I can't even imagine his family. How is CJ's family doing. Yeah Mark. I mean you can imagine they they're devastated. They say CJ played baseball. along with offense and defense in football. So he was almost always on the field and his parents say he never had any issues even in the Florida heat, which is a reason his death is just hard for them to comprehend. number. Make on the miss. Making more memories of him playing football. in disbelief, there won't be any more photos of CJ following the final ones in this album. and I can't say enough about How truly blessed. We were to have him. And how much? My life is going to forever Be changed. it seemed Larger than Life. He was a 2-star athlete at Carrollwood Day school, But as much as CJ's size 6'4, 290 lbs jumped off the page. so did his smile and his kindness. In fact he was just a gentle giant. He really was He landed a spot on the Bucknell University football team. in early July his parents Calvin and Nicole Dicky. Brought him to school. His first practice was 2 Days Later. giving a fist bump. Like we always do. Hey, go get it. a few hours after that they received a gut wrenching call. CJ had collapsed while doing drills in the weight room. He's been training working out, getting a self ready? and this just came out of left field. CJ was awake and talking when his parents arrived at the hospital. they say doctors indicated, CJ has Sickle Cell traits that may have contributed to the issue. according to experts, this is a blood disorder that in rare cases. can cause serious problems during exercise. still Calvin and Nicole figured their son would recover. But 2 Days Later, CJ passed away, I just could not have imagined. someone. so healthy. So full of life. passing away. 2 Days later. And now they're left with they're left questions. CJ's, parents say they and the school knew about his condition. and Physicians, cleared him to play. it's very important. to understand what happened. Because it's so important to prevent this from happening. again Again, still they aren't sure any answer or any length of time can heal a wound like this. We're not the only ones hurting he left a whole village. of people that are grieving. And we reached out to Bucknell University for comment a spokesperson. responded by offering condolences to the Dickie family While adding the Bucknell family. and Community is saddened by this sudden loss.
