in the debate Trump said I created one of the greatest economies in the history of our country Trump did not create a great economy he inherited one from Obama average economic growth under Trump was 2.5% and it was 2.4% for Obama's second term average new jobs per month were higher under Obama 215,000 to 182,000 the metrics that got better under Trump were simply a continuation of the positive Trends cre aided by Obama such as unemployment which fell steadily for seven straight years under Obama and the trend just continued under Trump as a reminder Obama inherited from Bush the Great Recession and a massive annual deficit and he turned it around Trump gave us tax cuts for the rich that left us with massive deficits that we now have to pay off that had very little positive impact on the economy they were completely unnecessary we don't need more of the same
