e good evening I'm Mrs Aster and welcome to Stellar news TV in a developing story surrounding the iconic rock band linoln Park Chester bennington's son haime has revealed that he's facing aggressive back Flash from some fans after publicly criticizing the band's decision to hire Emily Armstrong as their new lead vocalist Chester Bennington who served as the lead singer for over a decade tragically died by suicide in 2017 heimy took to Instagram to express his concerns about Armstrong specifically citing her alleged TI to Scientology and previous support for actor Danny Masterson who was convicted of raping to women and sentenced to 30 years to life in prison in his emotional statement haime shared that he has received hateful messages from fans there are a lot of people saying some really awful things to me haime said he also expressed concern for his safety saying I don't think I feel safe going to the show under general admission I don't know who would recognize me or take it upon themselves to respond to me in an aggressive manner when I'm just there to see the show despite the harassment hey still plans to attend the band's upcoming concert in Los Angeles on September 11th as Lincoln Park prepares to release their first album since Chester's passing haime feels some fans have crossed the line he emphasized so many of these Lincoln Park fans who will be attending have been cruel unusual and aggressive in another emotional statement he added you didn't care when my dad died if you did you would understand why this is all wrong in a follow-up message haime asked fans Not to harass him or his partner during the concert saying if anything happens to me or my partner it is on Lincoln Park haim's criticism of the band stemmed from his belief that hiring Armstrong quietly erased his father's Legacy he also accused the band of betraying the fan base particularly during Suicide Prevention month in contrast Armstrong addressed the controversy saying she had distanced herself from from Masterson and does not condone abuse stating to say it as clearly as possible I do not condone abuse or violence against women Lincoln Park is now set to embark on a six date Arena tour in support of their new album from zero with concerts scheduled in Los Angeles New York Hamburg London soul and Bogota the band's new album is set for release on November 15th we will continue to follow this story as it develops stay with Stellar news TV for more updates I'm Mrs Esther thank you for watching
