A 'Historic Soccer win' for CANADIANS vs. U.S.A.

so this is another very uh great uh afternoon here uh as usual I'm beaming with happiness I'm baming with expectations uh so many expectations uh we have some great great fixtures lined up for this weekend uh and uh I would like to welcome you uh onto this channel uh today we taking a much deeper dive into soccer analysis uh so I'm going to be analyzing uh um um a game that I just came off watching uh but before that I would like to run you to the idea that this weekend things are kicking a little bit different from um you know a usual typical weekend uh so uh speaking of which so instead of having the usual uh or in L of having the usual Club level matches uh we have international games International matches countries playing against other countries within their uh Regional uh locality uh and um these games are very essential uh the football organ has kept these games Al alive and in existence uh for several reasons but I'm going to mention two of those reasons uh these games um will help the FIFA or FIFA will use them as a tool uh to determine what is teams to uh you know rise up on the FIFA ranking and what teams to drop down on these very FIFA ranking and at the same time uh these games can help a team to you know it's more like a horning Tool uh if there is an impending or an upcoming um you know soccer competition an international soccer competition cuz uh like for example just came out of the coopa America here and uh so many countries took part in uh in that competition so these International matches they will help horn up um you know horn up or sharpen up a team uh leading into these very crucial um you know World stage uh you know type of competitions uh so that makes uh these International matches uh very and very essential in in the soccer World so having um You Know spoken at length as to why uh these uh very matches are important uh I would like to move on uh and talk about a game that I just came off watching uh this game uh was the US men uh men's soccer team again is the Canadian men soccer team uh such a beautiful such an interest such an interesting team uh and uh I felt entertained uh throughout uh this very game um and uh maybe it's uh about uh right or the right time to bring up uh some few um you know just some few things that have been stewing up behind the scenes um in the recent past uh this United States team has come under sharp criticism uh and much of these uh criticism uh circles around uh their their their recent performances uh and uh due to that they've gone ahead to overhaul their whole Squad uh they've let go um of some very uh seasonal uh but at the same time you know very mature players that they had um you know that they had in their team and at the same time they had an opportunity to bring in a new head coach just somebody who would come in and bring in new ideas creative ideas and that sort of a thing so going into this uh game um you know the US Canada game I mean the expectations the anticipation has been building up building up to um you know to a point whereby you know especially the US uh Team supporters they want their team to perform they want their team to start winning again to ReDiscover their winning mod their winning tactic uh so that is yet to come out um they have not been able to replicate uh the U uh the US team that everybody knew some years back so so much uh talking point uh the media is out to grill uh this very team so that's what makes this very game um a very interesting game to watch uh so uh maybe just taking a quick jump uh into the first half of this game uh the game started out uh really quiet uh but uh a few minutes in uh the Canadian team started exacting uh their Dominion or pressing style football uh on these United States team uh so they had uh I mean very um I mean you know very uh you know bone chilling moments whereby uh these Canadian team ventured out uh to in uh to close the United States team um in uh to a point whereby they couldn't uh play their usual uh you know play from behind style uh and uh when you see teams do that when you see teams exact that kind of pressure uh on another team uh they trying to get them to commit defensive mistakes defensive errors and that's exactly what happened as far as the first goal uh in this game uh so there was uh that instance whereby uh the goal the goalie um you know picked out one of his Defenders uh to you know uh you know to to to play the you know to play the ball uh and uh like I said it's playing from behind and uh this def and uh I supposedly uh he wasn't mentally prepared for these very pass of which they should be but he wasn't so uh in the course of doing that uh he miscued uh this ball to um a Canadian player by the name uh by the name Jonathan David uh who uh has been outstanding uh throughout uh this game I mean from the get go from the time this game uh started out uh to this very Point uh Jonathan David has I mean he has exhibited or manifested uh the best side of his uh soccer you know uh you know soccer skills uh and um you know in such a pivotal moment in such a crucial critical moment I mean all the eyes on him uh and uh the kind the kind of um you know quick thinking quick quick decision making uh he made uh was quite outstanding so he passed this ball to um none other than