welcome back ladies and gentlemen to the counselor's office I'm Mr gaming counselor and this week in Destiny that's right we're still going to cover it because I like covering the news on Destiny it's something that I spent over way too much time so if you're ever wondering why do you continue to cover it because I can and plus I think a lot of people like my news updates and my reactions because they themselves don't want to take the time to do that and that's fine they can watch me and I will do all the disc discussing and bringing information to them playing the game as it is so that they save money I'll be the guinea pig so you don't have to but to this week in Destiny uh just there's not a lot really we the biggest bulk we've already talked about with uh the portal like all the different changes the code Frontiers like that was the big thing go watch my video If you haven't uh if you want more information on that so we're going to kind of skim through it now probably the biggest thing and probably honestly the biggest W we've had in a long time that I think is all around good and I do have criticisms but not the way you think we're getting a new dungeon on October 11th with the launch of uh episode 2 Revenant on October 8th there's your dates put on the calendars if you are like me and you bought the deluxe edition your money is gone so you're going to be playing this regardless and again people want to watch me uh so they don't have to spend money or whether no they want to see if there's a value proposition like okay is it worth my money uh again usually dungeons are not free you have to pay for them separately from the seasons so keep that in mind when we do review said dungeon and I'm going to do a very quick one I'm not going to do like a fancy thing we just going to rock right through it and tell you the highs the lows and whether I think it's worth your bottom dollar I still say a lot of people were upset about my Warlords dungeon I said it's a phenomenal dungeon but the loot sucks uh except for the sidearm the sidearm was amazing but everything else the armor is cheap garbage and every other weapon is just just bad it's garbage the sidearm is literally the only weapon we're farming for but even the Exotic is probably the best thing out of the entire dungeon uh which is a very good value proposition you're like is it worth it yes it's fun it's great I love it I love the theme I'm disappointed in the armor but the Exotic is more than enough for me to want to spend money on that uh I hope I can say the same thing for the new dungeon that's my thoughts but what's really going on so they announce on Friday October 11th at 10:00 a.m. PT the new dungeon will feature us a contest mode for the first time ever that's right we have contest raids but now we have contest mode so gather your favorite fire team save the date we'll have more details for you in the weeks ahead my concern is that they're going to try to do dungeon belts please don't uh I think contest Mode's cool and you could do like a fancy emblem like you do day ones uh I feel like Dungeons are a little bit more easier for other people in the community to obtain I think that we can all agree on it six-man teams versus a three-man team and the content is a lot more reduced I think it's going to be a lot easier for people to get day ones but is a challenge for everyone even veterans which is something that we've wanted so that's a W uh I think overall there's no problem because usually day ones don't last that long and it seems like it's going to last the weekend uh or maybe day one I don't know if I'm assuming there's going to be a day one emblem we do not know uh I think I'm off October 11th for fall break so I'm going to try to jump in and do it I don't know if I have a team oh I'll let you know when we get when we get when the ship gets there uh first we have to even get to the season the episode sorry uh overall um yeah I mean I like the dungeons have been all right like that's the one thing in destiny that I've enjoyed is doing solo dungeons it's a challenge I enjoy it uh and they haven't been too bad so except for ghost to the Deep the final boss was just way too chunky outside of that like yeah I'm okay with that right uh yeah contest mode so again I hope they don't do a dungeon belt because that's just I think it Waters down the excitement of raid belts I don't know maybe I'm being atist there and when I say elitist I it only impacts like 1% of people anyways but maybe this maybe we do need a dungeon belt for the people out there who can do three man activities and have a chance to actually do something you know what screw it do a dungeon belt I don't care who am I be a gatekeeper now that I think about it let the community's been wanting uh content that's more accessible and a dungeon is probably amongst as in-game goes is probably amongst the most accessible so pop off and I guantee someone's going to try to solo uh the dungeon on contest mode I imagine the contest mode will be similar to master mode so try to solo master and you might get yourself your experience there I don't see it being much harder than Master mode on any dungeon but this is going to be a new dungeon so you have to be careful and uh have meta builds I'm sorry you're just going to have to have meta builds if you you want to do contest mode and anything my concern actually it's not I'm concerned it's my criticism is why are we doing this now why is it taken this long to get to the point where they start doing creative things like contest mode the community has asked for years to have that just be a thing that you can toggle on uh but we're applying it to Dungeons and they could have done it years ago why is it