we all obviously found out over the last couple of days that I I guess added duties this year I know you you're returned a couple last year uh G give me the thoughts on returning these punts Karen yeah you know it's something that you know like you said I've done before you know something I'm not a stranger to um and this allows me to be able to you know attack a game in a different way allowed me to get into space with the ball and make you know explosive plays happening um I'm excited for what we got in store this year yeah I mean it's it obviously it's the ram saying hey we want to get the ball in kirn's hands as many times as we possibly can but what about that just the team obviously realizing recognizing that you are an incredibly dangerous weapon yeah I think it's I think it's cool and I think it's something you know that it takes in account for you know how I just how I play this game and you know you know I'm excited you know to do that but also I'm I'm I'm still focused on mainly you know being a running back you know that's that's what I do that's how you know I make my living you know and so that's just you know I'm excited for that you know I've been working super hard just to be able to continue to keep growing in that you know growing and you know being able to get better um and so I'm excited for you know this the season up the season to come you know and what we have in store as an offense have you gotten any like DMS or messages from fantasy football owners like hey you know those those punt return touchdowns don't count a lot of times has anyone said anything to you yeah no they're definitely the main their mainly focused is make sure you don't get hurt make sure why is why is coach McVey doing this those are all the type of things that's going on they're not really concerned about um what what what results have they just want to make make sure that I'm not on there don't get hurt right yeah uh talk to me about I mean you're you know you're you're 300 yard you're third and rushing last year you playing only 12 games you were I think 300 and change yards behind CAC he played in four more games I mean if you you obviously play more games you lead the lead in rushing last year second Team all pro pro bowler what personally are the goals this year Kiren after such an incredible season last year and I think it's just to continue to continue to do what I you know what I left left left on doing you know it's just it's not to double those or to Triple those or do any double nothing it's just to continue to uh be the person I am you know play the game the way that I play you know my goal is every season is always to have a th yards I think that's very minimum that you I got to do um so you know I have basic goals like that but you know there is no man go go be a two-time pro bowet go be a two-time All Pro like no it's I'm going to let that happen and that's going to happen by the way I play and so you know I'm just focused on you know just being me being who I am and just being able to play this game the way I play it when those accolades do come in though because of all the hard work and because of your performance on the field it's got to feel good right especially for a young guy like yourself I mean that's a second Team all pro that's yeah just being an NFL player obviously ly is uh incredibly rare and difficult but I mean second Team all pro is amazing yeah no that's definitely a blessing to be able to be recognized by you know peers and you know other people that you know watch the game and be able to you know be able to be able to name that you know that's something that's it's definitely cool for sure but you know it's gota I can't dwell on those type of things you know I just can't walk around and you know say that's that's who I am now I got to continue to keep proving that and that's what I'm doing you know obviously you care um and your focus is on how the team performs on the field uh 10 G you win 10 games last year obviously the 49ers one of the best records in the entire league how how do you look at the West this year and is this uh is the mindset hey we're going to go win this division yeah I think that's the mindset every year mindset is to go win at all I mean that's just you know who who we we we PA we believed ourselves to be you know we put in the work to you know be able to have that confidence to say that we can go do those type of things you know that started from last year and so you know I just think um the vision is a lot more clearer than it's ever been since I've been here uh to where we can go and it's just you know it's exciting to be able to work every single day to have that Clarity and that that you know that mindset to where you know we're not selling for Less you know we're going and we're winning and so um that's just it's it's cool to be able to you know work like that be able to have that you know as a team I I know the answer to the question but do you feel like with the group of guys that you have in that room that that you guys are fully capable of of winning this Division and and making the playoffs and making run in the playoffs yeah I think the guys that we have we can compete against anybody every every 31 other team in the league I think with this with this team I'm confident enough to put him against any put them up against anybody so you know um yeah I got all I got all the belief in the in the world that those guys in a room can get it done you know I'm on on Twitter I'm looking and I see Aaron Donald out there just casually beating lesea McCoy in a in a foot race the guy clearly in shape have you tried to Lobby him kyen you got one more in you yeah I mean shoot I there's not much I can say it looks like he's enjoying life off the field you know he's doing everything he's back with his family and whatnot so it seems like he's enjoying what he's doing other the field but you know we wouldn't mind having him back no we wouldn't I wouldn't mind at all would Pro probably be a help right to the defense uh kyen talk to me before I let you go you are uh teaming up with Direct TV Direct TV for business uh to be exact what do you got going on yeah I just I partner with Direct TV for business because for me it was a no-brainer you know I grew up I love football whether that's college football or any other any other sports I love sports competitive anything that nature I just gotta watch it you know that's something cool and so I just remember always growing up that we would go Sundays and go watch NFL you know at Buffalo Wild Wings or any type of bars that you know there there was locally and so you know that's just something that when they came with me the idea to being able to partner with them and you know I I thought back to those times where it would be me my dad and my friends just watching watching the football games eating wings it was a no-brainer for me so now that now that um all the fans can you know know that and now they can go experience of that it's it's something that you know it's so some cool and it's a full circle moment that that's so cool I probably never could have imagined this happening uh let me get you out of here on this one how excited are are you for that Sunday night game I mean you're not starting at like one o00 on a Sunday we got Sunday night against the Lions time that's about as good as it gets yeah this is it's about this is this is football you know this is Sunday Night Football this is what like I said growing up this is what I used to watch grow going to bed you know and so you know being a be able to be in these positions you know it's a blessing and I thank God every day for it and it's just got to remember that you know this is what he this is what he made me put me on here to do and so this is you know I'm got all the confidence to go you know have fun and go play the game and so you know I'm ready for it
