you another major Milestone on the road to Olympic history in Utah the international Olympic Committee met in Switzerland today news specialist Garner Mah has the details hi garna yeah good afternoon you guys well we're hearing from the international Olympic committee's executive board they've made that official proposal to bring the Olympics back to Utah in 2034 it's hom stretch from here they say to propose Sal Lake City Utah as the host of the Olympic par Olympic Winter Games 2034 in Switzerland today the international Olympic Committee inching one step closer to a repeat of the 2002 Winter Games ioc leaders told Deseret news reporter Lisa Riley roach that everything is lining up for a confirmation vote next month uh Utah and Salt Lake City project is a really great project and uh with a very very strong engagement from the private side I think Salt Lake City would be ready to start the Olympic Winter Games tomorrow but uh they have still time it's a lot of work but the Victory lap is just around the corner and you know with that Victory lab just around the corner we have just two more big dates before we hear this official announcement happening June 26th there's going to be a virtual presentation that'll be made to all the ioc members then on July 24th they'll all gather together in Paris make that official final vote to hopefully sign seal and deliver these Olympic Games back to Utah I'll send it back to you guys yeah we're all counting on it to happen so thanks a lot garam here live