the game dying and it has been dying the population's going to a dramatic low like anyone who's ignorant and like it's not dying any to give excuses listen if people are more willing to play other games and not this game it's dying you know what happens when people stop playing a game or don't give it attention it dies like Concord we don't if you don't really really want that then you would appreciate people giving feedback that helps improve the game so that more people want to play it I'm just saying it's not hard it really isn't hard criticism and feedback isn't a bad thing it just blows my mind anyways you can also by the way I'm I'm giving them praise for doing the contest mode for dungeons you can praise them for listening to some feedback but you can also criticize them at the same time for we just now doing it 10 all these I wouldn't say 10 years all these years that dungeons have existed and we're just now getting day uh contest mode dungeons but at least they're doing something right I can't I can praise them and saying thank you for finally doing it but I'm not GNA I'm not going to jerk you off Bungie I'm sorry I'm going to say it's a w but I'm not jerking you off because it's not earned like I'm sorry I'm going to criticize you for the last minute it changes but I'm going to comp I'm going to compliment you for actually doing something let's see more if we can see more then I'm going to compliment and give some Praises on that I'm a fair guy like people think oh you're just always negative no I will give praise and compliments when it is there when there's something to compliment I'm not going to jerk them off but I will praise them when it's deserved when they've done something like wow okay that's that's great this is a w it's a challenge for the veterans and it gives uh people who normally wouldn't do day ones because they feel like they're inadequate incapable of doing it dungeons is a lot more accessible so it allows more people to try a contest mode activity that is a w which is what we need if you want people to come back and play your game you need to try to work on the inclusivity of said game and make people want to play it and having a little challenge like contest mode on a dungeon where more people have more access to that's a w now it is dated by paying you have to pay for it uh so some people may be waiting to see as the first clear is done people are going to want to see okay is it worth my money we'll see I will be playing it one one way or another so if you want to see me live stream it I know you probably Exotic Mission overall I mean you can pretty much tell by watching the week to week uh thoughts but we're going to really kind of hold for my review I have not started I've started a script but I've not really done it I'm going to tell you right now it's probably going to make a lot of people mad uh it's going to like make a lot of people mad and then sword uh sword logic moments I think that's cool I mean that's neat being able to try to I appreciate people with the fashion that are trying to make their their builds look like characters I've seen some really good ones uh pretty cool I saw like an attack on Titan Titan it's pretty juice I'm not going to lie it's pretty cool uh yeah I find this interesting like is it I've seen a lot lot of esoteric but like do do we is this like a a yearly thing where we just give esoteric or random emblem because he does something solo like how many people soloed this with swords or just anything in general I I don't know maybe it's because it's Black Talon and we're like yo Black Talon I don't know oh no I'm not hating I'm just saying like out of all the things that people post for movie of the week that it's always questionable what they choose uh Skywatch listen this this is this week in Desy they're not even talking about the 10th anniversary anymore nowhere in here are they talking about the 10th anniversary holy crap they're not even talking about it by the way I'm correcting myself because I'm pretty sure this is the movie of the week right here this is the movie of week but I guess I don't know if sword they get an emblem for the sword logic one I don't know either way uh I correct myself before people get mad this is your movie of the week Destiny 1 2 Destiny movie of the week I don't know what this is uh watch it if you like I do love the art though the art is like this is really cool while we talk uh this that we're talking about this week in Destiny I have realized how desperate the the shields the bungee Bots The Defenders the ball fers are I made a video right here it's called greedy Bungie wants you to pay wants you to pay to celebrate 10 years of Destiny and the amount of people who are so dumb just dumb D MB these u d dum dum dumb I was not saying that you had to pay it wasn't you have to pay people are like it's optional of course it's optional I said Bungie wants you to pay to celebrate because all you do is go around a the lot the pale heart Tower you open up a chest you get a armor set and then you go to the Tower and you get a transmog set and then you wear it by killing stuff in the cosmic drone get engrams and then you get your seal like there's other stuff but it's just like useless pointless stuff that isn't an like my point of this video was this is not an event look at Warframe in their events look at hell I said World of Warcraft has their ongoing uh event for their 20th and they celebrated it and they got a bunch of transmogs and they kind of they tweaked a raid that was a dungeon but now it's a raid again someone tried to explain it in the comment section but either way they did something Bungie has done nothing except hey you're going to get an ice breaker