still time to write their ship facing BC last night yeah they're out of time now uh there have been two ACC conference games played this season Florida state has managed to lose them both the nulls also lead college football the number of continents lost on that would be two dropped the opener in Ireland last night's loss even more devastating at home against Boston College under a minute to go in the half Florida State down 143 DJ U angal really struggling wide open Daren Williamson and he just overcooks it got to have that very next play we un La a bit behind his receiver Kyle Morlock so Florida state has to settle for a field goal field goal is not going to get it done they're down 14-6 at the half dju one of six in the Red Zone in that first half third quarter not much better on a fourth down now it is fourth down you got to make something happen here but this ain't it just floats one out there right to Max Tucker and Max going to run for a while gets it all the way down inside the 10 yd line BC going to quickly turn that into points two plays later Thomas Castellanos rolls and finds KY robish show and the Eagles up 21 six they're having a party in the nlls end zone and the Florida state crowd very frustrated and they start a chant yeah they want the backup Rock Glenn dju trying to shut out the noise this time connects with KRON portier tremendous effort shrugs off a guy makes a cut and gets in Florida state cuts it to 2113 one possession game but they could not stop the ground game for BC that's tan Ward who played for the NS a couple years ago good for 27 Bill O'Brien's guys ran all over floor stay 267 yards on the ground then roash show goes in Boston College wins this one 2813 the fans are streaming out in Tallahassee in the third quarter that's how bad it was Mike norvell's guys beaten physically and mentally for us you know I just you know sick to how this uh how the season started obviously tonight U you know you I failed in in preparing the team to to be able to go out and respond tonight you know I didn't put them in a in a position to to Showcase what I believe that this football team is um and it's it's extremely disappointing and you know I apologize to to our to our fans apologize to to everybody associated with the program I mean that was was um you know extremely disappointing that um we're not better Mike norvell's second apology in two games that's not a good Trend uh we bring in our man Paul fbom to talk about this one it was no fluke Paul I mean BC uh LED from the get-go they outgained them they they manhandled them physically on the fronts how bad is this right now for Florida State this is a program shattering loss for this season I mean it's almost inconceivable David to think about where this program was on selection Sunday in December uh thinking that they were in the playoffs and then going to all the different courses that they tried to take to get back in it which they couldn't of course and then and then every every ever since then it's been a disaster they lost by 60 points to Georgia and the Orange Bowl doublin two weeks ago and and this was what everyone thought was the bounceback okay let's put all that behind us let's have a good game on a prime time uh Standalone night and it it got worse and and we are sitting here the sun is not even up in most of the country on September 3rd David and this season is over for Florida State there's no getting around it that's not hyperbolizing uh that that is just the truth of the matter because you can't you really can't come back from this I mean they're 0 and2 in the ACC and they haven't even seen a good team yet in terms of what they they'll have to face in their own conference you just try to wrap your head around of Paul me that number 10 team in the land coming in preseason polls this may be the last time we talk about Florida State All Season it may be just completely done for them yeah and and and and I I want to compliment Boston College certainly uh they they they came to play and and they they they performed extremely well just like Georgia Tech is and I think some of us thought it would that's what happened in Dublin maybe it was more about the complexities of Georgia Tech this is about Florida State uh they have clearly on the quarterback situation uh they have other problems that that I don't think can be fixed usually it how many times have you heard this cliche David you you you progress more from game one to game two they got worse okay uh that that tells you where this season is going straight down the tubes okay uh no silver lining in those clouds there they are demoralized right now in Tallahassee uh they're just hot right now bad rouge after what happened LSU let one slip away Sunday night in Vegas they LED SC in the but the Trojans rallied to win they scored a touchdown with 8 seconds left to take it and that had Brian Kelly pounding the podium at his team's lack of Killer Instinct is it disappointing when those guys perform and you don't get a victory hell yes hell yes I mean and and that's what I said to the team I said we had some guys played their butts off tonight and and we're sitting here again we're sitting here again talking about the same things about not finishing when you have an opponent in a position to put him away but what we're doing on the sideline is feeling like the game's over and I'm so angry about it that I got to do something about it I'm not doing a good enough job as a coach and I got to coach him better because it's unacceptable for us not to have found a way to win this football game it's ridiculous and it's crazy you know he started that response very calmly and then it just escalated and he got going and then he's pounding the the table there uh what did you make of what Bri what what that what was that performative was that a a motivational tactic was that genuine emotion what you see there David uh Brian Kelly is 0 And1 on the field and he's 0 and one at trying to act uh that was not an Oscar winning performance uh I mean first of all you you got to punch with with your your ver your verbalizing comments he he had it all wrong I mean I'm I'm a big fan of Brian Kelly and I think his record is is sp spectacular uh but that that was just too too little too late that you do that before the game you do that at halftime you do that on the sidelines you don't do it afterwards and and he he did take the the focus away from his players and maybe that was his his goal but in the end it's still a loss and and a terrible loss at that I'll tell you how bad a loss it was they went from a 25% chance to make the playoff all the way down to 5% after dropping it to SC in Vegas uh another sec School in the National Spotlight this week fourth ranked Texas heading to Ann Arbor to face the defending Champion Michigan Wolverines Michigan did have a bit of a struggle in their opener against Fresno State before pulling away late the Longhorns rolled over Colorado State Quin ERS threw three touchdown passes and college game day will be there at an arbor on Saturday morning uh what what should we expect for this one Paul Texas should win this game because Michigan did not look good in its opener Michigan is going through the transition that we all know about and the one thing I like about Texas in this game is that they have been in environments like this before and Nick Sabin sitting on that game day set Saturday can talk about that because he was the coach last year a year ago this very weekend David When Quinn yers and and Steve sarkeesian went into Tuscaloosa as an underdog and upset the tide they won by 10 it was a a game CH it was a a program and season changing win it helped Propel the Longhorns
