congratulations your first album in nearly two decades so what inspired the album and and why now why was it right I feel like with my documentary this is Paris and next with my Memoir I've just been telling my story and now I wanted to do it through my music and I was just so inspired after performing with Miley and CA stars are blind on New Year's Eve last year and when I was flying home with CA she told me why have you not made another album you were born to be a pop star and that's the rest is [Music] history are doing your thing and you've collaborated with so many great women for this album one in particular Megan Trainer and you recently said that Britney Spears loves the song that you do with Megan so you know a lot of us also want to hear Britney Britney's new music we wanted her to get more music out there any chance that the two of you would collaborate on something together that would be iconic I love her so much and she's always been an inspiration to me for so many years and I just yeah have you had that conversation with her maybe we'll see we'll see now you recently lost many of your belongings in a scary fire that happened on one of the sets of your music video thankfully no one was injured but were you able to finish filming of the video and if if not then when will it was zoom and when will it be released well that was for my music video bad Academy my new single with Megan the stallion and I guess the music video set was just too hot and no just kidding but it was very terrifying just to lose everything we had all the custom looks and just everything there and um a lot of my personal items but I'm so grateful that my baby photos that I had got the day before at my mom's house cuz I was going to scan them me and Nicole were little me and my sister just so many memories and those made it out of the fire out of everything which is just incredible wow and thankfully no one was hurt excuse me I'm so sorry yeah we started just I said The Show Must Go On and we just continued shooting the next two days and the music video comes out tonight at midnight and it is so iconic and so gorgeous and I'm just so proud of it so much to look forward from with you and of course fans are super excited to see you and ni Richie collabor again back in action for The Encore what was it like we already getting the party started up in here what was it like going back to Arkansas and revisiting some of the family members that you stayed with while you were there filming the simple life it was so special just so emotional just to see like wow it's been 20 years since we've been here and just seeing the family going back to the lettings house and being in the same room Nicole that I and I slept in for a month and going and visiting some of the jobs that we worked at and just what an impact we made on that little town and just how sweet and kind everyone was it was just really lovely so awesome and so much fun like Nicole is the funniest person on the planet and when we're together it's just like we're kids again it is everything we need in this um and so were some of these collabs on the album I mentioned you are collaborating with some really incredibly talented women on this from CA Megan the stallion Megan Trainer what was it like to have the opportunity to work with these women a dream that was really important to me I wanted this one this whole album to be all female just badass women and people who I just love and respect so much yeah and just all of a Megan trainers like my little sis she's incredible Maria Basera and I were just on set last week for my music video for without love which is so epic you're turning out so many videos now yeah life of a pop star I tell you what life of a pop star but the life of a pop star this pop star is now a mama too so how is motherhood how is that influencing your music your career choices my little babies are here with me now they love it in New York and I bring them with me whenever possible I say no to so many things they are my first priority and it's so fun just to bring them in the studio and just see them like Phoenix just started dancing so he loves my songs and just Bop around sing along fa I think that his favorite he loves adored that's like a really sweet song and he loves infinity and he loves BBA which is BBA what does that stand for bad Academy I mean par it this album finally this album is very self-reflective it talks about Fame mental health motherhood a variety of different things that we've seen pop up in your life what did you learn most about yourself during this process so much it's just been it's so different from my first album my first album was very of that time just about having fun and being hot and just going out and now of course you still are well thank you but now I'm a sliving mom I work hard and just being with my babies just is everything to me well motherhood looks great on you and so does pop star