for the new dungeon which you have to pay and I was like okay so all the things that they're trying to sell you that is celebrating like the Icebreaker is a paid item the nothing and then as soon as you get the 10th year Legend seal 10 years is a big thing and I tried to say the way that Bungie is trying to celebrate is by you giving them money for a Nerf Ace you can like the ace you can spend money on the ace but the point is still not any different that they put more effort into trying to get you to buy things than actually celebrate 10 years of Destiny 10 years of people being part of the community 10 years of people sticking by Bungie side they could have done many things in the comment section said a lot of things one of them was adding an onslaught map with maybe one or two new guns that would have been a lot I suggested doing like a raid modifier and like a fun week like sword week was but with raade stuff like they did the bare minimum they put more effort into their 30th edition anniversary for Bungie as a whole with a with dares of attorney which was free and then you paid for a Content pack which is fine you know you did a free thing then you're going to sell more content in between that's fine at least you're giving something and people are like you're just what you want you just want to make free things they got to make money funny how Warframe is 100% free and is still thriving more than what Bungie is it's crazy how many people have been laid off at digital extremes NEX on 100% free Diablo once you buy the game once all the seasons are free all the events free man it's almost like there's been games that do free events it's crazy it's almost like they want their players to enjoy the game I'm sorry I I like I get mad and ragy because stupid people you can't fix stupid but you can point it out laugh at it and then just encourage people not to be stupid take your medicine Granny it's time to not be stupid overall and and like I think a perfect example is people are trying to push this narrative that people just want more content like this we have bog on my dog GNA start doing challenges and other activity and other games the destiny player base is just Bungie give me new content every day because I'm a child that needs a new toy I think this is ignorance this is tone death and this is the problem with the a big part of the destiny community that people aren there are people that do just want nonnu content but what people want is quality listen I'm saying for the 30 the 10th anniversary yeah you should have some content absolutely you should do something more than just hey go collect chest when other games do more or go beyond what Bungie does so like there's no excuse as a consumer and the value proposition yes when other games do more than what Bungie does I expect better I have self-respect as a consumer and so does the community that's why 90% of the player population has left this game uh I think this is kind of toned deaf it is ignorant not everyone just wants non-stop content we want good content we want quality content it is very ignorant to act like oh everyone is wanting complaining or criticizing something which is not what he's saying by the way it's not what he's saying I'm saying that for other people who have made comments on videos and on Twitter not him I want to make that very clear I'm not putting words in this person's mouth or she I'm not in this person's mouth I'm not putting in that I'm not putting that but what I'm saying is this mentality is baffling now I agree 100% with this because there are some people that are just listen don't be don't be a a douchebag doing cool challenges considered desperate running out of ideas like okay man maybe or trying to make the game fun yeah just there is nothing wrong with like I do masters with like unmet builds or random things and I do it because I try to make it fun when you do the same thing over and over again it does get boring so you you literally play in a way that's different which is what you should do for video games that you want to play like if you are bored of a game either stop playing it or mix up what you're doing and guess what I mix up what I do who who to Thun uh so I I mean I I am always uh impressed with speedrunners and low man and all that stuff I think that's fine I Kudos do you do I think you know there's a lot of people in that community that want to jerk themselves off and think they're the bees knees and then there's some people that just do it not for clout they do it just for the fun and excitement and the thrill of it which kudos to them I just want to put that out there because uh I have made videos about uh stuff like this uh and people are like like use meta stuff why are you using stuff in the gym you're using trash well duh of course I'm showing you that you can use any weapon uh in in a in a GM and make it work by the way I'm taking this as segue the reason I'm also talking about GMS I have two more videos for the last week of GMS if you're still around watching this so if you're like why is he posting more Destiny content it's because one I already pre-recorded and played them and two uh there is still a pocket people on the community that do like watching those videos I mean it's one of the few things that I do enjoy still in Destiny is Grand Masters so uh let me know in the comments even though you are you're tired of Destiny if you were still interested in Grand Masters I'm still debating whether I even want to care enough to do videos for Grand masters with the next episode but if you are let thumb up and tell me in the comments are you interested or if you even if you don't like Destiny are you still interested just to see uh just to see uh
