ruter last year 7- six 3- six conference two and four division as I just mentioned Athan cik Manis is now their quarterback over from Minnesota and man you're hitting on something here right now a lot of people talk about Iowa being the pain in the butt team to play on the Big 10 schedule I think that's what Ruckers wants to be to be honest with you now we're going to get to their offense in just a second but I mean if you look at some of their you look at some of their numbers here defensively right now I mean this team does time a possession they try and grind it down they try and keep the points low and then obviously they're hoping cmis maybe makes a couple of throws moving forward so I mean are you buying into I don't want to say Iowa light but are you saying that they're the possible team on the schedule that no one wants to play I think so um because I think they're they're a very well- coached team Greg giano has has been doing that from years back to when I was at Northwestern just watching Ruckers that was their Prime right what they did is they ran the ball well right they had a quarterback in teal that can sling the thing and Cal Manis that's that's going to be the difference this year if he can air it out because Joey I believe I don't think they've had over 2,000 yards passing in about eight or so Seasons something like that eight to 10 seasons some something along those lines so they they need to get The Passing game going I think for them they're well coached team they play great defense they usually don't turn the ball over too much had seven wins a season ago but if they can air it out that's going to be a constant theme that we were talking about with the Big 10 because most of these teams have a very great Run game but what's lacking the the air game so that for Ruckers is going to be the next step to where they are I think Greg shano is doing all the right things I think he's recruiting well again like back when I was still in high school I think it comes down to the quarterback position for them I think if he could have a great season and he doesn't have to light it up but think about how how low the bar has been nobody can get to 2,000 yards so think about if if they if if he goes a little above that if he goes for 3,000 now we're really talking I think they this is a year and looking at their schedule you know there's some opportunities here where there's some winnable games especially early on they got a chance to potentially go three and 0 um you know 4-0 maybe Washington it's it's a very winnable game especially with all that they graduated then I'm looking at Nebraska that's a winnable game as well Wisconsin Right Cory Cory look at their schedule man yeah I'm in agreement with you right there there's no Oregon on here there's no Michigan there's no Ohio State these are some really favor matchs for a ruter team that could surprise and I'm with you man I think they could get to eight wins I really do no I I do I think this is their year especially to capitalize on a weaker schedule right you look at at all these teams a year ago if you looked at Washington you say oh shoot Michael pennick Roman dun all these talented people and now you know I think their hardest game probably is going to be maybe Virginia Tech or Washington uh something along those lines um so I think for them this is a this is a year where where they can go one up from what they did last year keep bu building momentum and Ruckers what do they say as New Jersey team I think a lot of people from my neck of the woods are really starting to support them and especially now to shano's back so I think this is I think this is a season where they can definitely get eight wins yeah what can they get from cic Manis you mentioned the 2,000 passing yards we're here in Chicago I'm getting Chicago Bears triggered a little bit right now before we get off off Ruckers but I just love the running back Kyle manangi over 1,200 rushing yards eight scores last year I think when we talk about a Darius Taylor I also think about a Kyle manun Guai that can really surprise be one of the better running backs in the Big 10
