harris walls campaign has ever seen Pennsylvania and Michigan are two states with a heavy Union presence that will be critical to Democrats in November as they try to keep their blue wall intact despite the lack of clear policy positions the Harris campaign has laid out over the weekend campaign chair J Ali laid out their strategy for the next 10 weeks which includes touting the number one issue for voters concerns about the economy om Ali says of Harris her economic vision is both good for the country and popular with the voters who will decide this election vice president Harris's plans are pragmatic and focus on Solutions while a clear majority of Swing voters see Trump as more extreme one major issue the campaign continues to deal with is how to explain Harris's numerous policy reversals something Democrats were pressed on on across the Sunday shows including Senator Tim Kane here on Fox News Sunday over Harris's previous pledge to ban fracking but look on on fracking let's use that as an example she took a position in a presidential debate in 2019 but now she's been part of an Administration that has rocketed ahead with Alternative Energy Investments because of the inflation reduction act campaigning is one thing governing is another and what governing has shown uh with vice president Harris is she's going to try to bring the team together and make something happen the Harris campaign is also putting a lot of stock in the upcoming debate with former president Trump just eight days from now something former Democratic Congressman Tulsi gabard who went hard after Harris at the democratic debate in 2019 says is a risky strategy kamla Harris has already shown that she is trying to move away from her record move away from her positions and uh how that contrad icts the positions and statements that she is making now that she is the Democratic nominee also looming over Harris's visit to Michigan today is the ongoing war in Gaza in the administration's support of Israel something that led more than a 100,000 voters in Michigan during the Democratic primary to choose uncommitted those voters could play a deciding role in November which is why the Harris campaign has been working behind the scenes to smooth those relationships over still a lot of work to do on that front though Julie all right Garett Tenny thank you so much let's bring in radio host rich zeoli rich I I just want to share a very quick graphic uh right out of the gate I want to talk about some of the polling and I understand we talk about National polls make no mistake about it this is all about the swing states that said let me share this with you uh this is from ABC and it talks about the bump or lack thereof for the vice president take a look now 5046 pre-convention 50 45 what do you make of that fact that unlike most people you come out at the convention people are all excited you get a big bump in the polls but in this case not so much yeah listen Kevin uh great to be with you from the musn state of Pennsylvania I think there's two things happening here number one her policy flip-flops like un fracking for example it wasn't just that she said it in a debate she sang about it and joked about it on Jimmy Fallon's radio show by the way who's not nearly as funny as Jimmy phala for the record but she joked about it there doing a some sort of a weird poetic thing I don't know and now she's trying to walk it back but here's the thing if you're not a sincere with the walk all in on it you went on national television and made the statement multiple times so it's you know BBE I've changed but I'm not really convincing and telling you that I've really changed and you know what else is interesting rich I look at some of the top issues for voters and I think that's another area of weakness right now because if you sort of parse them out in fact let me share them for the folks at home uh these are issues where the former president is strong in particular as it relates to the economy uh we can just show you just some of the top voter issues and again it's the economy inflation immigration and even the Israel Hamas War former president Trump continues to lead the way they can say what they want about National polling but on issues that really matter that really hit home for most Americans the former president seems to have a very comfortable lead he does and there's a reason for that too you know Joe Biden has been spending the of August building Legacy sand castles on the beach and now he's going to be campaigning with Kell Harris today so she wants to be the candidate of change but she's literally campaigning with a guy who just got dumped from the ticket who represents all these policies that Americans are rejecting right and they remember when Donald Trump was President this is a very unique election Kevin in the sense that we can contrast both jobs that these two men did and if KLA Harris is embracing Joe Biden that sends a clear message to voters hey I'm embracing the same policies that you were rejecting to such a degree that we had to dump the guy from the ticket so this is a terrible campaign strategy for them this is what also surprises me first of all you're talking basically about a 75-day campaign second of all having the former having the current president albeit not much on the job lately in front with her it really draws your eyes to the past and not so much to the Future uh that said they consider themselves The Underdogs uh heading into this election again 60 plus days uh before election day let me share this quote from the Harris walls campaign their chair says make no mistake we head into the final stretch of this race as the clear underdogs Donald Trump has a motivated base of support with more support and higher favorability than he had at any point since 20120 can't argue that in the 30 seconds we have left what on Earth is the plan then if they know she's fighting an uphill battle they got to keep dodging I guess I don't know I mean it's doesn't seem to be working for him that's why there's no convention bounce this is all sugar and the sugar high that the Democrats are feeling is fading very fast and now they're realizing they were stuck with a legacy candidate a legacy campaign and the same issues that voters were rejecting and I think they're going to reject certainly in the state of Pennsylvania just on the fracking issue alone Kevin yeah it's going to be very difficult but but I say all that to say this don't forget she can be a very dangerous debator we heard Tulsa gabard talk about that in her interview over on CNN rich always a pleasure thanks for joining us today we certainly appreciate your time happy Labor Day same to you Fox News Alert the ongoing border