baby so you know why we here we're coming here this second week in a row we got to come in talk about this wonderful big victory Michigan State with comeback Victory against the Maryland a Revenge from what happened last year Michigan State pulled it out 27 to 24 man Bri man what's going on with you brother how you feeling man I'm feeling good man like this uh you know a last minute field goal hey man and it's it's uh it feels good it feels good to win today uh unlike uh another school but we we we going to get we going to get to that we going to get to that later on we going to get to that later on but yeah let's let's talk about it man let's talk about this Michigan State Victory they pulled this Victory out today 27 to 24 man we thought we knew it was going to be a close game you know Maryland is a good team um they was going to they a good offensive team they not so much great on defensive the great defensive te but you know Michigan State knew they was going to go on the road in a good environment um in Maryland they was going to put up a fight and and Michigan State Defense and off offense played a little bit better than last week but that defense again they they they they been but they didn't break you know they made plays where they need to make plays and Michigan State Defense they did they did they did they did their job fars they made Maryland AR had to earn every bit of it you know it kind of started off a little rocky maryn was moving the ball you know they was they was getting getting little Gro a little early I'm fact with the Michigan State tur the ball over three times aen child something we definitely got to talk about to get that cleaned up yeah but yeah definitely definitely but Michigan State pulled out that Victory man listen it was you know it it was back and forth it was up in there Michigan State you know down four you know down uh early in the game came back tied it wining the halftime with a 174 lead and then it was like back and forth back and forth man it was just and then Michigan State you know they tied it up and then they end up kicking the game with the field goal get the victory man so Bri great Victory great your thoughts on this Victory man it's it's it's a much needed one on the world uh you can see you can see that they're they were more relaxed like the first game you see you could with some Jitters you know Aiden Charles had you know Jitters and stuff it's very first uh start so you know he's going to have his Jitters it seemed like he had a little Jitters today but you know he he controlled it he um he he did his thing and um this team just got a lot of heart and that defensive line man oh man man come on now y'all gota y'all gota give it to him that this defensive line what it matter most they did their thing absolutely saying running game was a little better too AB absolutely man you know well I'm not going to say the running game was kind of it was it was okay um but you know it was it was it it still was great you know like I said the running game is still a little issue like I said we got a new offensive line um but it's the running game you know it's still some work need to be done with that but you know like you said we matter of fact Bri let's go ahead and look at at these stats yeah let's look at the let's look at the tail of the tape let's look at that so Aiden Childs went 24 for 39 363 yards 3 TDS three interceptions um that third the three touchdowns that which including the one that was the tie the game which that 77 yard bomb to man it's it was Marsh Marsh man and we definitely got to talk about him shortly but Aiden Charles he played better you know what I'm saying he played a little bit better than he played last week last week he had a terrible terrible game he even said it you know after the postgame conference uh when they play Florida Atlantic uh he played terrible he you know what I'm saying he he pulled this on his shoulders he been he's blame himself for the terrible performance that he did and um you know he came out Michigan State they just couldn't really get the running game going like that and they start swinging the ball and you know he made some good throws and he made some you know a lot of questionable throws which those three interceptions was some questionable throws like he was just trying to do too much but he's only 18 years old be 19 um he's he's going to the more he gets his footing he's going to progress he's going to get better so breed man so what you think about you know ay Charles man I think uh I I think he's going to be fine man I just think that the more the season goes around I think he's gonna get better I think he just going through you know um like you said he's young he's got to make mistakes I mean he had he hads today he also had so you got to give the guy credit because he it it he he still went out there and competed and he didn't let those interceptions get to him and you got to give him credit for that and you got to give you know his team for just let um giving him confidence tell them keep making them throws keep doing what you got to do and and that and that's key with this team you it's it's just young team lot of transfers and stuff like that um so they're actually trying to get the um the hang of being at Michigan State and some of the players that's been at Michigan state has to learn coach Smith's system too so everybody's pretty much learning as they go you know what I mean so I think be fine I think he yeah he Rush a little tra to do too do a littleit too much but that's what happens with um a Young quarterback and that's going to make that's goingon to make him better and and I'm rooting for this kid I know he's going to do well man I think as the season