it here at the UK Premier oh great always great I love being here but uh you know I love this movie so this is fun what was it like for you steeping back ah easy easy like riding a bike really fun how did you feel when you first saw yourself back in the suit and all that great just like uh when I jump back in the bat suit easy and the nuke h uh as good if not better what is it like working with Tim Barton it's so boring you have no idea it's just doll doll itself now he's the best hi Tim I'm jod lovely to meet you Tim Burton nice to meet you Hi listen 36 years that's longer than I've been alive yeah well me I've been alive yeah I'm I'm about ready to go myself how does it feel to finally be shared this film tonight here in the UK no it's great I mean it's like so special working well you know uh Michael and Winona and Katherine again and then with the new cast members it's so beautiful it's a special family for me and making a sequel can always feel nck and what was it about this story in this script that built right well I didn't really feel like it was a sequel so I just I I treated it more like a weird family story that has some characters from the original really I didn't so I didn't really treat it so much especially after all these years it didn't feel like a sequel to me and how fun was it getting to see Michael in the suit it was great like demon possession all over again and what was it like getting to see them reunite as well it was beautiful I I I was surprised at how emotional I got seeing them all together again it was yeah it made it very much more personal and why should people go and see Beetle Dr be dress I don't know cuz it's amazing that's why lovely to meet you thank you so much we've been Winona Ryder waiting such a long time how does it feel to finally we sharing it here at the UK Premier it's a dream come true honestly I I'm not just saying that it really is it really is an absolute Dream from true and what was it like reuniting with everyone it was so special it was actually really emotional um it was it was one of the more special experiences that I've ever had honestly and just to be with everybody again and and to to get to work with Jenna and Justin and Willam and Monica I mean it I took a fantasy cast so and what was it like stepping back into the shoes of Leia um it was really terrifying at first but we've been talking about it for so long and um I trust him like as so much that you he just created this really beautiful atmosphere that felt really like free and very safe in a in a great way like in that trusting way you mean it's not going to use something that doesn't work and um it was just sort of as a fan of film to get to actually have more stuff with Michael was really magical for me because I'm I'm a huge fan like everybody else so um yeah that was really wonderful every everyone everyone's spectacular and finally then why should people go and see be oh my gosh because you have to I mean it really does it no it really does have something for I think every generation it's it's really it's really good I really think it's a great time and it's it's got a lot of heart in it I again thank you so much for this film you Jenna Ortega lovely to meet you you're look incredible thank you so much I appreciate it how does it feel to finally be sharing this here at the UK Premier uh it's an absolute honor and it's very exciting considering we shot here and um because of the experience I had shooting I'm very fond of London and how special has it been for you getting to be a part of this world it's incredibly special anytime that I get to work with Tim you know every day is so exciting and so new and fresh and and inspiring so you know to join him on something like Beetle Juice is um I just never thought that it would happen so it's all very surreal how special has it been working with Bona and Catherine and building that multigenerational relationships they're two of the loveliest women I've ever met in my entire life they're so kind they're so unbelievably talented and generous and um what an honor and and how lucky I feel to know them and love them and just finally then why should people go and see beet just Beetle Juice because it's fun it's a good time don't take anything too seriously and I think you know when it handles a a subject as dark as death it's nice to make light of and kind of laugh at it a little bit if you can absolutely you're amazing thank you so much lovely to meet you how are you both Catherine O’Hara lovely to see you listen 36 years it's feel to finally be sharing it here at the UK premere it's wonderful it's really exciting to be here with my husband who designed the first Beetle Juice say Welsh yeah 37 years ago yeah that's the bizarre part is to see it 37 years later this and here we all are I didn't do this one no we didn't do this one uh but this movie so has the same Spirit as the first one it's as if it is a new it's not a sequel It's a whole it's an original movie but you'll recognize some of the characters what was it like reunite him with the original cast oh too exciting why do you what