it seems like what can go wrong will go wrong for the New York football Giants and now Malik neighbors has been added to the injury report following Thursday's practice we're going to react to that on added to the injury report is what the hell really it's WTF because it seems like everything goes wrong for this football team you go out and add a dynamic playmaker you can't get him the ball week one and then as you prepare to play the Washington commanders the worst secondary in the National Football League Malik neighbors is on the injured report and it sounds like at least it's something a little bit serious Connor Hughes who covers this football team for SNY tweeted out that Malik neighbors popped up on the injury report as limited with the knee injury that means he was hurt in practice he and he added he seemed a little off today this is absolutely worth monitoring and could be a huge blow this late in the week Jordan run on tries to have a little bit more optimism looking at the injuries saying rookie receiver neighbors was listed as Limited it on the injury report he was in the locker room after practice with nothing on his knee and spoke with the media so ran putting a little bit of water on the fire of concern this for New York Giants fans when it comes to neighbors I look I don't know who to believe and I'm just going to believe he's going to be okay until I see that he is questionable or whatever his designation is going to be when the official injury report comes out this Friday for the Giants it is that injury report that will tell us if he is questionable doubtful or out if he's listen is questionable then yeah we can all freak out together because that would be absolutely horrible for the New York Giants look you're going up against a team in the commanders who has been graded out it seems like every single week since the beginning of 2023 as one of the worst secondaries in football and look you need neighbors out there he's really really your best offensive player outside of Andrew Thomas and I'm not sure I can watch this team without him playing football because man they are going to be boring the ENT High injury report for both squads looks as follows you're going to want to pay attention to Nick McLoud as he has been dealing with a knee injury people have talked about that could be more so week to week than dayto day he did not participate at Wednesday's practice and he did not participate at Thursday's practice Darius musau same thing as McLoud has missed the last two practices gunar oy I believe is going to be added to injured reserve here pretty soon he's going to be out a while Malik neighbors he was listed as limited Slayton was out on Wednesday practice in a limited capacity on Thursday and then Mah McFadden who missed the game or I guess he was active just did not play on Sunday week one he was a full participant whereas the commander side Emanuel Forbes their first round pick from a couple of years ago the corner he is limited and it sounds like he's going to be out for an extended period of time Jon Newton he is limited and the rest of the guys Coleman Owens Brian Robinson and Trent Scott they were all full participants at Thursday's practice if you want my league neighbors to play this Sunday if you want him to be all right the knee injury not a thing go down right now and hit that thumbs up icon show could to kind of just put a little bit more color to the picture of the Washington Commander secondary listen to these stats the Commander's coverage grade on PFF last week was 37 a half it was the last in the NFL the team that ranked 31st had a 46.8 coverage grade so almost 10 points more than the Washington commanders if there was ever a week for the Giant passing offense to look good it is no doubt it's going to be this week against the Washington commanders Jacob Gibbs also added this since the start of the 2023 season no cornerback in the NFL has allowed more receiving yards than Washington's Benjamin Shan Juiced in week one the commanders allowed 139 receiving yards to slot wide receiver Mike Evans Chris Godwin and jayen McMillan all caught their to TDs coming out of the slot next up the New York Giants and their slot receiver ju Del Robinson he operates out of the slot more than anybody on this football team and Daniel Jones he loves to check it down to W Del Robinson he targeted him 12 times last year uh last week excuse me S only allowed six catches uh six catches on 12 targets for 44 yards not great but going up up against a Commander's defense that allows a lot of opportunities for slot receivers maybe it could be a big game for juandale Robinson with Darius Slayton still on the injury report the Giants are already going to be wounded at that wide receiver spot he's dealing with the concussion I think he's on track to potentially play but when he Factor him being limited all week the Malik neighbors now being limited with a knee injury not sure if that's just magically going to get better by the time of Sunday you're going to need someone to step up and maybe it could be 13 because jayen hayatt didn't even play all that much verse the Minnesota Vikings in week one just 16 offensive snaps only one target it was the pass over the middle ball was a a little high but I'm going to call that a drop for Jaylen hayatt he's a good enough player to haul that in I think if you asked him after the game should he have caught it he would have said absolutely let's turn the clock back to last year what happened week two when the Giants got blown out by the Cowboys and they travel to go play the Cardinals who was the guy that ultimately saved that season it was Jaylen hayatt Big Time connection from Jones to Hyatt once got have been scoring position and another time he threw him a deep ball and he went up and caught it this team needs explosive plays so why not lean on the guy that was one of the more explosive players for you last season who averaged 16.2 yards per catch and his average depth of Target the times that he was targeted and he got the ball he ran routes of 20.7 yards he also had six catches of more than 20 yards last year you have to find a way to put Jaylen hayatt in a spot to be successful and the Giants just need to prioritize Jaylen hayatt and his development I understand slayton's on the team and there's no doubt about it that Slayton is a better receiver than him at this point but you trade it up for Jaylen you gave up a third round pick you got to sometimes prioritize those guys you got to invest in your Investments and double down and triple down and make sure that he's a good football player because if you look back at the three draft classes for the New York Giants really the first two there's not all that many winners out of them I think hay could be one of those guys but you got to give him an opportunity to go out there and live a little bit this is the week for the Giants offense like it's either now or it is never and I truly do believe that if you can't put up points against this Washington Commander defense if you can't move the ball in the air it's going to be a really long season and if the Giants lay an egg if they go out there and struggle if Daniel Jones plays bad I think he will be benched because for all reasons we said it's not a good defense especially on the back half they're injured at corner they're young at corner they have given up a lot of yards for a long time maybe have the worst Corner in football and Benjamin Shane juice starting now Forbes out they're going to have to upgrade someone from their like it it is now or never for this Giants offense four ways they can win this football game Daniel Jones go do it you're 51 in one in your career against the commanders you haven't lit them up all that much through the air but you found ways to win and at the end of the day that's the most important job for a quarterback go out and do what you do you got to keep Jane Daniels in the pocket he ran the ball 14 times last week on the design runs seven times he had 13 yards on those design runs he also scrambled sever seven times he had 77 yards on scrambles so let him call the design runs rally tackle just keep him in the bucket keep him in the pocket he's at best when he gets outside and he starts to improvise you got to control the line of scrimmage Dexter Lawrence Brian Burns we need you Dexter Lawrence was awesome last week Brian Burns had just one pressure $150 million in a second round pick he's got to be better and Kayon Tibido throughout his career he has played his best football against the commanders what about the game that clench the Giants to playoffs in or didn't clench But ultimately got them in there in that 20 22 regular season forced to Fumble scoop and score we need number five to have a big game zero pressures last week he was not on the stat sheet we need him to very much so fill it up this week who do you got who is going to win this football game I'm calling it a must-win for the Giants because if they don't win and he thought it was ugly in the media this week it is only going to get worse if you