goes around I think he's going to do well but this is a game he just fought fought and fought and much power to him man I'm I'm I um I still he he's the future he is definitely the future of this team we we got a running quarterback you know it's a very talented one so it's like and it just and it also just with this team it also just with Coach Smith they believe in in his system they believe in this team play together on so I think uh he's gonna be future of 10 also he's he's going to be he's going to be a problem he's going to be a big problem absolutely man and um it got to get I got to get a credit to the coaching staff too man today man they came up with a good game plan um it was better game plan than what happened last week uh especially like you said offensively like I said was lot it was you know I'm not going to say it was a whole whole lot better but it was better than uh last week's uh game against Florida Atlantic so um you know Michigan State they was aggressive um at times and you know they made throws they had to make throws you know they and they did and um Aiden Charles he he put the ball in there you know um like I said he made some good throws he made some questionable decisions with those three interceptions he made some good throws with the three touchdown passes um he did what he had to do you know like I said it's going to be growth with him he's going to mat sure he's going to continue to get better um the more he keeps getting get those reps and the more he keeps playing and keeps you know the receivers and The Fosters and the marsh you know what I'm saying those are tight ends continue to you know to get them involved and had a good connection with these guys man they're going to continue to get better better each and every time so Ely got to got to get credit you know some of the coaching staff and they came with the game plan today and it worked out for the most part um and like you said you know Maryland is is a tough team um in our conference um so this is a huge Victory um to to have a conference game early in this season and uh go on the road and get this Victory it was a good victory it it was a it was a huge Victory huge Victory and um and and and and they did get lucky at times too because uh Maryland's quarterback he overthrew some guys to where they could have scored more especially in that first quarter yeah they like it was a couple throws he overthrew and he was just wide open wide open so um that shows the toughness of Marland but it shows the of Michigan State as well I mean they know um did we lose breed we bre having you good Bri okay can you hear me yeah I'm good yeah it's kind of like can you hear me yeah I can hear you yeah and then and then one thing I've noticed too with this team their tackling is getting better too yeah their tackling is getting better especially in the open field you saw a lot of you know receivers in open field and they and they tackled them like right then and there you didn't see too many like uh broke tackles or anything like that this team can tackle yeah and that's something that they didn't do last year yeah and it comes with the system that coach Smith is running and they believe in it yep absolutely man absolutely you should you hit him right on the nose with that man so um I want to talk about the Russian um our running backs uh like I said Nate Carter um didn't have a great one he only had 11 carries 59 yards Kon Rel Lynch Adams uh 10 carries 46 yards um Arena game is still a little issue like I said it comes with combination with we got a a young offensive line um fairly new that's new and you know it just it takes time I just think that you know the more our offensive line that's you know to open up holes for our running backs and make it a lot easier for Lynch Adams and Carter and you know and our other running backs you know so it it's going to take time I think the rush is going to continue it's going to get better so um like I said it's just going to take time with that you know and um I hopefully it could you know get get it together soon as possible because it's a effect you don't want to you know especially certain teams in certain matchups you don't want to keep going TI tack uh you know throwing the ball all over the place and I think you want to keep it balanced it's like coach Smith wants to do keep it balance a balance attack on the offense so um so hopefully we get this rushan Tech and keep it going a lot more um like I said the offensive line continue you know I'm saying to jail and make sure we open up you know open up good holes for our running backs you know saying to get those creases you know make good blocks you know so um like I said key you know and the rushing rushing Is Not Great you know what I'm saying the total team total only 130 yards with 30 carries not saying a lot you know but you know there things that still just to work on so but yeah it it takes time it it's going to take time it's you know going through practice and everything it's just the more I think more games play the more comfortable they're going to get but yeah you right the running game has but they have to block better cuz you you know the back think man what am I supposed to do I can't just two three tackles to try to get positive yards every time I I get a carry so that they these running backs can get tired even going through that yeah so it can get to them as well absolutely and we got to talk about this breed too Maryland's rushing that team only had 86 yards of toal rushing you know Michigan's defense man you know their defense that defensive line the runs with with guys six guys on Maryland there Hy has 12 carries for 35 yards you know Ray you know eight carries for 20 yards