at 108 today marked the hottest day in 11 years in San Antonio and that was a record high for the day relief is on the way we're starting a downward Trend tomorrow still hot don't get me wrong 104 which would be a record high by one degree and right at 100 Friday upper 90s this weekend and next week in the mid90s so relief is right around the corner a few popup showers again possible tomorrow afternoon particularly in the Hill Country and all the way down to Highway 90 but there is that isol chance and then next week holds a little bit of Hope and a little bit of Promise as well those isolated showers here's a look at the future cast that's on board with some of that activity highly isolated but quick Splash and Dash downpours between 400 p.m. and 10 p.m. Thursday afternoon and into the evening again favoring Hill Country a little bit but some of them can make it down to Highway 90 as well okay let's talk about our heat from today 10 1008 the high that's a record by 3° for the day which was set last year and it's actually it's only been this hot five other times in recorded history in San Antonio it ranges from 1986 to the 2000s actually the year 2000 in September was our hottest temperature ever when we hit 111 Del Rio had a record high temperature of 112 earlier this afternoon that was the hot spot in our local area
