[Music] Saskatoon City officials consider collections for $6 million in unpaid parking tickets the City of Saskatoon is exploring options to recover unpaid parking fines totaling over $6 million accumulated over the past 4 years Administration is evaluating a collections based approach to address the issue data shows that 12,000 vehicle owners with two or more more outstanding fines could face vehicle immobilization and impoundment the city is considering involving a thirdparty collection agency particularly for outof Town offenders outof Town folk could start to see additional letters going out either from the city or from a third-party collection agency said Matt graser the city's director of community standards the administration aims to decide on the appropriate collection strategy in the fall the move comes as the city seeks to improve its Revenue collection and ensure that citizens adhere to parking regulations
