report you're saying today a little bit warmer in the afternoon than we saw yesterday yeah but not by too much and it's certainly not going to be the heat that's an issue for you today these are conditions that we can contend with and it's going to be fine out there for the temperatures but the winds are going to be a concern as well as how dry it ends up heading into this afternoon now a look at the alerts that I'm tracking for you bright and Breezy for your Thursday with temperatures on the rise we'll end up a little warmer heading into Friday and we'll have similar additions to tomorrow on Saturday as well and then we do see a sharp drop in temperatures a cooling trend from Sunday through early next week with a chance for showers as well it's going to feel very much like fall heading into next week's forecast and I think that's something a lot of us are ready for as far as what we're seeing outside this morning here's that live look at the sundow bridge in Reading where it's lit up in that gorgeous Hue of fuchsia and it's going to be a great morning to get out for a stroll the one issue you're going to be contending with is the wind today if you're looking to get out for that fresh air 66 degrees right now for Chico so great or for reading excuse me 63 for Chico and Orville 61 for Red Bluff upper 50s for Willows we're in the 50s to low 60s in the Foothills right now and we're in the 30s to 40s in our Mountain zon so temperatures trending fairly similar to yesterday winds out of the north to 9 mph right now in reading and those gusts are going to be a bit more substantial through most of the day 20 to 25 mph gusts midm morning we'll see gust potentially up to 30 m hour briefly today and then up to around 20 M an hour for the afternoon and then after that we'll see winds diminishing tomorrow throughout the day and shifting to become out of the south in the afternoon hours and then we'll see similar winds to tomorrow afternoon through your Saturday so South Winds at 10 mes hour in the afternoon tomorrow humidity not recovering as well overnight 43% for reading a little higher than that for the rest of the valley but dipping into the teens to run 20% this afternoon so the dry and windy conditions are concerned for fire danger clear skies now in this hyper local look at the satellite and radar for the last 3 hours as we move forward we're going to stay today and you can see this rotation here here is that cool system that brought our showers our cooling temperatures and those winds yesterday we're keeping the winds but we're going to have sunshine and milder temperatures as high pressure off the coast builds Inland and then heading into the weekend here is that system that's going to bring a huge change of pace it's going to roll into the Pacific Northwest starting late Friday through Saturday night and then we see that rolling down the coast driving a big change of pace from Sunday into the start of next week's forecast sunshine at 8:00 a.m. in the valley more sunny skies at noon for all of us and it's going to be a bright afternoon for your commute home get those sunglasses ready to go and I would dress in maybe a light extra layer this morning but be ready to shed that heading into the afternoon Sunny to mostly sunny throughout your Friday forecast and we'll see suay to mostly sunny skies for most of Saturday as well a few thin clouds overhead but not a whole lot more clouds increasing Sunday with a chance for showers in the northern mountains and temperatures dropping substantially and then a better chance for showers early to midweek next week Monday or Sunday night in early Monday then again and on Wednesday our best chance for showers temperatures today ending up in the mostly upper 70s to mid 80s in the northern mountains mostly low to mid 70s in the Sierra and Southern Cascades Foothills in the 70s to 80s and in the valley today upper 80s to lower 90s for the afternoon with sunny to mostly sunny skies so not too shabby out there for your Thursday afternoon and winds Breezy out of the Northwest temperatures on the rise tomorrow low to mid 90s in the valley with Sunshine lower 90s still Saturday and then a drop into the upper 70s to low 80s Sunday showers are possible mainly late in the day sun into early Monday morning and then we'll see another round of showers possible Wednesday with temperatures Kelly topping out in the 70s in the afternoons next week with lows in the low to bid 50s that feels very much like fall Oh indeed all right thanks Court