do you think it was just lovely and you know like family you're just instantly back together like no time has passed that's what it felt like but then also the new cast with Jana as well I mean what was that like Jana is a very cool young woman wow Beyond talented just really very cool very playful and loose and collaborative and yeah she more than fit in I think she inspired this movie I think Tim working with her on Wednesday really pushed him to do this really wow that's huge phe indeed that's true what was the first moment like when you saw Michael back in the suit well when you first see him he's just talking as himself but he's in full hair and makeup he's got the mold growing all over his face and he's going hey do you believe we're here we're doing this movie isn't this a great like do you know what you look like good no it's very exciting and just finally then why should people go and see be be why do you think I'm going to answer everything with why do you think yeah because that's fun and crazy and wildly inventive and beautiful looking and nuts scary moments actually kind of creepy but then there's a laugh right after a great laugh so yeah cuz it's great that's why and you're also amazed on it thank you so much you're ion lovely to meet you thank you hi wellam Willem Dafoe lovely to see you again how are you doing good good listen 36 years that's longer than I've been alive we've been waiting for this for so long how how special does it feel to be here tonight sharing it at the UK premere good I I remember seeing the original movie and I liked it a lot I was no kid but I wasn't uh that old either um so it is it's been a long time and usually you're kind of suspicious when people return to material after such a long time but this was uh it was connected you know and uh I felt like Tim was really uh firing on all cylinders and he's really fun to work with really energetic really creative and really asks you to invent things and play with them and that's that's fun and how special has it been for you getting to be a part of the SW H it's good I mean we'll see I mean it's one thing to do it and then one one thing to see how it gets Reed but uh this is pretty good and uh we just showed it in Venice and it was a good reception so well I thought you had amazing in this I love your character how much fun did you have playing wolf Jackson well it's fun because the character I get to make fun of actors actually and uh so I get to make fun of myself a little bit so that's that's always a healthy and enjoyable thing to do and why should people go and see be juice be juice h i I never think people should see anything but but I would recommend it because it's inventive it's it's a very particular it's Tim in his element it's Michael and and the other cast members coming back new cast members that are really uh fun and interesting you know there's a lot there well it's lovely to see you again all this accent isn't giving you yet PTSD no no no I'm fine I'm fine with that I love accents actually thank you so much lovely I'm lovely what's going on how's Justin Theroux it going so nice to meet you too 36 years that's a long time that's longer than I've been [Applause] alive how does it feel to finally be sharing this movie and here in the UK tonight I mean it feels so good for people to finally see how great it is and I really mean that I'm not just saying that cuz I'm a you know I'm not toing the party line it really is a great film so you know all the things we've been having to keep secret for so long are now finally the world gets to see it and gets to sort of Step into the mind of Tim Burton so it's fantastic and how special has it felt for you to be a part of this I mean I don't it's words can't really express it you know it's Beetlejuice is such a part of our social Fabric or cultural Fabric and to finally be able to sort of just step into the world is pretty impressive and pretty special and what was that moment like on set when you first saw Michael and all the suit it was actually offset it was I saw him uh doing like um like we're doing hair and makeup tests and I hadn't met him yet and they said why don't you come in and and meet Michael he's in his trailer so I went I knocked on his trailer and he opened the door and looked down at me and he's full Beetle Juice regalia and it was pretty special and tell us a bit about your character in this in Rory Rory's kind of can I say he's a bit of a dag he's a bit of a dag um and he's um he's hilarious he's sort of self-centered and um in this kind of sick codependent relationship with Winona and um he's sort of this spiritual he's sort of the worst boyfriend in the world and just finally then why should people go and see beel juice be juice well you should definitely see this movie in a theater because it has so many details and i' tell you listen to me if you watch this on your phone or you watch this on your laptop you will not have the same experience you got to get out and see it amazing I love you in this by the way you're absolutely hilarious thank you thank you for so enjoy it tonight thanks