crisis taking a dangerous and terrifying new turn vicious migrant gangs infiltrating the US Republican Congressman Pat Fallon from the border state of Texas coming right up 7 minutes after the hour now right now the funeral for Israeli American HS Goldberg Poland is underway in Jerusalem meanwhile President Biden arriving moments ago at the White House just ahead of a meeting with the US negotiation team the hostage negotiation team that meeting set to take place in The Situation Room correspondent Griff Jenkins with the very latest from the North Lawn hey Griff Hey Kevin good morning that's right you can still hear Marine W's rotors spinning behind me just 7 minutes ago now the president touching down and Marine one where he'll soon head into the situation room and be joined by vice president Harris and his us hostage negotiation team now we're getting the early report said he had very little possibly to say but indicating to reporters that he does not think that prime minister Netanyahu of Israel is doing enough to get a deal done and that Biden believes that we could be close to a deal we will work to turn that tape and bring you that as soon as we can get it this comes of course in the wake of the tragic news of the killing of the six hostages including American HS Goldberg Poland now yesterday President Biden releasing a statement saying this it is as tragic as it is reprehensible make no mistake Hamas leaders will pay for these crimes and we will keep working around the clock for a deal to secure the release of the remaining hostages now Biden has kept a low profile since ending his reelection bid he was last here at the White House on August 19th his vacation has ended after you can hear Marine one here by behind me he's been vacationing for the last few weeks in Southern California and rith Beach Delaware Harris meanwhile also released a statement yesterday here is some of what she said she says I strongly condemn hamas's continued brutality in so much the entire world as vice president I have no higher priority in the safety of American citizens wherever they are in the world what we don't know right now Kevin is really what impact the killing of the hostages may have had on negotiations there are of course a few reports out there unconfirmed by Fox that Biden plans to present a final deal in the coming days hopefully we will get an update on that very soon now yesterday isra Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that he he was talking about the whole situation and he said whoever kills hostages does not want to negotiate Biden was asked if he had talked to Netanyahu he told the pool reporters there are talks but not specifically saying whether or not he spoke directly with him so we shall see what we get and turn that tape about what up dat we have situation very fluid here finally Kevin some have been asking about whether or not the flags have been lowered here at the White House after Virginia governor Glenn yankan lowered his Flags to honor H Goldberg Poland here at the White House so far they are not lowered yet Kevin Griff Jenkins as always we appreciate you reporting there on the North Long keep us surprised of uh any possible readout and of course we'll come back to you as the news warrants Julie over to you all right let's bring in Republican Congressman Pat Fallon of Texas the member of the House armed services committee uh thank you so much for talking to us um first of all I want your reaction to the way the White House has so far handled uh not only the war in Gaza but um our stance on these six hostages who were murdered today in this situation room we understand that the president and the vice president will be meeting to discuss a possible deal to discuss what exactly what are they going to be talking about today would you say well Julie first of all this Administration is trying to have it both ways they're trying to say that uh well they want bet Netanyahu to show restraint and then they want to cdle Hamas and then condemn him at the same time it doesn't make a lick of sense and so what we need to really focus on and not forget is when President Trump actually imposed and enforced sanctions against Iran their exports with their oil exports were about $8 billion a year they're now 43 billion and their support for Hamas has tripled because you can support a lot more Mayhem and murder with an additional $35 billion okay so basically uh the president apparently touching down moments ago uh took several questions apparently it was hard to hear uh but we do have some tape that we're going to try to turn around do we have that sound just yet okay so we're going to work on that but anyway the president was asked about this um regarding a presidential stance on this and taking a hard stance in in defense of Israel and against God I just want to go back to a couple things first of all Waltz okay he's running to be the vice president of the United States this was a terror attack essentially uh the most amount of Americans that have been killed since 911 33 Americans in all of this uh Waltz apparently was questioned um on the hostages and it is prompting outrage watch this and tell me what your gut feeling is when he ignores the following question watch what's your reaction the six hostages being found dead um Ina thanks everybody okay he had to have heard that question I mean would you not agree he had to have heard that question why in God's name would he ignore that question well Julie because the this tickets uh two-state solution is winning Pennsylvania and Michigan again they're trying to have it both ways how about just coming out and saying Israel has a right to defend itself Israel has a right to exist Israel is our strongest Ally in the Middle East and it's the only democracy in the region say those kinds of things they share our values they've been a loyal friend since they're Inception but they don't want to say those things because they're worried about those 100,000 plus folks that under voted them and the Democratic Primary in Michigan you know what this is supposed to be about the country not an election so this is uh you know and people die when you make bad decisions when you try to coddle Iran as Obama and then Biden did and certainly Harris would so she's running as the change candidate yet she's really essentially the incumbent because it's been the Biden Harris Administration for four years one of the one of the questions that was presented to President Biden just moments ago was is Netanyahu doing enough his answer was no that was it one one word no um here's KLA Harris on Hamas just talk about uh something not aging well okay this was in July okay we're talking thousands of Israelis