welcome to a new video Do You Remember 2016 I do it was an amazing time to be alive on the internet it was an amazing time to be alive on the internet because the makeup scene on YouTube oh my God it was at it's Prime the amount of makeup tutorials I've seen in that time period is absolutely Bonkers and I kind of miss it okay because I know people nowadays are more into like the clean girl aesthetic you know light makeup and everything like that which is fine but it's just not as fun as the insane colorful makeup looks that people used to do crazy colorful cut creases the highlighter that you could see from outer space Oh my God what a time to be alive so today I decided to revisit that time period of our lives and try to do the 2016 crazy makeup again I haven't done a cut grease in probably 5 years so I'm not sure if I can still do it but today we're going to try so I casesse you forgot what the makeup looks like it looks like this it's basically just very bold makeup very high coverage a lot of foundation a lot of concealer Contour blush crazy highlight and the ey Shadow is very intense like high intensity colors so first off the eyebrows I have very skinny eyebrows now as you guys can obviously tell but that was not the trend back then so I'm just going to get my brow Pomade which I haven't touched in years and I'm just going to make my brows a little bit thicker this isn't the right color though but we're just going to we're just going to try and make it work okay so I'm getting my little brown [Music] brush wow and then I'm going to carve my brows out with some concealer and I'm also going to put this all over my Lids cuz this is going to be the primer for my ey Shadow cuz I will be I'm going to do eyeshadow first and then the base cuz I'm planning on using a lot of eyeshadow so in case it like falls down I don't want to like ruin my bits damn I haven't done this in ages wow beautiful so for the ey Shadow I want to go for something that matches my hair color obviously because I just love it when stuff matches my hair color okay so I'm just using the um Huda beauty color block palett cuz it has basically almost exactly my hair color in it so what the look I'm going to go for I'm going to do um something that matches my hair color and then also another pop of color so I think actually I'm going to go for like the emerald greeny and then also the yellow and maybe I'll find a spot to put some blue as well but we'll see I'm just going to I'm just going to figure it out you know wa gorgeous also this kind of makeup consists of a lot of blending which I'm going to be honest I'm not the best at blending ey Shadow it is kind of tricky but I'm going to try my best okay first color is on absolutely gorgeous honestly I could just put some glitter on this and col it the day and it would be amazing makeup but that's not what we're going to do today we're we're going to go insane so I'm taking a darker color this one and I'm just going to darken the stuff that I have on my eyes up a little bit more this is giving me so many flashbacks it's actually funny oh my God I wonder if some of you let me know in the comments but are some of you like too young to kind of like remember this or like not remember but like were you like too young to wear makeup when this was like a trend cuz I know I know most of you are like around the same age as I am but it would be funny to know any of you are like so young that you never really did this makeup cuz if you didn't I highly recommend trying it out watch some old school Nikki tutorial makeup tutorials and like just have fun wo crazy Loco going to make it even darker I'm using this go forward from this one go forward from the morphe palette yay yeah this one is super dark okay like that this is actually so pretty already I really know like I don't know what I mean I know like Trends come and go but it is kind of funny to see how this was like such such a big thing like worldwide and then I don't know where people were like no I don't want to see ey Shadow anymore just a little bit of highlighter and lip gloss and that's it for today anyways so now we're going to cut the crease which is something that I used to be really bad at then I did it a lot and then I became better at it actually pretty good at it but I haven't done that in ages so I don't know if I'm going to be able to do it again get a flat brush get some concealer and then we're going to cut the crease doing it like halfway my eyelid and then over here I'm just kind of going to like blend it with the eye shadow that I have over there sorry if the light in the video keeps changing it's just that it's like really cloudy today it's like cloudy and sunny and it just changes like every 5 seconds so it's kind of annoying unfortunately summer is pretty much over maybe I should just close the curtains maybe that's better let me try that let me try step number 5,000 is I want to put some yellow on my eye let me get a brush this clean I really I really need to clean my makeup brushes like I literally do not remember the last time I cleaned them I don't remember it's been months maybe even over a year that's not healthy that's not good for you you you should definitely clean your makeup brushes a little bit more often than once a year okay I'm going to go in with this bright yellow e oh very itchy very itchy but I can't touch it cuz then I'm going to ruin [Music] it okay so I'm going to go in with the this is the kidas makeup Escape part and I'm going to go in with I'm going to go in with Galactic Gala and I'm going to put that on my Lids Center of myd I think I'm actually's going to use my finger why not I'm going to sh it in there and I'm going to put it over here oh do I regret that I don't