On the offense's confidence yeah I think we've had a great energy um kind of to us all year and and uh and especially this fall camp and this summer so um I think you know we're a really tight group and kind of it's it's fun to come back uh and play another season with a lot of guys that I've already played with you know so uh just really excited I think we've had a great fall camp and just you know I think there's a great pulse to us for surecom Garrett kind of smiled yesterday and he said I can't wait to see Kade play Saturday can't wait to see him get out there is that the same for you now that you you've put in all this work in the off season you you've done the things that it takes to make yourself go to the next level now are you excited to just now kind of put it all in just go play yeah I mean obviously I'm just On his excitement to just go play excited to go out there and and go play a real game I mean just think about the other day you know I mean you never know how many games you have left so um just I'm excited to go play another game this is what you work for for um for every single day since the last game I played every single day I've woken up and and have gone to work excited to play another game and to put it to kind of put that work into life so um you know right now I'm focused on going to have the best practice I can go have today um and go go make myself better today and uh when Saturday comes around it'll come around but I'm really just honestly that's I know that's kind of been repetitive for me um this offseason of of taking it one day at a time but like even as close as we are to a game right now I'm still focused on what can I do today um to get better for that game yesterday you talking about a message you gave the team about you're only just now you know ready to get into GE for Georgia like you're not ready because you should have been doing this three months ago coule months ago where those kind of words your team yeah I mean obviously when you get On his message to the team this week to a game week um um you kind of wake up Monday morning and uh there's a natural excitement about you that you're just you know let say you're coming off a bye and you come back in on Monday um you're like all right it's game week let's go and I just kind of woke up Monday morning and I was like if I'm not you know I didn't wake up like all like with this energy that came out of nowhere like I'm like I woke up the same I have the last you know four weeks since we started fall Camp um and and with the same mentality I've kind of had all year so I and I just kind of spoke that to the team like hey if you're waking up with a different energy today than you have been every single day at fall camp like we've been doing fall Camp wrong you know because we should have had that mentality off all camp and I think we have had that mentality off all Camp so that was just like a little something that I just kind of thought of myself yeah said that you kind of grown into more of a genuine leader heading into this season how have you noticed yourself grow in the past three 65 days compared to heading into last season On his growth as a leader yeah um honestly just feel you know like I have a a a deeper and more meaningful relationship with my teammates um you know I think that you know quality relationships take time and obviously being here for my third year now um relationships will naturally grow deeper and deeper so just feel like you know the relationship that I have with the guys up front um just my ability to go approach them and and talk to stuff um that might be uncomfortable at times when you know things are going good or things are going bad but you know talking about how to really talk talk to each other um and has been really good and you know in practice Andy how how can we do these how can we do this and U but just kind of feel like that with those five for sure and but also just kind of with the whole team in general spoke about how it's kind of kind of difficult kind of learning the offense uh gar Riley system but he mentioned how Brian Wesco when he came in in January kind of learned it kind of fast I guess what have you seen from him learning learning The Playbook and translating that onto the field yeah On Bryant Wesco Jr. Brian's done a great job um he is you know he's he's all about his business first of all which I love I mean I've noticed that from the first time that um that he really stepped on campus is you know I think some guys you know depending on where you are will kind of step into campus especially as an early and Roy and um be oh I'm in college like let's go have fun but he he immediately stepped in and went to work um and that's that's really what I'm you know I've been most proud of him for as soon as he got here um he texted me texted you know the QB room text re receivers say let's go throw let's go get to work how can I learn the offense um I mean he's just you know has I don't think he's taken a day off like really I think he's just been about his business and um just truly wants to get better um just he a true competitor and you know just just wants to get better I mean I think he's he's following Antonio's footsteps for sure two guys that you know are very very elite players but um don't show it with their ego you know they just want to get better every single day and um just very humble guys that just want to get better which is great for that room you know on that same note what have you seen from TJ Moore now in his first fall camp and kind of going through that same process On T.J. Moore yeah uh you know he's been killing it U obviously you know very similar to Bryant in the sense of just coming to work every single day and um he's he's we got some great guys in that room right now so you know it wasn't like he was just going to be able to to walk in here and uh and start right away like like some people you know may have thought he was going to but he's he's an elite receiver and he's going to you know he's going to do a lot of great things for the Tigers in the next couple years so um you know it's it's going to be it's going to be a long season it's going to great it's going to be great to have them in there um you know shuffling in there and making plays for us excit any is there opening up the season against a team like Georgia the preseason number one ranked team in the country yeah uh you know Georgia's an On the added excitement that comes with playing an opponent of Georgia's caliber in Week 1 incredible opponent um definitely a huge honor for us uh to be able to face such a great team like that in an opener um you know coach Sweeny kind of spoke on it yesterday and said you know hey you know there's teams all around the country that are working their butt off for for 12 weeks straight to be able to go play a team like this in the playoffs right and we could start out with them in a regular season game so you know to have that right out of the gate is is huge and um definitely uh definitely uh just a great way to kind of start off the season and and Kickstart it you open the team when you open the season against a team like Georgia do you kind of notice more of a Buy in or an energy especially during game week when you know you're not playing a Charleston Southern or a citadel you're playing a team like geordan On if the added excitement leads to a different energy level uh yeah I mean honestly I think that our fuel um has really come from last year um and I think that you know since that Notre Dame week until now that's been our fuel um and that's really what we've been focused on because at the end of the day we're going to we're going to win or lose to Clemson um and that that could be to whoever