hey what's going on everybody this is Tyrome back with tech life and here you have it the deal is officially announced this is straight from Verizon's new center Verizon to acquire Frontier it's it's an official deal it's it's out publicly um they're looking to acquire Frontier at right around 20 billion seems to be Frontier valued at around 7 billion and there's about 12 billion in debt it's expected to be an all cash deal so here you have the uh the complimentary Cutting Edge fiber Network that uh Frontier has today so you can see it on the map how it significantly expands Verizon reach across the US let's read a little bit here so it increases scale with 2.2 million fiber subscribers and will extend Verizon network reach to 25 million premise premises across 31 States in Washington DC transaction valued at 20 billion expected to be a creative to revenue and adjusted EIT growth up on closing Verizon reaffirms full year 2024 guidance projected to generate at least 500 million in annual run rate cost synergies and then there's an analyst called that I want a or investor conference that I'm going to jump on here in a little bit so some people confused some people are saying well why is Verizon buying back an asset that they previously owned um just uh different times different leadership uh today is uh the racist to convergence in my opinion that's what this signals and Verizon wants to be a part of that they want to be they want to be able to compete with convergence right if if AT&T is the competition as some Outlets have called out um even after the close of this deal right it still has to go through regulatory approval but even after the close of this deal uh Verizon will still be significantly smaller in in in fiber size if you compare that to AT&T so now you could speculate and make the you know raise the question who who's Verizon going to buy next right if if it's all about competing in the converge space they're going to have to match or get at least closer to AT&T size and scale as as it pertains to fiber so they would Verizon would likely have to buy some other smaller players too to continue to grow their size of scale on fiber and they probably have to start building that organically in in other areas so this is a long-term project in my opinion um this is a this is a jump start if you will this deal is a jump start but they're going to have to continue to build in other parts of the country to start growing and and gaining the size and scale that's required in my opinion to really compete with AT&T on the converge piece and then you know there's T-Mobile T-Mobile will have to start buying up more players too in order for them to start competing in that space But this space is very expensive I want you guys to keep that in mind the space is very expensive it's not cheap um as you can see Verizon's by paying 20 billion for this that's Sprint T-Mobile paid like 26 billion for the entire company Nationwide Sprint and Verizon is paying 20 billion for you know just just the footprint that they're getting they're not even getting a nationwide footprint so keep that in mind this is very expensive but I think Verizon will continue to buy up some players as they see fit so let me get on this call let me get on uh another call and then we'll talk about it more in a in a in a later video let me know your thoughts like share subscribe see yall in the next one peace