do long as 10 yard there Michigan State Defense especially in the interior stopping the run you know you hold a team to 86 yards of rushing that is huge with 31 carries a total for a whole team you know that that was that was significant today that was significant huge you know to stop you know to hold him a team the 86 yards of rushing that was huge that was huge that I I wanted to you know address that um as far as with the their quarterback you know 26 34 253 two TDS one interception which the one interception that was huge that gave the Michigan State the momentum um to get back in this game so that was that was huge on that so but absolutely very Bri we got to talk about this our receiving Nick Marsh yeah Nick Mar he had a big day today I mean eight carries 194 a touchdown that seven that was 77 yard that was included that was the one that tied the game 24 all in in the fourth quarter that was huge Nick marus caught it in stride Aiden Charles perfect throw the ball laid right to Nick Marsh he had a big day today man um say about he's you know he's going to continue to play like this he's going to he's going to continue to get better he's a he nice speed he can he can make good catches he had a a good he had an excellent he had a big day today for a fresh he did for a freshman so Bri what your yeah he's he's he was he he played wonderful man I mean a guy who's po Poise and um they you know Maryland just didn't have a the answer for him he was just he was just going right through him and it's good to have he's emerging as that top receiver I know people you know people thought Foster was going to be that guy and you know Mar is being that guy and he's not afraid of that moment he's not afraid and he wants to get better yeah even said himself that heyy I want to be I want to be the best receiver ever in the Big 10 yeah and you and for for a guy to have that now and want to be that that's special you got to be got to be glad you have somebody like that that has that expectation for himself yeah and you you got to respect it got to respect it but he had a great game abolutely they had no answer for him at all no going right through the breaking tackles had that long uh touchdown uh catch which was huge that was a huge huge touchdown yeah against a tough team like Maryland you have to get every yard and every you know touchdown you can they G to play tough they at home so it's good to it it's good to see this kid is uh and it's he's have he's going to have more like that this season too he's going to have more it's going to be some games he's going to have about 10 catches D so it's it's going to be there for sure but absolutely keep going with the one game at a time kid you you you got it you got this man you got it yeah absolutely man absolutely he had like I said a big day today um like you said he just Maryland's Maryland secondary just you know the defense per just had no answer for him whoever you try to you know he was just he was at the right place at the right time you know and he he made he made good catches so it was just the receiver stepped up you know Glover six catches 84 yards with a TD he had that 34 yard TD early in the game uh Foster six catches 53 yards nice to see him you know even though he it's not big numbers but he did get a touchdown Jack billan our tight end you know three catches for 25 yards uh they just couldn't get him going you got to get credit to Maryland um to kind of try to take him out of the game so he just couldn't really get it going um our tight end according Antonio Gates um came in he only had that one catch for seven yards but um overall the receivers stepped up man they stepped up today and uh they make they make big plays big catches uh so and um that's you know came down they they they made the catches they make some big plays so um yeah I like I like what it seen you know it the performance offensively was better than it was last weeks um but you know like I said still a lot that need to cleaned up it's still some you know like you know this the penies the turnovers you know since things that need to be cleaned up so um um but they're able to come out with the victory um it's huge a conference win huge um going into next week uh we're going to definitely run over Prairie View um should be a easy Victory but you know not that this college football is easy you mean we' seen what happened today with some upsets today so um but like I said a huge huge Victory today today man for Michigan State you know and got to talk about this too man Bri the defense defense stood out again they did they did up and show up yep you know Jordan Turner seven tackles you know he had two of them for losses um you know Chris Bogle has one sa he had one sack in the game um their their defense is stopping the Run man they they was they was they was phenomenal again man stopping the Run um like I said they gave us some plays the defense far as in the secondary in the pass and they been but didn't not break um and you know say it was couple of blown coverage assignments and stuff you know not paying attention to details on those certain things but um once Michigan State settled down they made plays they had to make they gave him 14 points in the first quarter early than nothing in the second and third well third three points in the third um and then gave up that touchdown Which gave Maryland the lead again early in the fourth quarter uh but other than that Michigan State Defense they did their job they did what supposed to do um people could say oh Maryland miscues miscues part of football you know made that misfield goal uh that interception late uh in the in the second half those miscues those opportunities Maryland had a chance to win they