know I don't think I do foret it no that actually works that works w wow to spice it up even more I'm going to add a neon yellow liner why not right using the water activated palette by sua [Music] Beauty no I ruined it on that side no always happens to me I get like overconfident and then I'm not paying enough attention anymore and then I ruin something that I can't really fix anymore oh well I'm actually like impressed by my own skills today that looks pretty cool so now I'm just going to do some eyeliner I'm just going to do a wing liner using the Nyx epic ink liner for that I'm just hoping that I won't ruin it feel like I lowkey lost my mojo when it comes to eyeliner like it used to be like it used to be the thing I was like best at out of all my makeup I've done so many eyeliner tutorials and I would just never really seem to make it work I lost my mojo eyes are almost done I'm just going to do like the mascara and lashes at the end so now I'm just going to do base makeup I don't own Foundation anymore I'm pretty sure wait let me see I did get a I did get a PR package the other day from Huda Beauty prettiest box ever oh my God look at this I got a PR package from them but I think they actually they sent me the wrong one cuz none of these are my shades I'm pretty sure yeah I mean I don't think that really looks like my color oh wait primer first yes yes yes yes is this is the easy blur [Music] primer silicone free smoothing primer oh it feels nice and this is natural Airbrush Foundation well I'm just going to see cuz I think this might be too dark for me [Music] oh yeah this is not my shade but it looks [Music] gorgeous I don't think it's like really my skin color but I also don't think it's that bad cuz it is kind of my neck color so let me just bring it down a little bit oh we also got a carve at the Brows on the top so let's do that [Music] let's just add some concealer to lighten my skin up a bit the crazy triangle that they always [Music] do I'm going to be honest when it comes to base makeup I actually never really followed the popular rules cuz this amount of concealer has never worked for my skin that's just too much it's going to be too cakey but for the sake of today's video I will do a beautiful triangle oh I'm itchy got the chin then we're going to do jaw jaw jaw nose nose and we're also going to do contour and blush this looks crazy let's blend all of this [Music] in blending and everything in look how shiny I look pretty okay I'm just going to set some of the product in place I remember that baking used to be like super popular as well I again I have like super dry skin so unfortunately baking is something that I definitely should not be doing cuz it makes my face look absolutely horrible it gets all cracked and like disgusting so we don't want that going to Contour the nose a bit which I am horrible at but yeah we'll see how it's going to go this went wrong like immediately let me try a different [Music] brush scary I don't like that nose Contour let's see if I can make it a little bit less inent that's a scary nose Contour my guy oh I hate I hate nose Contour I've never been able to do it literally never I've practiced it so many times in my life and I just can't seem to make it work just going to go in with the finishing touches first add a little bit more blush to my face I'm going to go in with this pretty pink one from e.l. Cosmetics just lightly added on there and then obviously the ulra ex Nikki tutorials highlighter my God this was such a popular highlighter look at it [Music] put it on tip of nose Bridge of nose the brow bone and as a highlighter even though my skin is already like super shiny right [Music] now that's crazy okay I'm just going to finish the eye look add some lipstick and then I'm going to be back with the other results exciting [Music] [Laughter] stuff I want you to see my highlighter so I got to need all the lights I can get to get my highlighter shining see anyways I am done with my makeup look at it oh what a throwback I am actually like I'm not even kidding I am really proud of the makeup I did today I did not know that I could still do this I forgot to put on an eyeliner wait something in my waterline wait wait wait wait if you think about it isn't it like absolutely insane that at one point in our lives we decided that we wanted to put like colored chemicals on our eyeball Lids like this is just open flesh and we're just coloring that in with a [ __ ] pencil that is crazy but it looks cute so anyways makeup look is finished I want to start a petition about bringing this makeup back cuz it's so cute I love it I really like this way more than the clean girl aesthetic cuz I mean honestly those girls are pretty don't get me wrong absolutely gorgeous people but this is just way more fun I love self-expression I love crazy colors I love seeing talented people so I really hope that this is going to go back in style again that'll be crazy see if I can do like a nice closeup absolutely gorgeous I would definitely wear this makeup look out the only thing that I wouldn't do is like the face routine thing because this is a little bit too much product from me I definitely am more of a no foundation and only tiny bit of concealer kind of girl but for today it's cute for this Vibe I like it hey this was today's video thank you all for watching let me know what you think of like this makeup but also just like this makeup sound General do you want it to come back again or do you not like it or have you been wearing it like every day since 2016 like maybe you've never even stopped doing this I don't even know why I stopped doing it thank you all for watching and I hope to see you in my next video kiss byebye chiss byebye ch [Music]
