the interstate right now again multiple people have been shot around Exit 49 of the I75 freeway in Laurel County Kentucky the freeway is closed in the area huge law enforcement search going on uh the S Person of Interest is 32y old Joseph a couch considered armed in dangerous that is from the police uh he is 510 ways Pro 154 pounds 32 years old white male and he reportedly from the scanner the scanner said that he bought an AR this morning and 2,000 rounds also there was a report on the scanner that sounded like he had told somebody this is unconfirmed but the scanner had a report which sounded like he had told some somebody that he was going to kill people today oh T green SUV like that the scanner also suggested he might have military experience um there are two Kentucky State Police helicopters in the area this is another one that just showed up on the top there this is flight radar [Music] thopters there are multiple [ __ ] looks for me I'm sorry looks like that got put my windows um yeah that's what what I heard Willie are you you can now see both of those helicopters right in the area two Kentucky State Police helicopters now in that area searching there have been a couple of reports that seem to possibly be stings of this person uh several miles to the east uh those have not been confirmed there was one report about five miles to the east of the highway that somebody had seen somebody without a shirt firing gunshots there was another report about 8 mil east of the highway where somebody said that they were hearing a bunch of gunshots um but I can't say for sure if either of those were this person uh but those will be you know to the east over here in this area uh and um you know yeah it's not clear where he is right now though that there is one person that's being looked for though according to the law enfor they have put out a picture of one person of interest so far did you hear that yeah sister-in-law the sister-in-law called in and said the suspect has been and then two more now it's 900 p.m there now by the way so I assume it's it's there's 10,000 people when you pull this name up talking about him the scanner said the sister-in-law said he had like threatened to kill the family had like threaten I'm gonna I'm gonna put that on again I I'll Replay that if I can [Music] okay that was a replay but the sister-in-law says he has made statements to kill everybody in the family this is wild this is going to go on all night maybe this will be going on all night with police and everything in the world out this this by the way this other helicopter kept going so maybe this other Kentucky State helicopter wasn't searching I mean we thought it was search but it it kept going helicopters going around this house and still searching this helicopter now is going I mean this would it would be all the way down here it would be south of London so we'll see if the helicopter goes down oh the other helicopter's down here so ah so we have two helicopters now this helicopter is down here but I don't know if this second one is searching the first one has been searching up here where the shooting was the initial shooting the second one is still down here moving south for all I know it's not SE so we'll keep an eye on both of these helicopters now this one actually is up here this one is this one is searching up here again multiple people have been shot multiple severe injuries reported around Exit 49 of I75 freeway in Laurel County Kentucky there is a large law enforcement search going on local state and federal including ATF are involved in this investigation uh there is a person of Interest armed and dangerous considered armed and dangerous his name is Joseph A cou that is released by law enforcement he is 510 uh around 510 154 pounds a 32y old white male um and you can see uh he is a person of interest in the shooting that occurred at the East 49 Kentucky 909 area uh do not attempt to approach him contact law enforcement if you see him and u uh the scanner said there was on the scanner there was a report that he bought an AR-15 this morning with 2,000 an AR an AR not there was a report on the scanner that he bought an AR this morning with 2,000 rounds also the scanner reported that his sisterinlaw his his sister-in-law said he had made statements to kill the family um there is the helicopter they're searching the other helicopter is still going so the other helicopter 22 22 they're still talking about old Whitley Road somebody at Old whitly load 2216 said that they saw the shooter in their front yard we heard that on the scanner that's all the way down here that's significantly further south it's about 10 mil I could have been there by now they might be checking that out right now I could I want it down there if I had a r 22 Old welcome to the journey on crack 40 we'll have a regular maybe that's where the person is maybe somebody saw somebody who looked like the shooter but is an act shooter um you know so we have not heard any any reliable reporting of two Shooters there's only been uh one person of interest photo released um I'm not saying there isn't more than one shooter there could be but right now we have one information on one person BR what are you doing he also report earlier on the scanner that that somebody said it sounded like they were talking about the suspect that somebody said the suspect had military experience and said he was going to kill several people today so again that's unconfirmed but those are all things we heard on the scanner so uh where this did happen is up here you can see the either side the highway is closed like several miles 10,000 people talking about5 just closed um and this happened around I at Exit 49 which is here there was some reports suggesting that the um that the shooter shot from an elevated area I don't know if that's true um there are Hills on either side of that freeway near that exit um oh my God list to this multiple severe injuries reported we don't have an exact number of people hit um so we'll have to wait on that and uh they are just C wow reports from Crystal York on Facebook her cousin received word that samis moved in around to surround the Harland independent bus to protect and keep them safe wow that's how close to our local kids was Varner the quarterback in them it's a very wooded area as you can see I mean on googleing to get mobile up there it is a lot of woods around that area people are still stuck obviously the internet's dying and uh this is why so he is just still showing go back to the helicopter where it happened uh oh did we lose the helicopter on scanner there's one here no that's a that's a medical helicopter I don't know if this is related that is a medical helicopter which took off from l in Kentucky which is you know a few miles away from where this happened so that yeah up the road when you hit Livingston you're still like [ __ ] I still got a while before I get off the interstate didn't they before you know it you're off the interstate could be a medical helicopter that is transporting somebody who was shot I do not know I don't know that is a medical helicopter um and said that the in terms of the Kentucky State Police helicopters somebody would be victims and ambulances I don't know if it's the leex police Le police somebody's going to go to London or wherever and escort the victims and ambulances uh to UK for to the hospital F has made it to Vapes that's crazy it looks like May maybe those State Police helicopters are no September 7th a second so at 5:30 p.m arriving deputies found nine Vehicles had been shot into both North and South damn bro nine both North and Southbound on I75 and five persons were seriously injured deputies on seing transported injured to a local hospital for treatment other sheriff's deputies along with the Sheriff's Office Special Response Team along with London city police and Kentucky State Police arrived at the scene to secure the scene I75 was closed for several hours for safety reasons because of the danger to passing cars in the area of the shootings investigations began and a lead was developed on A Person of Interest and the search for this person of interest is continuing he's identified as Joseph a couch 32 years old of Woodbine Kentucky described as 510 and weighing approximately 154 PBS this indiv this individual is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached not one should be called the scene is being contained overnight and an active search and the continuing investigation will occur at Daybreak Sunday morning all right that's that's a great update because we can come back in the morning when they start searching again if