just didn't come through got to get credit to Michigan State Defense on that and so you know Michigan State find a way to win you know two games in a row you know you had lot of turnovers but they found a way to win the game and that's that's you know you a good tough-minded team you know you find ways to win a game could be ugly their things cleaned up but they find a way to win games the defense again stepped up the defense when they had to make plays they made plays so the defense look like you know a Michigan State Defense that we know not saying they wasn't like the the uh the the mark Antonio days you know the defense was just so Elite that you know we're not saying that we we like to see a Michigan State Defense play with that potential with that heart with that gut we'd like to see those type of things this is this is part of what Michigan state does you know so we're just happy about to see what Michigan State you know defense Steed up would have matter most absolutely absolutely and and state is a type of team to where they start they they start off early I mean they I mean they start slow early so it it happen it's been happening with state for years they start off early they got to get the you know the hang of things but yeah definitely the defense definitely stood stood out um the uh the corners cor the corners played a decent game too man we we got some we got you got some cool Corners you know Brantley and all these other guys it's like yeah they they they going to get better too they going to get better as well so it's just about but that defensive line it's yeah it's getting better and better man they putting pressure on quarterback and that's key especially in the Big 10 that's definitely key especially down the line when we play these elite team and stuff like that too you gota be ready absolutely yeah you yeah you you have to be ready and you know and just you gotta you got to like you said take care of business got to take care of business and just gota do you know go to just keep playing hard and uh's so but yeah breed man any final thoughts are Michigan State Victory man yeah like I said just a a good um hard fought Victory it's going to be a lot of that in the Big 10 um physical these these type of physical type games it can wear you out but long as you you know do you do your thing just fight hard and still just never give up it's it's always going to be a chance for a victory so and then with this young get better and he's gonna make have interception or two but it only matters what he does after those interceptions that's the big key what's The Possession after that what has he learned from that how can this team build from with with you know him at quarterback do you know are they goingon to make these throws do they have trust in them and it seem like they have trust in them and the defense that keep doing what they doing keep putting pressure on on the quarterback and just uh you know stay with these uh good receivers out out here in the Big 10 yeah they going to be fine man it just got week after week he man go green go white man I mean it was a victory but hey a win is win and that's how you got to take that's what absolutely that's what can you say that one more time Bri a win can you go green go white that's right we get all night but I think it's another team you you seen what crying about you lost these players and went to the draft you lost we got a new Co you got a new coaching staff you know you got a new Michigan State got the same thing new coach new coaching staff and a rams and jarro G against his old team man I what better way to start the season off than this is just no better way now could you consider this a rivalry game you you could you possibly could is you could you could you say that the Lions and Rams have a rivalry now you could probably say that I'm not going to go that far yet but we'll see yeah but it's it's a game that um we're really going to see think honestly man I think Lions um they might it's it's uh it's G be some hiccups during start because th this whole the starters haven't play in a preseason so they got have a lot of rust so they might start off Rusty a little bit but I think they going to um I think they going to be fine man I I definitely think going to come out with the victory um I think they going to put pressure on Stafford um um it's just I'm I'm a little worried about uh puka nura because he seems to get ready for these type of games and and too to a degree I am because it's just this is a sneaky team sneaky team they run sneaky routes and they have sneaky running backs now them not having huge that just means somebody got to step up they had to step up that interior defense that's going to be huge that's a huge loss for one of the best defensive linemen ever ever I don't care what anybody say ever and to have somebody take that spot it's going to be difficult but we'll see we'll see what happens I'm a little worried about their Corners uh they can get beat but um the Lions going to come prepared um I you can see how they defense is going to be too cuz um and if they can if they can stay healthy and will win this game I think it's going to be at least about a 10-point victory at least you know could be a little bit more I just don't think the r the Rams are going to be a team that not going to go away I think the Lions um is going to come out knowing you know they want to set the tone on Sunday night first game at home you know the Rams going to come in for revenge for Redemption from what happened in the playoffs I think the Lions going to come out with this Victory least win about 10 points um could be more like I said could be a little less it's going to be I just think that you know