you're talking about you know so um at the end of the day we're focused on being the best us that we can be and obviously excited for a great opponent week one there any lessons from last year at Duke where you know bar says hey I wasn't in in the right frame of mind I wasn't in shape any lessons you can take from that game On lessons that can be taken from last year's opener at Duke uh I think you know just having a great mentality in Fall camp and finishing I think we finished really well um in Fall camp and you know just just coming out hot and you know fiery I think that I think that's going to be good but you know obviously there's a lot of lessons from from that game and and you know we didn't play a great game honestly last year so you know just coming out and uh you know just playing a great game being the best we us we can be and just take care of the little things having Antonio and Tyler and Adam and Bryant TJ all these guys to throw to all these weapons that are finally healthy and and able to kind of go out there and line up On the luxury of having a full wide receiver room it's fun you know it's it's really fun um you know they're they're kind of some guys that you just you know you just put it in their Direction and they're going to come down with it you know so um you know it kind of takes a little bit stress off of me and and it's s where you know we we kind of got guys all over the place that I'm really excited about and excited for them to kind of go show it out you know Communications talk yesterday where is that balance in terms of giving you the information that you need but also not giving you too much information like how do you guys find that yeah it's On in-helmet communication with Garrett Riley and how they have handled it thus far definitely been kind of something that we've been talking about you know in a sense of you know what's too much and um he's done a great job of of kind of not over flooding me but also giving me information when I need to so kind of in our scrimmages and uh kind of game like stuff that we've been doing but um he's done a great job and I think that I've kind of just communicated honestly about um how you know I kind of want stuff presented to me and we' we've got a great relationship where we can do that you know it's it's uh it's definitely been great in the sense of of doing it in a uh I don't know just doing it well and efficiently yeah talk all the way up to the last like they do it I guess at the On the balance of not being overloaded with information with in-helmet communication end of the day I gotta go play quarterback you know and if if somebody's telling you to go do something and they're telling you 50 different things to go do it while you're doing it that's a lot you know what I mean we got enough stuff at quarterbacks and and he understands that he's played the position um so somebody's trying to talk to you while you're doing something the whole time and he just you know I give little things here and there as he's giv the play but um the end of the day you got to go play quarterback and it's it's a reactionary game and um so yeah was it like adjusting between the two different tempos of you know maybe your sh you're giving out the play and doing all that as opposed to like Tempo you guys s have signals to look at like what's that like going um honestly not much of a of a On the differences in signaling or calling in plays when going up-tempo change um you know I mean coaches do a great job of we do it enough in in different scenarios and different game likee scenarios so um it's it's not much of a it's not much different to be honest yeah it's pretty similar how does your game day routine look different for a game versus say night uh yeah I mean obviously you got less less preparation so you just got to you know kind of scoot up things a couple of hours um in a sense of you know making sure you honestly get a good night's rest on uh on Friday and then um you know really On difference in routine for noon games kind of pushing things up a little bit more uh and preparation wise and kind of knocking some more stuff out in the beginning of the week and and they really just taking care of your body um obviously it's you know it could be eight Less hours that your body gets to recover before actually playing a game so really taking really taking care of your body and make sure it's the freshest freshest it can be if that's a word um most fresh it can be uh but you know I mean at the end of the day it's it's about when the balls you know set down the whistles blow and you get ruin so um just taking care of it and having great preparation which our coaches do a great job of doing so defense you're watching the film on them yeah uh you know they've got a On Georgia's defense great defense a lot of guys that um you know are going to you know go play go play next level for a while and um it's exciting you know I think that I think we've got great guys on our defense that are preparing us every single day um that that when we show up you know we'll be ready for that and U but they've got a lot of great talent over there and it'll definitely be an exciting matchup and um you know they've got a bunch of great great players on that side any question question for Kate over hey K it's ch with The State newspaper um I don't think we've asked you about this uh the new haircut uh is this the longest your hair has ever been and what's kind of the the mindset behind it I think Antonio said it's giving you like a new level of of confidence or something he says he likes the mullet I'm not really going for that On his new hairstyle mullet look I know just kind of growing it out and see what happens but I'll probably end up getting the trim in the next week or so but uh I don't know just kind of started and now it's going and I haven't really thought about it much it's just kind of going right now any final questions from the with playing Georgia and Carson back what excites you on a quarterback battle like that on a big stage like on Saturday yeah uh you know got to hang On Carson Beck out with Carson at uh you know Manning Passing Academy the summer and um was definitely fun to hang out with him and kind of chat about it a little bit but you know's he's a great player and excited to to kind of see how the of his his career goes obviously he's going to have a a long uh you know nfo career so excited to see him and you know I think that uh you know it it'll be good to see him yeah pointers um kind was talking about you On advice Nick Foles gave him know have have a have a good communication between you and your OC um about kind of wins too much and wins not enough to kind of hey give it again um kind of stuff like that but um kind of really basic things that you know coach Ryan had already talked about um but kind of good things to talk through and stuff so yeah anything else for for something for later on um running down the hill what do you teach the Freshman what do you teach them what's the best thing to do running down the hill yeah like as you're running down the On advice to players running down the Hill for the first time hill like to jump or what don't fall I mean that's probably the best piece of advice you can be given if any of yall run down that Hill it's pretty steep um so don't fall uh but just enjoy it I mean I'll that that first time coming around the bus um kind of seeing a sea of orange it's it's pretty it's pretty awesome so uh definitely just enjoy it and then you know look around soak in the moment and they get on that field and let's roll yeahum in the anything like that I do a little On what he does when he runs down the Hill something but you know I don't want to you know fall
