my name is Mark Lindsay I'm a software engineering manager at the Experian consumer services I've been with the company now for about three and a half years and I'm currently managing three software engineering teams Experian is really Keen to build a diverse Workforce ultimately and you know we've got customers ranging from all different backgrounds so we need to reflect that in in the people that we've got that's something that really came across the school of code you've got male female different ages different ethnicities different backgrounds in terms of working and it's those kinds of experiences that kind of really enhance what we're trying to do we're very customer focused business and having those different viewpoints those different experiences is what makes us a you know makes us and school of code a great sort of collaboration really we've interviewed quite a few School of coders and every single one is passionate about software engineering and you know when they're that passionate they're going to be amazing in our company because that's what we look for we look for passion we look for people that want to be software engineers whenever we've been on the boot camps um and and looked at candidates it's the ratio of male to female is so far away from what it is at University and we find it much easier to find candidates that that we like and that have gone through this process so I had initial conversations with three School of coders and they interviewed amazingly the passion was just incredible they all had really strong Tech skills and ultimately it was really difficult to choose who wanted out of those candidates the manager that actually interviewed them he was so impressed that we actually pushed the budget out so we could get an additional additional person in you know all the engineering managers are really impressed by by what we've got from school of code I would absolutely recommend School of code to any businesses that are looking to get exceptional Talent into their into their company we are so proud of the three candidates that we've taken on from school of code they are inspirational and I think that's Testament to the level of effort the level of attention that goes into what school of code do it's one of the best things that I think we've ever ever done in terms of hiring into experience let's see [Music]