murdered Pro Palestinian protests championing terrorism and this is what kamla Harris has to say our future potential president watch I also expressed with the Prime Minister my serious concern about the scale of human suffering in Gaza including the death of far too many innocent civilians the first phase of the deal would bring about a full ceasefire including a withdrawal of the Israeli military from population centers in Gaza in the second phase the Israeli military with withdraw from Gaza entirely can you imagine after 9/11 here on us soil an American leader a president a vice president a a presidential candidate uh even coming out and uttering words of Sympathy For Those unfortunate deaths in Iraq when we invaded Iraq and when we've invaded other Middle Eastern countries when we're fighting Al-Qaeda we're fighting terrorists we're fighting Isis that's essentially what she's doing here Israel Has Its Right to defend itself and as an ally we need to stand up to Israel is that Yahoo doing enough possibly very well no but that's where the US needs to step in not certainly Cry tears crocodile tears for Gaza truly Hamas is the one that has rejected every ceasefire proposal all the deaths in Gaza lay at hamas's feets Israel wouldn't be Israel wouldn't be in Gaza right now if 1,400 of their Citi weren murdered by Hamas of course they're going to respond and they have every right to I mean during World War II people forget that we bombed Normandy before June 6 1944 19,000 French civilians were killed and those deaths were Hitler's fault they weren't the United States's fault I mean come on we need to know history and unfortunately innocent people die when there is a conflict who's who's who's at the who who's the perpetrator here it's Hamas absolutely they are the holding the cards and and and that's why the United States needs to show them who boss and right now we're not seeing that uh and we are looking weak in the eyes of the Middle East uh Congressman Pat Fallon we appreciate you coming on on this Labor Day thank you so much for your uh in input thank you smart now in a new interview with our Mark Lan former president Trump details the emotional moment that his wife and son learned that he'd been shot somebody ran up Baron Baron your father's been shot he went you know he loves this father he's a good good kid good student good athlete actually and he ran Mom what's going on what's going she couldn't believe it she was actually watching it live can you imagine and then I got up and I let people know I was okay fight fight fight but I let people know I was okay but it was a hit it was a big hit and uh a miracle actually for just an incredible day as you can well imagine concerns over rally security remain high even at this hour let's bring in Ted Williams former uh DC homicide detective and attorney great to have you my friend Happy Labor Day to you uh you and I have talked about this since the day it happened and I'm still a Gass at the idea that people can Rush on up I've covered probably I don't know upwards of 100 maybe even 200 uh events that are highly secure with secret service still boggles the Mind head that this is happening even uh even in the shadow of what we know went down at Butler apparently a guy was able to rush the Press area yeah you know uh good morning to you Kevin and uh happy labor day I can tell you that when you look in real time what took place there in Butler Pennsylvania uh when it came to the former president and the uh attempted assassination it is quite chilling uh the investigation at this stage is somewhat Limited in trying to determine the motive of why Thomas Crooks got on that building and shot at least eight shots killing one person injuring two and also injuring the former president uh it's just something that one cannot Envision or imagine happening but it is something that the secret service has to prepare for on a daily basis uh we've known from the time of Abraham Lincoln and the assassination by John Wells boot all the way to modern day attempted assassinations of President Gerald R Ford or uh President Reagan or by John Hinckley uh so the bottom line is we we've got to do more to protect all these leaders Ted thank you we're going to have to leave it short here we want to head back over to the White House and uh double check if see if we have some sound from the president's arrival uh Julie you may have that yeah moments ago uh the president actually did take questions he just landed at the White House ahead of a meeting in the uh Situation Room uh between him and the vice president KLA Harris they'll be discussing the hostage negotiation team in the Situation Room following the tragic deaths of those six hostages that were found murdered over the weekend let's listen to President Biden National Security meet I'm heading a national security meeting right now and then going to pittsbur and uh so checking on What's following up on what's happening in Israel and then uh I'll be off to Pittsburgh are you planning to present a final hostage deal to the uh both sides this week we're very close to that what makes you think that this deal will be successful in a way that the other deals were not hope friends of Turnal Mr President do you think it's time for per prime minister Netanyahu to do more on this issue do you think he's doing enough no president what is your reaction to the demonstrations across Israel what is your reaction to the demonstrations let me get the detail when I walk into I'll talk to you after that you have a message for the hostages family sir yes I've spoken to the American hostage I spoke to his mom and dad and uh we're not giving up we're going to continue to push as hard as we can than you Hope Springs Eternal those were his words uh as far as his optimism about a potential deal but you heard that reporter say what is different now and has been different in the past it's hard to take those words seriously when this has been ongoing for so long it's difficult to imagine a scenario where one could even make the idea possible that Hope Springs Eternal when you everything you've seen uh obviously speaks to the opposite but I think he's trying to at least it would appear try to I don't know will this into existence we'll have to see if it all works out but obviously as he continues his conversation with the negotiation team Julie mentioned it uh this will also include the vice president and and this is somewhat common they'll go in on the sitch uh they'll they'll talk for a while we'll get some sort of a readout depending on what's happening but I think what's really interesting is what perhaps he has to say afterwards and maybe we'll learn a little bit more about it uh at that