Mark shaffle uh who had an open Coast to himself uh and as usual shaffle never Wast time to uh make clinical finishes he just drove home a very good very a beautiful goal uh so that gave uh this Canadian team uh their first goal um and um this um was one of the key highlights of this very first half uh maybe moving on uh there was another incident uh that uh you know followed um you know uh followed that um you know goal event uh and this had to do with a player by the name um Aly Johnson uh so he got pulled out uh CU he sustained a hamstring injury um and um I mean he tried to walk it off um you would uh see him um at some point trying to make a run across the field uh but the level of discomfort was so sublim uh it was so um you know was just so uh severe and um you know few minutes in uh he signaled the bench that uh you know he wants to be substituted of which that happened uh but fortunate enough that didn't kill that didn't uh through a ren uh into the works of these Canadian therefore uh these Canadian team uh went into um the intermission or the half uh the halftime break uh leading by a goal um so I'm going to move on and uh talk about uh the second period of the game uh the second half um of this game was a little bit different uh the United States team um came out uh a bit energized uh more creative and uh more pushy uh in terms of pressure uh they came out to um look uh to label out um uh this call line um so at the time they trailing by a goal uh and uh I think uh back in the dressing room uh the coach must have late uh a massive fire under their boots uh so that uh pep talk seem to have uh worked uh cuz they came out um steaming heart so uh but then uh in the course of uh pushing for um you know pushing for a tie uh unfortunately uh they ended up conceding a second goal I think somewhere in the 60th minute uh so they went down uh by two goals at the um yeah at that point uh but then um you know they push and um you know more like their you know clinical uh still carried on uh you know there were some moments or periods uh whereby uh the Canadian defense line uh seemed uh very panicky uh they seemed very disorganized uh and the United St the United States team um you know will have uh themselves to uh to blame for not taking uh these very open and clear uh you know chances uh to um you know put themselves uh on a tie uh with these uh Canadian team uh so um I think somewhere right at the very um you know I think halfway through uh the second period uh maybe in the 70th 75th minute uh the United States team H got one goal pulled back Cy of an open play a very nice uh threaded open play uh right from the goalie cuz they love to play from behind so they got that goal uh and that goal uh breathed a lot of life in them uh so they started pushing aggressively uh and at this point uh you could see the Canadian team hanging by a thread uh just trying as hard as they can to defend out uh these waves and um you know visious uh you know attacks that uh the United States uh kept shooting at them so I was very interesting at this point and uh you know this Canadian team should be very happy to have snu out with a 2-1 win uh so overall uh like I said uh this game uh was such an interesting game uh such a captivating uh griping game uh and uh I it just you know it just measured up to my expectations I was expecting a real Combat uh and that's what this very game delivered uh to me um so maybe going forward uh just a few areas uh that I would like to you know peek out on uh the Canadian team actually for them this is a historic win I was able to dig up some few statistics about um you know this team uh and one statistics uh stood out uh that uh the last time they won an a game against these United States team uh on the American soil was in 1957 I wasn't even born uh so 67 years ago is when they were able to pull a win against these United un States team so them winning uh this afternoon I mean that in itself uh first of all uh it's it tends to exercise those bad demons um and secondly I it gets them on the right track uh to you know just to uh pretty much um you know showcase or just to pretty much um you know send a statement out there that they no longer that frail um you know weakling uh team that people have always known that they you know they they have um a new metal to themselves and that they out to compete with the real world um as for the United States team um I mean like I mentioned at the beginning of this clip uh they have um a lot to improve on uh they made a very catastrophic very atrocious awful defensive erors and uh um I think the first game was as a result of uh a very bad defensive error at them trying to play from behind so in such cases uh they just need to go back on the drawing board uh tweak out uh a few things here and there uh and uh at this point point in time uh they have a very good coach um a new coach uh he's uh he has a very great track record uh so he should be able to guide them through uh on how to make all these adjustments uh but um like I said uh overall I was such a great a great game two Titans uh you know great great quality players on both sides of the Divide uh so I can't wait to watch them play again uh in the future so anyways I'm not going to make this video any longer so I hope you all have a great rest of your weekend
