what's up everybody how we doing today hopefully everyone is having a wonderful and blessed day wanted to do a new video series and it's not going to be a long series I wanted to talk about individual freshman that I think will make the biggest impact in 2024 for our Gamecocks a number one on my list and I don't know if this is everyone else's list I call him the Silent Assassin Dylan Stewart why do I call him Sil assassin we don't hear much from the kid right not a bunch of Social Media stuff uh not a lot coming out in interviews I don't think he's a very talkative person um people like to compare him to past uh defensive ends at South Carolina uh including jaavan County but before I really get into Dylan Stewart I want to say thank you again please hit the like subscribe uh hopefully all my family out there in YouTube land is having a beautiful day but I appreciate every one of you guys I really do um a 6566 Dylan Stewart 270 plus pounds we saw his transformation come out and some photos that were released from what he looked like when he got to campus to what he looks like now just before uh fall practice started there's a picture released of him showing the effort and the work he's put in in the training facilities right the muscle gains and all that stuff but I wanted to talk more about the ability that I saw even back in the spring game uh things that we're hearing now out of practice and scrimmage right not a lot of people have asked about Dylan Stewart haven't seen him really do a lot of interviews since fall practice started but going back to the spring game observations of mine and what I saw on Dylan Stewart uh very quick off the line the ability to run the speed the ability to run plays down players down from the backside uh the motor the effort that he gave uh during the game a little bit different than what people want to compare to which it day Clowny uh putting that type of expectation on anyone uh even on Clowny his freshman season where Clowny really didn't start a lot of games um we only think of when Clowney really got going in his sophore year but he did make some plays in his freshman season that were impactful for South Carolina too and I think Dylan Stewart's going to do the same thing I'm kind of going to put some projections on what I think Dylan Stewart will do this year but I want to Spotlight these young kids that decided to come to our University right did uh you know they stuck with their commitment they didn't flip when they bought in to what the University of South Carolina told them Shane Beamer they bought into it they stuck with their commitment and now they're on campus and they're getting ready to see their first action in college football we're all excited for them I am I'm very excited for all our freshman I'm excited for a whole team but I really want to see what these freshmen can do because these are the the headliners from last year and the headliners from the recruiting class and Dylan Stewart I think my personal opinion is going to be the most impactful this year why he's in a position to do it right uh defensive end to me for a freshman is not a hard position to learn um but you the effort that you can give from that position is one one that means a lot a lot of pressure on the quarterbacks uh stopping to run uh you know making it hard on screen passes deflections especially a guy his height uh these are all things forcing turnovers these are all things that young freshman uh defensive ends and defensive kids can do right he doesn't really truly have to make a lot of reads um like you would think with a linebacker or a corner or guys in the defensive back field he's just got to figure out who's got the football and go get him right that's what Dylan Stewart is going to do um I think he's an every down guy and I know it's going to be rotated uh there's a lot of depth at defensive end this year I think he starts against Old Dominion there's some opinions out there that says he won't start that they'll probably start the older guys like Gilbert Edmund uh and Kyle Canard but I don't know I don't know if you keep this kid off the field I don't know if you can keep him off the field I don't know if there's someone out there that's going to give more effort and I definitely don't think there's someone out there that has more Talent they have more experience but I don't think we have a guy on our team to the level of a Dylan Stewart when it comes to the talent that this kid brings and and he's not a talker that's what I love about him like just you know almost like Moves Like a Cat Just slays In The Weeds moves slow don't let nobody even know you're there use your camouflage around you let all the noise around you kind of hide you and then bam come uh game time when the lights come on that's when you make you move that's when you'll be talked about the most but I do think he'll be one of the uh most impactful freshman out of this class um and I wanted him to give him the spotlight and I wanted to highlight the kid uh thank the kid did for choosing our University everybody said well we pay him all he still could have chosen everyone wanted Dylan Stewart he could have chosen many many other places to go and he would have still made his nil money wherever he chose to go but he stuck with his commitment to South Carolina he is one of us uh we we're happy to have him and uh if he ever comes across this video here you go I'm going to put some pressure on you there Dylan Stewart I say Dylan Stewart gets seven plus sacks this year everybody's going to be like but that's kind of high for a freshman I just think the kid has the ability to do it I think we play a lot of teams that tend to want to throw the football which gives him the opportunity to put pressure on the quarterback and uh make some plays I QB hurries he's going to have a lot of those I expect that kid to be high over 10 when it comes to QB hurries I also think tackles for loss he's going to be into 12 or more 12 to 15 or more range well tackles for losses a lot but he has a motor to run down screen play whether it's a wide receiver screen whether it's a a screen to a a running back he has the motor and the speed to catch people from behind and I think that's where a lot of his tackles for loss can come um tackles overall all defensive linemen don't tend to have a bunch of tackles in a season I think Dylan Stewart could be in the 35 Plus range into the four 30 between the 35 45 range of tackles on the season and then some people look at that well that's not a lot of tackles when you're rotating through and other players are on the field and you have to share that time because you have to stay fresh that's a lot of tackles and now I'm not talking about if South Carolina makes a bowl game I'm talking about just in a 12 game season I think he can get to the mark of 35 to 45 tackles could that be a bar set fairly High I think if you were to talk to Dylan stew Stewart the bar that he has for himself is a lot higher than what I just said he he probably wants to have 10 plus sacks he probably wants to have high teens to 20 uh tackles for loss I mean tackles for loss isn't something to just happens right it to if you get to 10 8 to 10 tackles for loss that's usually pretty good when you look at stats of defensive players but I I think this kid has the talent to do it I think he's he's not going to be red shuttered he's going to play a lot this year um and he's going to make a big impact but I got to get out of here like I said I appreciate all you guys that it's tremendously uh a blessing and and appreciated how you guys are subscribing to the channel and helping it grow right now and I never want to record a video without telling everyone thank you and how much I appreciate it and uh we'll talk to y'all later hopefully everyone has a blessed and wonderful rest of their day peace y'all
